Yes those scrappy projects are so much fun. Happy knitting x
🤣🤪last things first - socks 😂 ‘sockgate’, sockmaggedon’, a dissertation on socks. I’ve never heard so much thought put into socks. Very funny, so uplifting and so tongue in cheek. You always make me smile. Love the progress on all the things. I can’t have too many things on the go either. Foxy is big! Can’t wait to see her finished. As always thoroughly enjoyed a peek into your knitting life. The new journal cover is purrfect 😂😻. Pole results - good to know we’re ‘normal’ 🤣. Til next week 🤗🤩
Thank you, so happy you enjoyed it 😁
Shawl is beautiful
Thank you, it's a lot of knitting but I'm enjoying the experience. Have a lovely week x
outstanding
Thanks for watching x
Such fun as always.
Thank you so much, have a lovely week x
Outfoxed mittens WOW WOW WOW I am so happy Charlotte Foxy is taking shape LOVE HER So excited THANK YOU TINA
I'm a mixture of excited and nervous how she will turn out . Hopefully she will be super cute 😁🦊
HiTina, great video 🧶💕
Thanks for watching, have a great week x
Love foxy! Interesting poll on sock washing and you have a great range of socks. I don't like to have a lot of projects on the go at once either. Like you, I don't like to have to work out where I am, how it goes (and what hook size I was using!). Take care.
Thank you! 😊
Another lovely video. Love the sweater you're wearing. Fun way to organise your socks. Mine go in rows - 2 at the moment - from front to back in a drawer. I work my way from front to back in one row then the same for the other. Washing gets done when I decide I have enough ready to be done, plus my daughter's socks too. We live together and I knit all her socks as well as my own. I guess we've got close to 30 pairs each. I'm currently making some for charity as we don't need any more.
Lucky daughter to have you knit all her socks 😁
Hi Tina, what a lovely range of socks you have!! I like the idea of rotating them, you are super organised.
Have to say the Stephen West shawl looks amazing, can’t wait to see it when it’s finished.
Foxy chops is coming along nicely!!! Just an idea for the eyes, you could could sew a few tight stitches from front to back to get the indentation. I’ve made lots of amigurumi crochet toys and it works well on them. Also you can get the toy eyes with a loop on the back, they come in different colours as well so that might work x
Thank you for the great tips , I'll look into those options 😃
Fab video as always 😊
I am afraid you lost me on the sock rotation but so long as you know what your doing 😂😂
Ha ha each to our own 😘😁
I love all your knitting and crocheting. I love the colors you put together.
Thank you, that's very kind of you. Have a lovely week x
Hi Tina. Love yr box of socks. They look fantastic. Foxy is growing fast. Love the shawl. I don't know how u tackle intarsia. I tried once years ago and gave up. It gave me headache 🤣 anyway love yr channel. Take care. Xx
It's all about ball control . I have each ball in a different place never together because they start to fight 😁
Your socks are looking lovely. I started knitting socks several years ago with your 9 inch vanilla tutorial, it was perfect! You made it so simple.
Thank you so much, I'm so happy the videos helped. Happy knitting x
I watched the sock tutorials ages ago and only just this year got brave enough to give it a go. I made Tina’s slippers 😊
Great update video love your socks Have you tried Ellie's (Crafthouse Magic) free heart socks they have little hearts going up the side they are so cute and easy to knit I have done this pattern a few times. Happy Knitting Patty
I'll have a look thanks . They could be my February Valentines socks 😁
Yay for YofS (Year of Sox)… me too! 9” circs, DPs on flap & toes. Looking for better sock storage as well. Like your Rotation Style, makes sense! If ONLY I could/would/should have 3 to 4 WIPs… ahem… tried that, ooops! Agree tho, seems like w many projects, progress on any/all is minimal. I don’t stress about it, must be the rebel in me…Hah! Thanks for your ideas, poll results - I’m average as well 😎
Lots of WIPs are great if you are a process knitter , but I'm a product knitter as well so I want the item finished so I can wear it . Too impatient that's my problem 😁 Happy knitting x
Hi Tina. It's always fun seeing your projects. LOL! I wish I had that many socks to rotate.😊 I learned how to knit socks by watching your tutorials. You are a wonderful instructor! I like the 9 inch circulars. I've been trying the Magic Loop method but find I like the small circulars better. Thanks to your tutorials I'm getting ready to attempt my first sweater--the Flax by Tin Can Knits.
