Thank to for taking the time to watch our little show!
Till next week
Tracie and Jodi
xx
Jodi, I'm so happy you love ❤️ your sweater. It looks fantastic on you. There was 2 inches added to the length. Corrie Worsted is beautiful yarn.
You made my day. Thanks 😊
It’s gorgeous! ❤
Thanks for the bluebird tip. Headed back to Banff to ski the first week in April.
Elizabeth Zimmermann's Percentage System for sweaters. Will give you the perfect fit at any gauge for any yarn and any sweater style. Perfection!!!
Tracie-love the colors in your sweater. You look very pretty in bright colors. Jodi looks good in the colors used in her sweater too.
Thanks for featuring my little hexagon knitting kits! I'll have my shops reopen as soon as I can, currently working through inventory and tax time 🤗 they are $28 each
Happiest of New Years! I immediately paused and made nachos to enjoy while I watched. Love your projects and your enthusiasm. See you again soon!
Your 2 yokes looked beautiful together! I love your idea of a sweater video, perhaps your 5 most worn and why you wear them most, how the fabric is holding up etc. would be great to see things once they’ve had some love! Thank you for another fantastic video xx
Really happy to hear about Mini Tipi-inspiring and beautiful. Appreciate that you shared them on the podcast. ❤
Those Cozy skeins are definitely Colorado colors!!! That is where I live!
spending time with you warms my heart, inspires me, and rekindles my knitting mojo
Just when I decide that you are the most wonderful, positive and endearing humans, even in a sea of nice Canadians, you read that card/letter. I welled up with tears…so kind, nice, engaging are you? I can’t afford to to watch with my purse in the house, but will send it to work with my husband, just so I can.💗💗💗💗
That pink, black and yellow hat looks like a city skyline. That’s so cool.❤🎉
You girls are so easy to listen to and I love how you keep things so real. Your happy chatting always makes my day - I love your knitting too - thank you for everything you do for our wonderful community guys 💕
I’m from Australia.
Wow! I went looking for some new knitting podcasts for the new year, and enjoyed every moment of this! You two are so happy and adorable, and I’m looking forward to more, and to going backward and watching all your past videos! Thank you!
Don’t toss that printer just yet! I think your printer settings are set to DRAFT mode- which uses less ink. Go to your control panel and find the printer settings.
The ChiaoGoo interchangeable 2in blue Twist x-flex triple set make flexible dpn makers with any chiaogoo tips, any length- you only need 1 and use your tips you already have.
The sweater size talk, helped me so much. Thanks for all you do
I love my Sentro. I have both the 40 and 48 needle. I also have the Addi 22 which I use to make gnomes.
Jody your second hat looks like a cityscape during fireworks - beautiful!
I love the reddish pink and it looks great on you.
I am 68, but was peri-menopausal forever!!!!! I did go on low estrogen as well as progesterone. My night/morning sweats were horrid and cyclic. I fee for you.
Saw Jodi's city scape hat (aka Honeydust Hat) and immediately went and bought the pattern. Love it. My mouth dropped when I saw it.
I’m watching you guys again at midnight and just realized that my cheeks were sore from smiling the whole time! You guys are the freakin best! ❤😂❤
Spincycle yarns is in Bellingham, Washington, where I live and it is absolutely worth coming to Bellingham they’re shop is amazing
It’s my LYS, too! Aren’t we lucky?!
OMG! I love you, two. It's like sitting with a friend and talking yarn, and patterns, and Instagram (and family and life!) I will fully blame you for introducing me to Hue Loco. I fell in love with the mini you showed on the vlog and went to their shop - new dyer for me. Couldn't access the Colorado collection - yet. So I purchased two other collections and then came back after launch for the Colorado minis. Yikes! And I was NOT buying yarn this year! Oh, well. Thanks, and looking forward to our next visit. Marcy in Seattle.
Wool Needles Hands on You Tube (Fiber for the People Yarn dyer) did an episode a few days ago where she reviewed the Sentro knitting machine. Very informative with a lot of samples. Really worth watching
That Honey Drip hat looks like a city scape at sunset, Jodi! Beautiful! Thank you for a great episode. 😊
58:07 I thought the same exact thing! it looks totally different from the original pattern, I would choose to make it only because of Jodi's color choice.
