EVERYONE in this video has such fun personalities ! it makes me feel like im eating with them !
Those meals look good actually, tasty. A person would need to prep one day ahead of time to save time when you get in from work. But they are all simple enough dishes to cook.
Wow! I really like this guy😍. He keeps you engaged and is a real natural in front of the camera. No offense, but IMHO, I think he's waaaay too good for Tasty. He really needs his own show!
love this sorta thing. Not only is it cheap, but its super sustainable and minimizes waste!
To increase the flavour of a chicken stock without increasing the cost of the groceries he could have added the chicken to an oven to roast it and then when boiling in the pot he could’ve added any carrot skins and leftover pieces from the curry and the onion skin to that stock and simmer it away. As he strained out the bones the onion and the carrot would’ve been straightened out as well.
Now to cure my depression to give me the energy to cook

David's energy & his cooking commentary is unmatched
Him leaving the chicken wings on and not using them shook me my ancestors could never let me 😂
I came here for this. I can go back to sleep now.
I’m all about balling on a budget and these dishes look absolutely delicious and right on budget!
I worked in a kitchen at a nonprofit and this is what we did everyday for our guests! It was awesome
"yes a cup and half, it's thaksgiving"
I cracked up at that. 😅
Sometimes you have to get knocked down lower than you have ever been to stand back up taller than you ever were.
Ok
At 39:40, would have added a few pieces of crumbly, crispy cooked bacon on top of the green beans. Other than that, have seen all of these vids previously, but well worth watching again.
Thanks for reposting in a conglomerate, aggregate, shortened format.
Watching in Jamaica, W.I🏝🇯🇲. Love that you toast/burn curry prior to adding the chicken and other ingredients
Meanwhile my mom every night: “so do you want eggs, grilled cheese, or tuna”
Sad

No cuz literally
could have used the onion parts you threw away into that stock.
I was thinking the same thing 😂
I LOVE the fajita chicken skillet, it’s now a staple in our home. We’ve modified it a bit, we add black beans, corn and a red pepper as well as using 3 packets of seasoning 🤤! Yes the sour cream and such is good with it but not essential.
Hello everyone!New year is coming! Hope you end 2020 on a pleasant note and ring in 2021 with love and laughter! 💝

The corn salad is my new favourite salad dish. I would like to try it with grilled corn
Really enjoyed how you explained everything, didnt need to ask anything 🙂 looks really good
I love this chef. She’s eloquent and her personality is like a peach. Dainty and fun.
Which chef? Lol
I need to cook, will come back and complete tomorrow.
Love this episode😍 keep it up 👏🏻 👏🏻
If only Australia was that cheap with food/shopping 😂
Nice video. The curry looks delicious, but you had me at 'crispy chicken skin'😍.
Stock and broth hack: You can throw the bones/carcass, seasonings into an oven proof pot (roaster, large deep casserole, stainless or enamel stockpot, roaster, etc) add boiling water to top, place in oven, 325 for an hour or longer, 400 for 45 +mins, 225-250 for 2-4hours.Covering speeds it up but whether you cover the pot or not depends on the temp and time.
I really will try some of these...
Tasty is making me hungry at midnight now ...😂
I love a good budget recipe :)

I lovveeed the chicken piccata recipe. He used every piece of that chicken so wisely
AWESOME recipes!!😍😋
Awesome video! More of these, please?! 😁
Honestly, I'm just sorry for the person that had to do the math😂🤦🏻♀️. I mean, I wouldn't calculate how much it costs per serving, I would just sit in my bed and do nothing
I learned how to make chicken picata from a lovely old Italian woman who I used to work with. Always been a favorite.(WHERE'S THE SHERRY OR WINE???)
The curry and Mexican can be made on Sunday and left in the fridge or freezer until the day to eat it - saving time
Two many chefs. ONE AT A TIME!
The corn salad looked soooo good
Pls do more budget menu in the future 👍💕😊
“On a budget”… simmer for 4 hours😂
Its wonderful😍
wow !! this is what i really need to do
You cook like I do! Yummy! 😋 And I just make simple things like tortillas, bread, biscuits, etc...
Trying the chicken set of recipes. Looks so good.
Do they mean a literal dollar? Where do I buy a whole chicken for 50 cents ? Because the other 50 cents I have to use to pay my rent, electric and cable. Also gas.
Another plot twist: they stole it.
I want to do one of these they look so yummy 😋😊❤️🔥 your so talented ❤️

Yum
I was waiting for another food video 😂😂😂
Delicious
The last one, the Bbq, it would have cost me over $45 but still fairly cheap
That looks good
The others were cool but we can agree that David is the best
If only a whole chicken was that cheap in my country 🥺
Wow

Don't show what is made at first
Edit Omg 2 likes my total was 1

I did this challenge in college. a box of ramen and 1 18 pack of eggs. cost me about $8

Jell-O? KATIE, NO!!! ( ; ) Family favorite dessert/ ingredient, fond memories. Plus, it still tastes good.) Very pretty coulis presentation. (Fvhere's yowut

All this food looks delicious. I'm just wondering where they bought these ingredients cus some of those prices are not real at all 😂
hiiii tasty!!!
Nice
None of these dishes are affordable when you don’t already have a fully stocked pantry
Mannn I saw a lot of Pantry Freebies . Lol
I’m actually doing a 14$ for one week ( Breakfast, lunch and dinner ) true to price budget video in the next coming week come on by and tune in 🤙🏿💪🏿
In asia, its called "cooking". thanks to the affordability.
Not really in my Asia tho.... Cheaper to dine out in my city
@@Natenie which city?
I WANT TO EATTTT
its the way he didnt take the flats off
They used some tricks.
*$20 for 5 days is actually plenty of money for one person on a budget. Just not like they show.
*real olive oil is expensive and not part of the budget. (I'm counting it as $3, but REAL olive oil is usually $10 or more)
*Butter is is usually $2 or more and not part of the budget.
*Curry on averaged is $3-4. It isn't visible on that receipt and likely more expensive than claimed.
*Chicken isn't visible on that receipt and is likely 1.5-2X the listed price.
*Spinach isn't visible on that receipt and likely 2-4X the price listed.
I'm sure I'm missing some ingredients, but these alone make him about $12-15 over budget. Yes, incorporating the $1.25 under budget the receipt shows. 🙄
I think they use a 'weighted average' for the budget. Like you, i noticed that cost of the food is not accurate.
Lol

The wings!!?
It sure was sad to see him make stock with just chicken when he could have used the peels and scraps from the onion and sweet potato. A tiny bit of ginger would have been nice as well. The broth would have had a more rounded flavor and some nice body. Not to mention, more nutrients.
How is pepper and salt seasoning 😭
