I love that this kit involves no cutting or the use of a soldering iron and it's completely reversible. I might have to get one of these kits once my warranty runs out

@@reaksyt1787 well here in Australia we have a compulsory 3 year warranty, but in most places i believe it's 2 years repair or replacement warranty from Microsoft

result is nice. its worth the work of around 1 or 1,5 hour :) you do this once and enjoy it. just follow the videoinstruction and it should be no problem.

One thing that you’ll have to think about is if you want your Xbox to run and have the fan on you’ll also always have to have the leds on.. seems awesome at night but idk if I’d want the lights running all the time..

You dont need the heat gun at all. But it makes it just the slightest bit easier but I assure you that you dint need it

I was going to use 4-in LEDs on each of the four sides and solder it direct or just run it 5V, but then I thought about just getting a new 130mm fan with lights and replacing the fan that's in it, it's the cheapest most simple solution there is, you pull it out unplug it plug it in slide it in done.
That being said, this looks pretty cool, I just watched the basic video for it and I haven't watched all of the install yet but I'm hoping the lights are all the way on the inner blades, otherwise it would light it up just as much with the lights going around the edge of the fan.
Not sure if I would trust this tho.. the Led strip could come off and fall into the fan. And the fan connector Is pretty weak. However if you wanted to do this I’d just wait for RGB Fans to be made. It’s a 130mm fan btw

There's a great lighting stand from Venom thats only like 25 quid that uplights it, it's totally unnecessary but it bloody looks cool, all the best mate, if you've not already sorted it might be an easier way for you, all the best from Ireland to ye 🇮🇪
@@ARXInfinite yeah my mate was trying something like that and he wrecked it, sent it off for repair but they refused to do it for free because it had been opened so warranty gone, I don't know how they knew but they did, not taking the chance, things are still hard to get, I got a SS and PS5 and was only in February just gone I finally got a SX, there's a great stand by Venom that uplights it, I think the uplighting suits the monolithic design of the SX tbh, works on the SS too, PS5 I got Darkplates with led built in, was about 80 USD with shipping, great plates, all the best from Ireland to you my friend 🤝
Looks like I'm a bloody salesman for Venom on this thread, they should give me a cut but they are pretty low cost so I'd get about a fiver 😂

its really dope but is it really worth it for $40 and its just a light strip i thought it was a whole new fan idk only because the xbox sits tall so you cant see it and when you lay the xbox down you still cant see it at least where i have my xbox i wouldn't be able to see it it would be facing the wall so idk im hesitant to pay for it when i cant really show it off like i would want to
i love this kit but i have one small problem, i use the auto play option and it only does two effects, rainbow and then white. Not too worried about it just would like for it to work. But maybe it just takes longer for it to change idk.

Just be careful that middle screw in the inside can be tricky it was so hard to come out it strip lucky I had a small dill I had to make another hole on that screw to use a special screw drive with 2 spikes to remove it but after that it was a breeze to install

Hello, I bought two LED mods for my Xbox Series X, one for the base, and one for the fan. The problem is that both remotes control both mods at the same time. They are on the same frequency. Do you have a solution?

I have a question... Since warm/hot air emanates from the top fan, wouldn't that loosen up the strips over time, and may cause them to fall off and get entangled with the fan?
Nah, it's really sticky just pulled it off my console because u got the halo edition now I gotta buy a new one so definitely won't fall off.

Well, purchased this from Amazon and installed it today. It was as simple as it looks. I must say, I am utterly disappointed that the LED lights stay on even when you power off the console. You need to find a way to fix that!!!

@@dawsonpittman4776 The remote has ON/OFF but if the console and fan it draws it's power from is OFF it should be automatically OFF too... Bad design and bad programming!!!