Good luck with the Flax it's a great pattern that I return to again and again. Happy knitting x
Your socks are gorgeous Tina So pretty Snow drops are lovely
Thank you, I love the leaves. The design is very pretty. Have a lovely week x
Hi Tina so nice to see foxy coming along! Can't wait to see her in clothes! The shawl is looking lovely! Happy knitting Kaye x
Yes I can't wait to knit the clothes 😁 Thanks for watching x
Love your lists. The shawl colors are beautiful. I'm wondering where I can buy those yarns. knit on!
I mainly buy from Woolwarehouse because of ease . Unfortunately I haven't got a convenient yarn shop locally 😕 Have a lovely week 😃
Hi Tina Everything you showed are lovely especially that beautiful shawl. The results from the polls were very interesting. I do a similar knitting notebook as you every year always good to look back on etc. I hope you have fun sewing up Foxy and stuffing her. I would put glass eyes on if I was doing her. Pleased you are very happy with your crochet blanket too. Have a great week and see you hopefully next Sunday.
Take care
Amanda from Lincolnshire xx😀🧶🪡
Thank you, yes hopefully I will have a Foxy co host next Sunday 🦊😁
When you have your Woodland Walk looking for snowdrops socks on your hand I see fingerless mittens too A versatile design🙂
Yes so did I 😁
Hi Tina, another enjoyable and fun video.
The fox is coming along nicely can't wait to see it finished 🦊
the legs are very long,
I guess when you fill them they will look different,
The knitting survey was great and so many people commented, lovely to see you as always Sarah🌷🌷
Hopefully I won't give foxy knobbly knees 🤣 Have a lovely week x
Delightful! Enjoyed your polls!
Glad you enjoyed it , thanks for watching x
Hi Tina. The Poll results were very interesting. Thank you for sharing this info, and for talking about journaling. I do that too. Also, I really enjoyed your discussion on socks. I still plan to knit a pair of socks a month this year.
Good luck with your sock knitting. I'm falling behind already 😁
I knitted the Rico football yarn in red white and blue for my husbands Christmas.
Glasgow rangers is his team -good yarn comparable to wys I would say
Thanks that's good to know. I'm sure your husband loved his socks . Take care x
Wow, so much amazing content Tina! . Loving you wips, all beautiful 😍. The Poll was interesting and love the way you re organising your socks 🤣 made me laugh. The new sock yarn, Rico, looks like a great idea, my son wants me to make some West Ham coloured socks!! I'll check out. Thanks so much xxx 😘
Thanks for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Enjoy the rest of your day x
Foxy is looking fab 😊 can’t wait to see him finished. I am now wearing socks more often I never even considered doing it! Your blanket is perfect for Danny’s Mal - you have me wanting to cast one on now it looks gorgeous! Xx
Thank you , yours would be straighter than mine , it's a bit wobbly. I like to think it adds to its charm 🤣😘
I “kitted up” for the woodland socks, haven’t started them yet but super excited for them 💚🌱❄️
They are a lovely knit, happy knitting x
😀💕xx thanks Tina. Great podcast. Really interesting. I always use 9’ circs. now for socks and sleeves. I find them much easier but haven’t come across many converts except you! Lots of love.
I try and convert as many people as possible 😁 my knitting local friends both use them . I wouldn't teach them any other way 🤣
Great update Tina! It was nice to see your progress on all the projects. Am totally going to organize my socks seasonally now! I think embroidered snowdrops would be sweet, but may become loose or snaggy after a few washes. I guess you would really have to just watch your tension. I look forward to seeing what you decide!
Thanks Jenn , good point . I'll knit them first and then decide I think . Have a lovely week. I hope it's not too cold there x
Hey, Tina. As always, I enjoyed your video and the updates on your WIP's. I made slippers for the family for Christmas to try to use up some leftovers. I still have gobs left.
Love your socks! Your plan for socks sounds complicated, but I am sure you have it all figured out.
