@juliej5917 I think they were referring to the 2nd dress. The Ian Stuart gown that was just under £3000. This version does have a tendency to pull dresses that are over budget. They honestly shouldn't have done that but it's also for tv..so..yeah.
Terrible choice of the consultant to show her the second dress double her price and did not have any of her requirements. What about if the bride would have loved it? Shame on this consultant.
I hate it when David Emmanuel' consultants consistently go over the bride's budget just like he does. I thumbs down every time any time they do this on the show.
I loved it too! I was so surprised they all laughed at it - it was truly such a classy, timeless dress that would’ve looked amazing on her with some tailoring.
Bad news, bride: when you look back in twenty years, your dress will not look “timeless.” Your dress will look DATED, just like your Nan’s and Mum’s do to you now. Your daughter, if you have one, will writhe at the idea of wearing your dress. That’s life. In thirty or forty years, it MIGHT be “vintage.” And complaints about the puffy sleeves are hilarious in David Emmanuel’s bridal salon. The puffy sleeves are pure Princess Di.
I asked my daughter and my granddaughter to put on my wedding dress and then I took it back because it was mine and not theirs by the way it was the 60s dress mini skirt an angel wings pure Brocade no clam my style is very happy with it
IF someone chooses or has to wear an already worn gown, at least update it, redo it, SOMETHING! Although my sister older than me DID buy a designer cotoure gown ( she was older than the rest of us when her husband to be came home from overseas) It was a column gown with a long train and it was worn by a sister-in-lar a few years later and our niece a NUMBER of years later, and they ALL looked gorgeous in it..really. Just buy your own updated style of veil and headpiece and shoes, hairstyle, makeup, whatever works for you. that you can afford.
ALMOST DOUBLE is NOT "a little over budget."
Was coming to say this....They do it all the time on this version of the show and it's just wrong and infuriating!
When you give a budget for the dress don’t open the door to a bit higher because they’re there to sell. The higher the better.
Terrible!
Did we watch the SAME video? Her budget was 1500 pounds, and the dress she purchased was 1036. pounds. I believe she was 464. pounds UNDER BUDGET. 🎉

Wow bride's mom is so beautiful and her skin..
That pink dress can be made into something wonderful!
Lovely bride, lovely family.
Twice the budget isn't "a little over budget"!

Got almost never goes over budget. That’s why I prefer syttd England

Qué novia tan dulce y simpática!! Si familia también adorable ❤❤❤❤
Muchas felicidades a todos!!!
If the consultant pulls an over budget dress, they should pay the difference
Why do you guys always go over their budget??

Nan's dress is my favorite, it was so lovely 🌹
The top was quite frumpy
@@MsJubjubbird I'm an old movie lover & it reminded me of a young Liz Taylor. It would look more tailored after it was fitted to her. Love pink gowns.

I did too. Just needed alterations. As would any dress
@@lohorst7948yes classic.
I loved Nan’s dress. Just needed alterations.
David is so pretentious.
True but he has GORGEOUS hair...I'll give him that 😂
@@tonib.3016 Once in awhile he REALLY does handle a sticky situation really well.( At least with what is shown on the ghow)

The classic first dress was amazing
She’s petite and would look fab in a 3/4 gown…they were trendy in the 1950s and look youthful.

The bustle thing on the back of the first dress is awful
So... She'll understand when her daughter thinks HER dress is dated... Not the timeless beauty she thought it was!
I’m seriously not the only one that thinks she played the girl who Priscilla cheat off the test in the movie Priscilla
#2 was gorgeous on her, my favorite

i dont like this one. they never pay any attention to price.
idk why that dress is many brides favorite.i realy dont see the appeal
Sleeveless, simple, not too flared skirt- that’s what will seem dated in twenty years!
I absolutely hate the new wedding dresses, not classy they look like night gowns. Come on designers you can do better!
