- Another one of Presto's spells misfires, this time leaving Presto and Uni to search for the others who are trapped in a giant's castle and pursued by a strange creature called a slime beast.
Writer: Jeffrey Scott.
Original Air Date: December 10, 1983.
PLAYLIST: • Dungeons & Dragons - C... - Фільми й анімація
I have been watching 1 ep every Saturday for the past 13 weeks feels like 1983 all over again thank you for posting this and to allow me to feel like I'm 11 again thanks
I've been doing something similar on Friday afternoons.
Uni wearing that green spell cap was quite humorous.
Also funny that Uni used the cap to cast a spell better than Presto. Haha!
Presto is really the most powerful and dangerous of all of them.
He just got to learn how to master his hat.
RIP Adam Rich. I hope your character Presto went to your funeral 😥⚰️💐✝️
The slime beast appeared in the episode with the prison of agony
Uni is better at using Presto’s hat than he is
Duane Chandler Presto doesn't think of convenient spells which is so damn agitating. For example, there's no need for him to ever be tired when it comes to walking. He didn't have to walk up all those flights of stairs. He could have came up with a spell that could have allowed him to float or ride up those steps. Uni somehow managed to conjure up a floating magic carpet something that Presto could have been used.
Spell-users are always supposed TO be somewhat weak in their early Levels to compensate for the Earth-shattering POWER that they can unleash later on...
I think his main problem, is with his terrible wording when conjuring.
He really doesn't even need to say anything, except it's the only way he knows. He did conjure that aircraft carrier, which is one of the only times he pulled exactly what he wanted.
In the comic, where he's older, he becomes a much better Wizard, but it's been almost 20 years, since I read it, and I don't remember much from it.
Veng3r
Exactly. He doesn't have much confidence either. The one time he pulled the aircraft carrier, was in response to Eric insulting him. It was exactly what he wanted, but he usually pulls something that works, even though his wording is terrible.
Uni's also a magical creature and Presto's a human so might be easier for her.
Who wouldn't recognize Eric's over the top panic? LOL 😆😆😆😆😆
I would still love an episode' showing how they all met , how they got on. Even family and friend ships , and a look at what was going on in the realm. A link to how the ride became enchanted...
It was the 80s, they figured viewers didn't need a backstory and an introduction episode. They just jumped right in and used the opening to explain what little backstory they decided the series needed.
Nao Shadowpaws
The opening sequence, is one of my favorites. It shows how they got there, who they are, by their D&D classes, their guide/teacher, and their main adversary, all in a one minute opening.
I agree, like a good movie, or show, their interactions tell what one needs to know about their friendships. It establishes that they've been questing for awhile, and by the skill in which they use the weapons, except Presto, although he seems to pull something that works when needed.
It's a great show, and if you can find the comic, from the late 80s, it continues the story, with Eric's brother taking his place, and Presto training under a powerful Wizard.
It's by D.C., and called Tour of the Realms, but it's very difficult to find.
So you would like a D&D cartoon Documentary.
I like how when Presto tries to cast a spell most times he screws up, relating to Presto not rolling them 20s
The trend of "everything MUST be explained" has really been for the worse for storytelling.
Love when Uni talks. The part with Uni using Prestos hat was great!
It's a D&D parody of Jack & the Beanstauk .
This was the first Dungeons & Dragons episode I've seen
The writers dropped their Monster Manual on this one. Gold Dragons are hyper intelligent, can speak multiple languages, can cast spells like crazy, and are usually surrounded by books. The one in this episode seems to be of animal intelligence and looks like a damn dinosaur.
BlackburnBigdragon Probably b/c their target audience was a bunch of little kids, and not some 40 year old virginal gaming dorks sitting around in their parents' basement, surrounded by D & D supplements and stale fart smell.
@@zachmcmillan4060 Obviously you seem to have never met a gamer in real life, because all you seem to do is stereotype based on comic book and movie depictions.