I’m knitting my first sweater in a class. We are making the Wave of Change pullover. Very easy with great instructions.
Oh my gosh those are my Mittens! Thanks for the shout out! 🤩
You two look lovely today!
Tuesday, and I finally got to watch! Love you girls spending time visiting me 💛. So many patterns, yarns, gnomes, bags, notions, and ideas to drool over, and wish for, and realize what you show in one episode would keep me broke and knitting for weeks, maybe months 😂. Love the Hue Loco Cozy…I could purchase every single group… I already fell down the star signs rabbit hole 🤦🏼♀️. I wish you would do a video, tutorial, class on gauge and size, and and knitting a sweater that actually fits….definitely top down, raglan, easy; Then one with color work like the beautiful sweaters you both were wearing or the one Jody is knitting right now. I listen to your explanations on your gauge being different and how you adjust….but can’t figure it out 🙄…. Great show tonight, took my mind away from chaos and being in the pit of my mind for awhile. Thank you 💛
I made an Autumn League Pullover in mochi!!! Dreamy!!! Favorite sweater!!
I want to get on your knitting gift giving list, Jodi!
I love the hat that Jodi knit, the crown detail is amazing ❤
Thank you! Great podcast, it was so nice to see you again 😘
Beautiful sweaters - happy 2023! Can you talk about pieced patterns, like Julie Hoover contemporary patterns? Do you ever make them? Thanks!
My daughter brought me a scarf from New Zealand made with possum yarn- it’s lightweight but very warm
Thank you for the glove thoughts! I agree wholeheartedly regarding magic loop, flexi flips and DPNs. Gloves are on my list for 2023!
Yes they are way worse at night....When they first started i kept a journal beside my bed and since it woke me up anyways, I wrote down what time it struck me and no word of a lie, they have their own regular interval, every 2 hours all night long!! and yes I succumbed to HRT and all the research I've done, I'm happy I did it!
Loved this! I was entering my Sophie shawls into ravelry as you started talking about it! I did the same as you and used a single skein of sock yarn held with mohair for one, and sport held with mohair for the other and this is my new comfort knit!
I have to get some of that yarn because Purl the Possum is our unofficial shop mascot 🤣🎉
I’d love to see the sweater podcast. 😀
Thank you for another entertaining installment!
I so agree about the Flexi Flips -- head and shoulders easier for me than DPN's. Huge game-changer!! Thanks for the great video!!!
This episode is jam packed with amazing ideas for my wish knitting, plus I laughed HARD along the way! Thank you for a terrific session with you girls 👏👏💞
Aran is worsted, worsted is Aran… from what the yarn rep at wool2dye4 said. So that’s why it is knitting up like that. I think it is the difference in fiber.
Freaking hot flashes... Don't get me started!! 😂
What a joyous few hours! Love you ladies so much, I’ve proper belly laughed at the ‘f’ bomb and ball sack at the end! Happy New Year! 🎉🎉❤❤
Dang you guys! I find myself pausing the podcast to visit sites you talk about!! I've either subbed to sites and/or bought stuff you suggested. How do you get so many places and ideas? Thanks for letting us know!
Ashley Lillis Winter Bluff Raglan sweater in worsted weight. I'm a beginner knitter and this pattern is free and comes with video instructions so would be great for a knit along. Looking forward to your next vlog. Thank you💕
Watching after live, happy new year!
Happy new year !
Alice Starmore's Book of Color Knitting Charts is a great resource for those of us who collect knitting stitch collections etc.
OMG-yeeees about Spincycle going a looooong way! I got 3 hats with 1 skein as coordinating color for Balancing Act beanie! Thank you for doing what you do!
Happy New Year! The EUN sweater belongs in my wardrobe. Thanks for sharing. Tracie, your gnomes are unbelievably gorgeous! Can not wait to cast on the 'favorite flannel' socks from Hue Loco 🤗
You two rock ! And I love the f and other bombs. OK, the knitting too, again, too many new ideas popped up. So planning and watching podcasts like yours is just impossible!
Don’t encourage potty mouth, it’s not funny
OMG… “You don’t like fuzzy yarn?… Who hurt you?” I’m DYING!!! 😂
Maxim Cyr's Whispers Sweater is a WINNER if you are looking for a top-down men's crew neck sweater... Love the fit!
