I really like the way this turned out, but attempt at your own risk as it would be very easy to destroy your console and/or void your warranty! And yes, there are lots of ways to install LED lights, this is just the way I preferred to do it. And I did this when the console was first released, so there were no aftermarket "pop in" solutions yet.

Love it, this is exactly what I was going to do and then had no time due to home renos and console repairs.
Do you think you could find a point that provides the same power but cuts the power when you turn the console off even with the quick booting thing / standby enabled? Personally I think it would be better without a switch.
There may be a spot, but I like to stay ahead of all those circuits, that way I'm not pulling power away from something that needs it and there's likely less risk of damaging something further down the line. Plus, I don't always want the light on just because the console is on. If you're playing for a ton of hours, you don't want the additional heat.

Its possible to change the Xbox Fan for a 14mm PC fan and and 3d printed support for the 3 points fixing? i have measured and it seems to fit inside it... An Noctua or Bequiet! fan could make the console way more silent...

They should have did from the factory and had a option to have it on or off! I wanna do it but I don't wanna mess it up! Hard telling when I'd be able to find another one. I got lucky when I managed to bag one 🤣

If anyone does this remember this can Mess up your cooling a little and make your console a bit louder and hotter because the fan is designed to Exhaust hot air In a wide range by putting the led’s in the way of the fan shroud it will Block that Pattern
Certainly, if you aren't careful and block airflow exhaust, you can disrupt cooling efficiency. However, by putting the LEDs on the very outside of the fan blades, they're really not disrupting airflow at all.
Hey I recently having problems with my xbox elite controller sires 2, both rb an lb bumpers do not work also I have major stick drift on my RS an LS. Just need to know if u guys repair controllers or just consoles

With PlayStation all you have to do is buy a sticker and new plates no modding to change the color. But this is pretty cool.

U can add stickers much easier on the new xbox box design vs the odd curves on the ps5

Ps4 pro is a poorly designed console where aesthetics were prioritized over cooling performance. Ps5 once again went with the same design strategy of looks over performance.

Garbage sony controllers with 6 hour battery life per charge. What an engineering joke when xbox and nintendo pro controllers go 35 hours per charge.

I did, and so have other folks, both on UA-cam and elsewhere. Lots of people mod $50,000+ cars, which is a big risk. It's all relative. Some people like to mod their toys, some don't. Ask me how many bricked $300 Switches we get per month because somebody screwed up trying to hack it. 🙂

You can use whatever LED you'd like. However, my most recent vid shows a much easier method.