It would be interesting to have dragons smart enough to talk and use magic.
@@vermiciosknid9629 well there is Tiamat.
@@zachmcmillan4060you’re a real piece of shit, you know that Zach?
this is the only episode i remember watching back in the 80
Thank you so much for putting these up. This was my favorite show when I was a kid and now me and mybkids are enjoying it together.
Fantastic episode! Presto is one of my favorite characters in the gang and the one I relate to most- particularly for being nerdy and funny. Sometimes amusing how some of his spells backfire but Presto does come through when the going gets tough. The "Jack & the Beanstalk" reference made for a cool plot line.
WesterosWolf1327
He pulled an aircraft carrier, that one time Eric mentioned them needing one, after being ridiculed.
He always comes through when it counts.
@@CorbCorbin Presto is hot
Presto's magic is a little unorthodox but it gets the job done.
@@vermiciosknid9629 And he's handsome too
@@vermiciosknid9629 Totally!
Presto rolled a nat-20 at the end there for sure, also god damn did he annihilate that Giant.
Awesome death for a Brooklyn Giant.
Are they on Skull Island?
1:40 That was a freaking Stegosaurus .
Why are they running?
They could have easily fought that thing off 😒
His spell said make the giant little so is he really dead or just really small?
I love all the cuteness in this episode. Especially, Uni's incantation.
You know the one thing I've never figured out. Was how the heck Uni pissed off Tiamat. And was chased half way across the realm by her.
Writers : "how will we introduce uni to the episode and make her go straight up to the kid Bobby ?,oh i came up with and idea, how about make her run away from Tiamat the dragon and run straight to Bobby" lmao !
Dragon has to eat.
@@marlawhite1430some dragons can eat magic.
'Presto Spells Disaster' This was the name of the episode that i always remembered. I even remember asking the meaning of spell to my English teacher back in the days.
Nobody gonna say anything about Presto's spell at the end? " I'll fiddle with my twiddle and diddle with the middle"
HaHaHaHaHa
Sounded like something straight out of Pee-wee Herman 😒
@@marlawhite1430 Do you think Presto is good looking?

@@marlawhite1430 Would you marry Presto?
"and make the giant little" 🤣
Such a good episode!
I did not realise how perverted the guy in the industry are
It's odd that adults introducing children to different worlds guided by a dungeon master
The word master in dungeon master says it all
So Presto gets hustled five minutes into being alone for the first time. How did theses kids survive so many episodes?
Sheer dumb luck
Hank's bow is right up there with Lightsabers, Bolt Guns and Indy's whip.
His costume is on point as well.
Hank's bow is smarter than Cap's shield
I would certainly put the bow at the same level as bolt guns and Indy's whip but not lightsabers. Lightsabers beat Hank's bow as they do most weapons in sci fi and fantasy.
I had a dream of Dungeons and Dragons! I was Presto
Seems to me like Presto is more like a wild magic Sorcerer that always rolls poorly.
I think he's a chaos magician!
Why is the Giant apparently from Brooklyn? No back story on that?
+TheEurasian7 I guess it's just a pun off of the New York Giants.
Eric can speak giant according to his character sheet
Cult of Cthulhu
😂 Really? I forgot about that.
I remember reading them years ago, and they aren't first level characters, as most people think they are.
I feel Presto needs the most highly detailed spellbook and the best wizarding rod money can buy--in that world--as well as a bigger level of confidence for his magic to work
Kaidus4ce Or maybe practice a little during those miles they’re always walking
That's kinda the point of their items I think. It either plays to their greatest strength or theor weakness. Hank and Diana are both confient and capable. Eric is cowardly. Bobby is brash and brutish while Sheila seems to prefer being unseen. Presto (the only character who does not have a normal name) is capable of a lot but he lacks confidence. His hat rewards him being sure of himself while when he's in a panic it goes crazy, but at least never causes harm.