I dont like soggy popcorn...or diarrhea. Thanks for that chuckle!
Loving the matching alpen glows ladies 😍😍😍😍 I have totally been influenced by you and that GORGEOUS jumper from the other week. I’m knitting my first jumper and its the Turtledove 2. But I have found some epic yarn from hobbii, tweed delight IVORY NEON!!! It’s cream with NEON tweedy bits. It’s epic and I am totally in love! Resisting the urge to add sparkles as well, but can you imagine 😮😮😮
I've got a Sophie Scarf on my needles right now!! I think the shawl is next!!
😁
Sound is great!😊
I’ll be interested to hear more about that cute knitting machine.
I love Tori styles. I am much older, but small so love seeing her designs on a small body. Many patterns are too big and I am not comfortable adjusting yarn and needles to better fit me.
Happy New Year ❤️
You can purchase an Aidiler for the sentro and the Addi. It's an electric winder add on.
Jodi, in reference to the beautiful wrap you got from the ladies in Quebec, Fleece and Harmony (from PEI) are doing short videos from The Campaign For wool. In their episode 112 the video they show is about the West Coast Salish weaving. Those designs are very similar to your wrap. Just thought you might like to see the video 🙂
Love your Sophie shawl! I’ve knit three 😆
You two ladies are awesome!! So wish I could catch you live! But I gotta work for the yarn... LOL
You can buy an attachment like a drill also for the sentro
Love visiting with you both. News year resolution was to knit my first sweater. I have chosen the Turtle Dove. Thanks for the suggestions on first sweaters. Also, going to bank in March for a week long ski trip. Do you have restaurant suggestions? And any other much loved stores?
The Sentro machine is good for using up stash in hats, but keep in mind that all that cranking is hard on the shoulder and arm. I had to give mine away because I developed pain in the shoulders and had muscle twitches in the arm after using it for a couple of hours.
Of all the creators I watch no matter what I’m watching on your videos are always the quietest/I have to turn the volume up. But I wear headphones when I’m not on the tv so it’s fine
Only the Addi machine lets you use a power drill, so you don’t have to crank.
My mom has that printer and I have to clean the heads 3 times for something for print. On the good news it looked like it was only using black ink for the greyscale so that's cool.
With the Addi you can get a tool for $10.00 to be able to put the crank on to a drill. So no cranking.
I would LOVE a sweater video. I am wondering what kind of sweater construction is most flattering on women with larger chest.
What about the new Saturday shrug from CadyJax for those worsted/Aran fluffy yarns you got from stash?
Hello from England UK 8.30pm
Haha I looovee the crappy nachos! Only place better than a movie theater for them is a gas station! Ha!
Beautiful hats. I’ve tried to purchase the Sophie scarf and shawl but I can’t get the payment to go through😩. I love your Sophie scarf. Happy New Year.
If you give me your email I can buy it and send it to you.
For the Sophia shawl/scarf, did you use one strand of the fingering? This is the shawl or scarf pattern please? I would love to make this!
We knit Felix sweaters out of Mochi
No idea why people comment on the sound - always great 👍🏻
I find hot flushes always come when I go to bed and 4 and am Also if I have coffee and a sweet will always bring on a hot flush
. What a pain
What coffee do you get from Starbucks? I’m iced like Jody!
Tracie & Jodi-You might want to check out Tayler's UA-cam video from Wool Needles Hands. She did a review of the Sentro Knitting Machine just last week (12/29/22). Thanks for sharing
I have to make the honey drip hat. I can’t figure out what color you used for the brim?
23 WIPs…most are relatively new WIPs and maybe 2 that are quite a bit older
Hi from Naples
I can't find the Shelby book club that you were talking about :(
addi flips are way easier on my hands than dpns,
Mayo’s friend was from Oklahoma City 😢
very hard to hear you
Agree! Always have to turn my volume to max when you are on. Possible to boost your output volume??
Ladies, I’m unable to locate Tracie hat she made by Andrea Mowry. TheAlpine Glow . It wasn’t listed in the podcast show notes or on Raverly.
Can you plz give a girl a hand!
Thanks
Sabrina