Oh no I will try and keep it simple . I like simple 😁 Have a lovely week x
your purchases are fantastic! I found that Rico yarn in the USA just by chance, Rico brand was trying to get into the business here in the states (without success I'm afraid). I bought a Christmas version, pretty similar to west Yorkshire s. The plum color yarn is spectacular. The polls were super fun and informative, I'm just in the middle too😄. When I made my duck and rabbit from the animal friends book I left the eyes till the end. If you use buttons you can reposition them and achieve the highest cuteness factor😍
That's a very good idea leaving the eyes to the end . I want her to look cute 🦊😁
I followed your sock making video a while ago as I was new to making them and found it a perfect tutorial. I love how foxy is coming along and I bet you can’t wait to make her clothes
You are right . I'm not letting myself knit clothes before she's finished because I don't think I would be able to stop 😁 I'm so happy the videos helped you . Happy knitting x
I never do Kitchener stitch without hearing Tina’s voice in my head. 😅
Tina I found you just a couple of weeks ago and I’m loving your videos. I was a knitter for years then got into crochet and made so many baby blankets, it sort of took over my life but I have fallen out with my hook and have started knitting agin and have discovered I love knitting on circulars and I’ve always fancied giving socks a go so I’m following you vanilla sock tutorial and love it, I’ve turned the heal and I’m loving it so much. I’m also knitting a jumper as my mother was a great knitter and I have her old patterns and I’ve knit a few over the years. I have crocheted top down jumpers and now I’m eager to knit top down garments. You are such an inspiration so thank you so much 😊😊😊I love crafting so much and I love cross stitching too so like you I try to not have lots on the go 😂😂
This is such a lovely channel! Thankyou for your enthusiasm and encouragement Tina. I organise my socks the same way as you but don’t rotate them - so far! Definitely going to put some of that glitter in my next pair of Christmas socks. What about Swiss darning your snowdrops?
Thanks for that idea, I will look into swiss darning. Have a lovely week x
My Charlotte the fox is at the same stage as yours, Tina. This week I will try to get her together. Time is ticking on and I am ready for other projects. Lol
Good luck with your making up . Let me know if you have any tips . I have a feeling I'm going to need them x
Hi Tina I haven't tried Drops sock yarn let us know how it feels to wear and wash like the idea of the polls nice to know what other people do. Love your video 😊
Thank you , I found the polls very interesting. Take care x
Hi Tina I haven't knit Drops sock yarn let us k now what it wash like love your video
I have other socks in it and it washes lovely. Some people say it stretches a little but I haven't noticed. Thanks for watching x
Hi Tina. Loved podcast! All of your knitting is gorgeous . ❤Totally with you on not knitting foxy head first. I found Holly hedgehog face tricky & wished I’d left it till last. Made couple of mistakes but think i mite be able to make good by maybe adding whiskers 😂😂. She’s 21” long using called for yarn. So yeah it was a bit of a shocker. 😂I’ve embroidered mouth & definitely decided on buttons for eyes. Took me whole afternoon to stuff head & body so put her away for the sake of my sanity before finishing 😂. Definitely a project to do in small portions at a time. Though I could sit & knit their clothes all day long. 😍I started simple knitting note book in January & it’s really helped me feel organised & keep track of my spending 🙈. Thanks so much for sharing all of your projects & ideas Tina, your make everything seem achievable. Have a good week ❤❤
Thanks for the advice on taking time to finish foxy . I'm very impatient so I would try and finish it all in an afternoon. If only whiskers could make all faces better . Mother nature seems to think so ,she keeps trying to give me them as I get older 😮🤣 x
@@Simplyinstitches 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Don't keep a journal probably would be a good idea though since I have as a goal this year to knit up the very old yarn (10 plus years) I have. I have managed to do up 3 sweaters so far and I am very happy with them, unfortunately I bought more than needed for my current sweater choices so now will have yarn for vests or socks or??? they will be fast projects though, (I hope)! I am currently on sleeves of a sweater with old elann alpaca silk and some brushed drops alpaca top down espace tricot free pattern. we're all having fun so that's a good thing! Foxy is looking like she needs something to stuff her up! very sweet!
I also prefer to keep wips limited. Feels like it takes too long to finish so back to concentrating on one at a time. Thanks for sharing your very normal knitting journey with us all!
Thank you so much for watching. It sounds like you have some lovely yarn to knit through . Enjoy the process, happy knitting x
I do always like your sock choices, ever since knitting my first pair following your Hermione’s sock videos! What is it about socks? I personally love knitting and wearing them too, but they are pretty decisive for knitters aren’t they.
Personally the addiction comes from the yarn to start, then they are quick and fun to knit and then years of pleasure in the wearing. I love every stage 😁 . Take care and happy sock knitting x
I like your journal idea 💡! Are all socks knit with 9” circular needles? or can you use thicker yarn, and use longer and bigger needles ?
Crazy sock lady had a tutorial for Dk weight socks 😀
Hi Tina..... I have the borrow box app and I am a member but I can't find the magazine section ? Any advice ? Thanks 👍 xx
Unfortunately the apps are different for different library locations. We have only recently got the magazines in Northamptonshire . I know Nottingham had it years ago . When it's available to you it will be a very visible option the same as choosing ebooks or audiobooks . Hopefully you will get it soon 😕
I think Foxy Chops needs a boyfriend more than Tina needs fox mittens 🙂
I think 1 fox is enough 😁🦊 but if you want to knit her one , I'm happy to give him a home 🤣 . Have a lovely week x