Presto at the end of D&D not aired finale episode requiem, after the pupils redeem Venger's fall to evil back to light, decided to stay in the realm to become a wizard apprentice to who else Human wizard Venger and gets his girl Zarla from the Last illusion episode.
Presto was going to just leave Uni to that three headed freak and she only got out on her own.
This one's my favorite, next to the lost children and the Dragon's graveyard.
don't diddle with your twiddle, Presto, this is a kid's show
If someone had told me this game had carnivorous stegosaurs I would have started playing much sooner.
Another great episode of Dungeons and Dragons.
Khi magician mawl leh rintlak leh laktlak loh lutuk khi chu awwww
If that golden dragon is good, they should have stayed with it.
Way to go, Uni!

Good Story ! I Like It . Episode 14

1:11 Spot's roar from "The Munsters".
I feel they could have put that magic carpet to better use..
Ikr, I mean they could at least have placed a small but elegant table on it and served some hot tea and biscuits...
It disappeared after they got to safety. It was just a flavoured telekinesis spell.
Presto is the most helpless character after Uni, with Eric coming in very close at third place
The nostalgia I luf it
The Best Childhood in The World has the 1980's in it.Preferably anytime before 1986.And The Motion Animation Picture. The Dungeons and Dragons 🐉Saturday Morning TV Cartoon Series.
So his Willy is a Slimebeast huh? I think they have medication for that.
I like that they made the cavalier so cavalier
Presto was just gonna dip on Uni? Shame, Presto, Shame
He literally had no choice, he would have gotten beaten up if he refused.
Reminds me of Jack and the beanstalk

Here We Go Lucky Number 13
Episode 13 .
Have A Good Weekend. PRESTO !
Lol Jesse
19:50 when I am alone I use this spell.
1:24 why there is a Stegosaurus in this cartoon?
2 minutes in, checking the comments...is no one going to talk about how the stegosaurus was a vegetarian??
Dinosaurs did appear in the old
DD Monster Manuels.
Vegatarian dinosaurs were known for trampling anyone that gets in their territory or near their nest.
My only problem is that they all ran from the Stegosaurs .
Dinosaurs are tough but not magic.
Their weapons could have scared it off.
Presto... always messing up the somatic component, aka "twiddle"
Wait, where is the slime? What?? Green slime, ya know, standard D&D creature. Misnomer.
Wow. Presto just basically gambled his unicorn buddy away.
He had no choice.
Reminds me back in my Days when was on Fox Kids
The Giants death is hilarious!
What is this?
What is this?
HEEEEEYYYYYYYY!!!
Rip Adam Rich and He will always be remembered
How does this party managed to survive this long with no cleric? :)
@Dave A. They don't need swords and daggers since they've got their magic weapons and as for other basic survival supplies, Presto pulls it all out of his hat.
Unfortunately they got a Cleric whos missing the CL.
All those long rests between episodes 😂
This reminds me the story of Jack and the Beanstalk.
@2:22 He was going to cook Uni into a stew. :O
....
Hold on....
*Boils water in a cauldron*
Oh, Uni. Wanna take a bath, Uni? :)
Did anyone else think the giant looked like Gary Gygax? And while watching this episode, I realized Presto is the only character that received a new name when they transferred into the D&D world (unless he had some really messed up parents that is).
lol venger had the monster willi on servent of evil
Torrance Hamilton I remember that too about "Servant of Evil", but it probably wasn't Willy, just simply another slime beast.
He had a little one eyed serpent as well. Badoom Tiss'
So Willy starved to death alone in that cage back in the castle?
no he was out of the cage free to fly wherever.
they holded Boby every time, that let me so upset!!
The 80's wat a great Saturday morning memory
6:20 This scene make me 😍😍😍😍
#Macrophilia
I got a name for the 3 heads: CRUSTY, DUSTY, AND NON TRUSTY
19:15
So, where did the orcs from the beginning end up?
I getting Peter cullen Ironhide voices vibes from the hairy giant.
