This is a video I've been wanting to make for about a year actually but I'm so glad I waited because there have been a lot of new NISCs (no-item shortcuts) found since then.
This video includes every shortcut in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (at the time of recording) that is possible to do at any time without the use of a mushroom for a speed boost. Some are pretty impossible to do and I would definitely not recommend going for ones like the Sweet Sweet Canyon one online lol.
As a final note, this will probably be the last video I ever upload to UA-cam, at least until Mario Kart Tour or maybe Smash Ultimate or something, so thanks for watching and I'll see you guys later :)

@@venn_diagramm I wouldn’t risk it unless you know you got the right kart combo and right timing with no other interruptions so situational but great for time trials

...and then there’s Baby Park...
there is actually a shortcut, you mini turbo into the grass and hop and you skip the off-road and cut off a little bit, not big at all tho.

For the shy guy falls cut, i go on the bottom and build an smt, hitting the wall in the prosses then releasing the smt into the grass for the cut, its much slower but it's ALOT easier to preform sense the set-up is much more lenient, it also avoids traps at the cut (something that id assume a top player would want to do as they take the cut to slow down the other people trying to do the cut).
So pretty much all the shortcuts i assumed you needed a mushroom for you can take without a mushroom. You make it look too easy!
for those who don't understand why he chose donkey Kong its because DK not only stands for donkey kong but for drift king as well

I remember playing mk8 during wii u era and now when i see all thoses mk8dx vids i feel like i wouldn't stand a chance.
These only work with heavyweights with the kid's bike or the ladybug kart, and the roller wheels. It is because this combinaison has a very high amount of offroad, a hidden stat in mario kart 8
That explains why by Dry Bowser B dasher with Metal tires isn’t doing the trick.

*MOST OF THESE ARE NOT FOR AVERAGE PLAYERS!*
These shortcuts are possible shortcuts, not the “you can do this easily” shortcuts.
Some of these take a ton of practice to even get once, let alone consistantly. You shouldn’t watch this and assume you will be able to do these shortcuts just because they were achieved in the video.
A lot of these aren’t viable for online and are only even feasible in Time Trials with a lot of patience and attempts.
“Why can he drive through grass without it slowing him down?” He’s using bunny hops and turbos to be able to get through grassy sections with the least resistance.
“How can he bunny hop so high?” He does this by jumping/releasing his turbo at exact times.
“Can these be done with any character/kart combo?” Somewhat. You should have a decent understanding of the kart combos and character classes before attempting most of these.
He bunny hops high from releasing neutral drift generally, not from releasing at exact times
They're all easy, so anyone can do them