Look for a standby 5v point on the mobo and connect the led instead of the continue 5v. Simple but more work.
Not gonna void warranty on xbox. But I did add the lights to my ps5 and replaced buttons on both dualsense. Awesome products 👌
How has the adhesive held up? The only thing holding me back from this is the led strip unsticking from side of the fan and falling in the fan itself causing damage. I went to see how this holds up long term? Thank you for the great vid!
I'm sure the adhesive would be strong enough and the fan part doesnt get warm so it shouldn't unstick I already ordered one I cant wait to install it
@@aftaahlife the fan gets Very warm… it’s pulling air into the console to cool it. That air can be as hot as 50+ Degrees C.
@@ARXInfinite if it's pulling the air in it shouldn't get that hot, if it's an exhaust fan then it may get warm
@@mattchumoore4214 it’s an exhaust fan. The console pulls air from the bottom through the heatsink and the rest of the console and out the top

My Xbox unfortunately broke because of the LED. The Power Supply of the Xbox broke. So now i need to repair my Console. But i did on my own Risk. I will deinstall the LED also but it was cool to have them.

@@ExtremeRatei know this was a Year Ago but to answer the question how this happened, i think the Control Board of the LED that you stick inside the Xbox, caused my Xbox to Overheat and this caused a Shortcircuit. But i got it repaired 👍
Cool, but I’ll wait till someone makes a new fan that’s better quality then original and has the led lights built into it. Also the lights need to shut off when you turn the Xbox off and not by finding the remote!
FYI this will not avoid your warranty as Microsoft stopped doing it so as long as you don't break something then opening the back will not avoid your warranty.
What do you mean? Cause usually the stickers covering the bolts are for that purpose. To check if you opened it or not.

Seems simple enough. My initial concern was, will these cause any air flow restrictions. After watching, no, I highly doubt it does. My next concern, after watching is, how well does the glue on the dots hold up to heat? This thing runs hot and if the glue was to melt and the strip drop into the fan, that would be disastrous.
Also, after initial setup, do I need the remote to turn it off and on, or will it power off and on with the console?
It does not go off when the console does. I was so disappointed by with this. Terrible design.

Knowing what self adisesive tape is like I would avoide this mode, those thing will come unstuck in a few weeks/months and all hell will break loose.
Cheap counterfeit tape stuck to a dusty/greasy surface then yes. But good quality adhesive on a perfectly clean surface will last for many years/decades, its used more than most realise in automotive and that takes a lot more of a beating than a fan in a games console ever will.

This is 100% safe? How much power does the LEDs uses? I’m a bit worried since the Fan header is Designed to just power the fan and no Leds.. don’t want it to blow up the fan Connector
No because the fan doesn’t use a lot of power and the leds don’t add much either it works perfectly for me
why does the LED strip even have that blue removable paper if it's not adhesive on the back? you stuck adhesive dots on it instead

I’m not sure if it’s because the strips are too close but since the Xbox series X usually doesn’t have LEDs the fan has to work harder because it’s Way more power
Could be that controller you place inside for The leds. The fan plugs into that so..
why just adhesive dots and not the entire back of the LED strip???
The dots are extra sticky, the strip does have glue on it, And it's also really sticky.

Hi, unfortunately the remote control is not working. Battery is inserted and you can see a red dot when pressing any button, but the lights are not changing…what can I do?

Same in the UK. I think its more around "why" you are opening it, rather than simply removing a sticker.
Please make one that doesn't require console to be opened.
The LEDs cant go inside the console if you dont open it lol. Ig if you want them outside it then you could just buy some battery powered LEDs and put them on it

You have to install the strip in reverse
This was my concern too. You would want the lights to go in the same direction as the fan spins.
Hey so I’m trying to get the warranty for my “rise remap kit” I don’t have any other social medias so how do I go about this because I was sent a kit, where when I finished the install, my down on the Dpad was not working and left and up would be clicked at the same time when either one was clicked?

Crap, you need standby power direkt from the psu to feed the leds. Now you have manually switch the leds on and off.

I installed the rgb inside the fan made all the connections etc. Turned on the xbox but the lights don't light up why

Cool product but no way am I paying $53 Canadian for some LED lights. You can buy light strips 5m long for $9.99 and come with a remote. Cool but a rip off.
