i have an 05 NA crossfire and I am about to order a new belt! :) and I guess a water pump...because something makes a whining noise when I push on the gas pedal...it is something this belt spins...so it is one of the alternator/tentioner/water pump...lets see

Thanks for another very informative video.
I need your help with deciding which belt to buy. My vehicle user manual recommends a 2404mm belt i.e. 94.6 inches but the belt I want to buy only comes in a 94 inch and 95 inch variant.
Which one of the 2 belts do I buy?

I have a 2003 C230 Kompressor. Does the tensioner come off the same way without removing the supercharger?

Does tis go for GLK 350 2010 as well? My battery showed up on my dash this morning and the steering wheel won't turn.

Can I assume that the new tension pulley will already have the pin inserted that must be removed once the belt is installed.

+John Byrd Yes the new tensioner should have the pin installed.

thank you. what is the cost of the parts for the tensioner and the belt?

+Jim Madden The one we replaced was bought for $40. The cost of the tensioner is less than $100. Go to mercedesmedic.com/parts/ and search mercedes-benz tensioner and you should see a list of online retailers and their prices.

If you are going to get twatty about it then at least get it right..He meant serpentine belt not V belt as you said and so what if he made a slight mistake anyway. he is only trying to help people unlike you troll.

What is the exact required length of the serpentine belt?

what is the point of a tensioner if you have to take the damned thing off to change the belt? sell the mercedes to some other idiot after making this repair, and buy a vehicle that makes sense.

I take it this is on a motor that doesn’t have a supercharger? Because it’s not that simple to change the whole tensioner with a supercharger right above it… Dumb Mercedes and their dumb thinking…