I wish I had a mama Dragon . ;_;
So they got rid of the only giant to save the 3 golden dragons.
So is that a cloud giant? He looks hairier than the ones in the MM.
40 years old today. RiP Adam Rich- Presto
I love Eric 💘
I hate to be that guy, but dragons in DnD are born with the intelligence class of a 30 year old human and already able to read and speak. In this episode they come off as a tad, animalistic.
Earlier editions had different rules. Basic DnD dragons were different, depending on the colour and size category (small, adult, large, huge). White dragons (weakest type) didn't get above animal intelligence until they got the got to the largest size category; gold dragons however, were always at least human level, and capable of speech. This appears to be an adult size dragon, but wingless, which also sometimes happened - although I believe there was an edition were gold dragons were always wingless, and just flew using magic.
Silver or metal dragon is intelligent too.
@@VITAS874 Silver or metal.
I'll have to remember that one.
Very convenient that the tree had an internal staircase
love
Slime beast sounds like Tasmanian Devil 😂
Khi tawngchak mawl deuh lah khi
10:23 Look! it's Alfor from the last episode! Why doesn't he help Presto and Uni? He just met them in "The Lost Children!"
I don't think that's him,i believe it is another specie that resembles his.
How can you tell when you just see the back of his head?
@@210SAi great question, just like in episode "the servant of evil" in wich Eric and his friends are in the prison, and he sees Dungeon Master from his back, and he goes talk to him,it was just a criature that resembles Dungeon Master.
Rip Adam Rich, Magician.
It looks like the giant looks like WWE wrestling with a championship belt.
So that's what happened to the dinosaurs on earth ,they ended up in the realm
That giant is awesome #Macrophilia
Lol
The giant's voice is so familiar. Anyone remember what other shows/characters it's from?
I'm pretty sure he was my cab driver in NYC last time I visited.
The same voice as Venger, aka Peter Cullen. Half of the episodes you can hear the voice of DM used for other characters, same for Ranger.
All big creatures make same noise 😄
Talking about stepping things up.
Ross from friends sounds exactly like the character Eric!
Eric is voiced by Donny Most aka Ralph the Mouth from Happy Days
@@210SAi Ahh is that who it is, man that guy had voice acting chops, he could be annoying no matter who he played.
@@jameslong9921 😳🤣🤣😛
You can tell this show never took any cues from the game because the kids didn't immediately attack the Gold Dragon for XP and loot.
+darkxaur Gold dragons are good. Why kill the good ones?? But you're right: the show had little, if anything, to do with the game. They should have stuck with the original core classes/races, instead of using Unearthed Arcana material.
D&D Gold Dragons have the most amount of treasure in the game; do the math.
Think i'm a bit late to this, but if you are playing as a good character, why would you kill something that is equally good?
This is why we have the Neutral Alignment.
It's just a cartoon;apparently the creators decided that staying 100% within the technical aspects of the game wasn't as important as making an entertaining cartoon for kids.
shouldn't the giant have been shrunk down in size? Never showed him after the spell so disappointing.
So what happened to the giant?
15:57 ummm, exsuce me, WHAT?!
😂😂😂even though I love this anime, but I never did like the stupidity of Eric, presto and uni...they leave a sour taste in my mouth....😂😂😂
one of the New York Giants, I see -- or was that a New Jersey accent?
What would your class be? I'd be the first BAMF.

Oi
"Look it's a dragon!" Uh...no....that's more like a large lizard, it has no wings. O.o Also if you stop muttering nonsense words your spells might work better. LOL
I swear Eric gets on my last ass nerve. He is sooo annoying!!!
I was thinking about that. I think the Eric character gets the most lines per episode. His dialogue never stops.
Also, he always gets snuck up on by the badie and has a "Yowza!" comic event like Shaggy from Scooby-Doo.
I actually like him the best- after Uni!
I always thought Eric was the most realistic character. Almost anyone transported into that Realm would complain.
