🎤 To watch with subtitles, please click the 'CC' button on your UA-cam video player :) Good evening! And welcome to this tour of the magnificent medieval city of Norwich, once one of England's most advanced cities, and still home to a spectacular array of landmarks, atmospheric streets and riveting stories! So sit back, relax, and enjoy this bumper tour of Norwich, right the way from the city's imposing castle to its cathedral, and 'probably' the oldest pub in the city!
My two biggest passions are medieval history/buildings and pubs/beer! In this light, I'd rate Norwich with Bruges, Prague, Nurenberg and Munich as Europe's finest Cities!
This video is lovely, well produced, researched and narrated, it will be of interest to anyone who isn’t familiar with Norwich or its history. Whilst it’s not a criticism the camera shake is the only thing which differentiates this video from one produced professionally. 👍
This was an excellent tour with a good commentary in terms of content and delivery. It reignited long ago memories of my time at the university in Norwich
I, in all honesty, think this is the best city overview channel I've seen on youtube. The historical approach really adds to the experience! Do you have any plans on exploring towns outside of England as well?
Your videos are so interesting and informative especially helped by adding subtitles. Hope you continue to make more videos as they are amongst the best on You Tube. Thankyou!
Very nice, both the video and the city - but are you sure City Hall has the largest clock bell in the country?! I'd have thought big Ben (at least) is a good deal larger.
You missed Roman Catholic Cathedral Church of Julian of Norwich statue of Wellington and Edith Cavell UEA magnificent Architecture the beautiful St Benedicts Norwich City football ground the enormous shopping centres Gentlemans walk St Giles the nome of mustard and many many more landmarks This was fantastic but only partial
Tombland was named Tombland because of the tunnels and Tombs underneath its grounds NOT because of a market overland. From Alaya born and bred in Norwich how dare you !
@@cianog No, Norwich is a very safe place to visit, I speak from experience! Prince of Wale Road at 2am on Saturday can have a very problems, bit that is it!
You also have not mentioned the Jewish influence in Norwich the Tragedy that ensued, and the FACT-that Strangers Hall was home to and hiding place for Jewish bankers in Norwich. I’m disappointed in you. Alaya Born and Bred in Norwich

Great Video My Friend
Another great report. Sadly, he missed commenting that the famous WWI nurse, Edith Cavell, is buried at the Cathedral.

Great Video My Friend 😍
It's not 'Cathedral Close,' as in, 'Close the door.' It's 'Cathedral Close,' as in, 'You are too close to me.'
Lovely stuff!
HA HA😂

Maybe we'll get part 2 soon.
I want to live here
Is this different to the last Norwich video?
Tombland was named Tombland because of the tunnels and Tombs underneath its grounds NOT because of a market overland. From Alaya born and bred in Norwich how dare you !
You're so wrong. It's got nothing to do with tombs. The narrator was 100% correct.
Does it have anti social problems or anything to look out for?

Make a video yourself then you can put in all the things you want and leave out everything else .
