You should have Done all the Battle mode Tracks i know one of the 8 IS possible and i honestly think Most of them are possible so here IS a free Video idea lmao
When I first saw the title I thought you were going to try infinitely drifting around the ENTIRETY of every track and was thinking “What?!💀🗿”. This on the other hand is still very cool and creative, but also makes way more sense. Lol nice video!👍
Tracks I found were possible after all: Shy Fuy Falls Grumble Volcano Super Bell Subway Shroom Ridge Mario‘s Raceway 3 The infinite drift on shy guy falls is possible where you tried it. I picked lemmy, scooter and small wheels. Start by driving up the waterfall and drifting along the wodden bridge edge and top of the waterfall, then go to the right edge as far as possible (the waterfall is wider near the top), and bank left HARD. You have enough speed for two small breaks to make the turn back up the waterfall, then bank right to gain height and repeat. Grumble Volcano is fairly simple. Same char combo as previously, and then just drift circles in the starting area. It’s wide enough to work if you break in short bursts around 9 times per loop. Super Bell Subway, once again, same combo. At the first right curve in the subway tunnel, drift circles at the mouth of the passage leading overhead to the right, across the tracks and back to the mouth. Only works with no trains present at that time, so not technically infinite, but you can get 3 loops in easily if you break occasionally. Shroom Ridge, same combo, fairly straightforward. Second curve of the track, the hard right, there’s a striped section of road to the left that almost doubles the width of the track. Drift circles here, you don’t even need to break, or at least I didn’t. Mario‘s Raceway 3, same combo. On the east side of the track there‘s a steep left curve. Drift at the very edge of it, then, once at the highest point of the curve, bank inwards and keep holding inwards. Break occasionally, similar to grumble volcano, and you‘ll barely make it.
is the drift on shy guy falls truly infinite or just enough to satisfy the three laps rule? Meaning, can you regain all the height or do you go slightly down every lap until you eventually fall of the waterfall?
@@NummyGD The video already greatly narrowed down the tracks with no (known) infinite drifts, so I had way less work to do than Jopes. Thanks anyway though!
It’s possible on Super Bell Subway with very precise brake drifting. It can be done right at the beginning of the underground section (it might also be possible near the end but I don’t want to ruin my thumb from brake drifting).
Mario Circuit 3 is possible - with a high handling combo, 200cc, and a _lot_ of brake-drifting, you can just barely loop around on the sharp U-turn roughly halfway around the track. The main reason for 200cc was so that you had a little more leeway with hitting the little patch of off-road on the inside of that turn. (If anyone’s curious about the combo, I used Lakitu/Mr. Scooty/Off-Road Tires.) Edit: Dragon Driftway is also possible. You can just _barely_ loop around on the area just before the end of the lap. It’s really tight though - took me around an hour and a half to get the 3 loops. (The Switch capture function chose specifically then to bug out, but I am _not_ doing that sh*t again.)
I tried to do this for my self (on the WII U version without DLC) and you can actually do it in Grumble Volcano: Before the split paths right near the end there is an area large enough to brake drift in, I even managed to do it with the fire spirits in my way, if there is any way I can show you footage
Do you have the youtube app on your phone? Theres an option to upload shorts (big plus sign on the bottom), you could just record your TV. Shorts can be 60 seconds long which should be enough time to record something in Mario Kart.
Suggestion: Even if there is nothing to talk about for a certain course, at least mention it with half a second of gameplay footage so we know where to do it if we want to do it.
@@Uncle_Big_D_Willy You haven't even given the Wii U a chance. It's a genuinely great system that was only held back by terrible marketing. Especially if you mod it.

I admire your dedication to test your theories ! The patience of trying for hours some solutions is really impressive !! Thanks for the great content and happy new year !
Very interesting video idea, tho a handful of the tracks you marked as impossible are actually pretty straightforward with a more efficient combo. Any road slightly wider than average is possible with max handling and perfect brake drifting Some examples I found: SNESbow - The 2nd U-Turn after the 2nd item set Riverside - The starting platform Shroom Ridge - The hairpin (Where the first batch of 5 coins are on the hard shoulder) Havent tried all of them yet and honestly I cba to do em all. I can imagine MC3 Kalamari Choco Grumble and MAYBE Sky Garden also having some spots?
tried the ones you mentioned and it's possible on the U-turn of MC3 (probably some other places as well), the start of Grumble and sky garden is possible via one of the clouds beside the second leaf but its pretty tough
I found another way to do mushroom gorge (imo more fun as well), after you land from the mushroom after the little wooden bridge, you can drift onto the left side of the mushroom if drifting right (and vice versa) and bounce back onto the bridge, do a sharp drift to turn around and drift onto the mushroom and bounce back to where you started.
Try this in mario kart tour. No seriously, mt's drift system is so broken that you can drift on steaightaways. Basically the only requirement for this to work, is if there's not neccissary gliders, and the track makes an oval, i.e. it only turns left or right, never switches directions. I tested this out on 3DS Cheep Cheep Lagoon (R/T) and I was able to hold my drift the entire race.
I was able to get a few that others seemed to not be able to get: Neo Bowser City: You can barely get the loop at the very start of the final turn with some good angles and precise drifting. (This took me 20 minutes to pull off) Dragon Driftway: At the end of the major turn towards the start of the race you have enough room with break drifting. Riverside Park: You have enough room on the turning bridge Grumble Volcano: even after all the rocks fall, you can get it on the split paths area by falling from the top path to the bottom one.
I love how, in the world of incredible feats of speedrunning, people can still be so cofident that stuff is impossible after a few days of trying very hard
Mario Kart's darn checkpoint system will get you every time! I had no idea the game had a feature to make sure you don't accidentally double back on the course, although it makes sense that it would. Happy new year!
I'll admit that I was surprised with the sheer amount of courses it was possible to do this on, and it would've been cool to be able to see all of the possible ones, even with something as short as a clip, but I do ultimately understand that that many would prove to be a little much. Overall, fun concept!
I have done riverside park! If you go on the starting boards, use baby daisy, clouds, mini wheels and biddy buggy and break drift a bunch you can make it

Bro’s voice change hit him like a truck. I remember watching your Mario odyssey incorrectly video last year and the contrast between the two is crazyyyy.
The airport one might technically be impossible, it depends on the boxes. Every time you encounter them it must be in a way which you can pass through, for this to be reliable you must get a consistent loop where at some point the boxes are at their initial point when you are at your initial point and reach this point without bumping into them.
Oh my god I got recommended your optimal yoshi valley path way back when you uploaded it and just saw this now. so happy you’re still doing stuff and you’ve grown so much! keep it up
Doing an infinite drift is possible on riverside park, using the max handling build (baby peach, pipe frame and roller wheels) you can barely complete it on the large mud turn before the cave. It requires that you precisely tilt the joystick so you stay on the track, but it is possible.
I think you should’ve gone through each course- I know there’s so many now, but seeing where each one of the easy ones and where you tried and failed on the impossible ones are just as interesting as the ones that were a struggle, but possible. That way we can get a better idea of what you did.
