I jus had my serpentine belt replaced..now my coolant light is coming on car is running hot and when I turn my ac on its releasing some type of steam
Hello. If you car is running hot, you may have a coolant leak somewhere, check the radiator hoses/ water pump. Some of the most common causes for the system to overheat are.
1 low coolant or no coolant.
2 broken Thermostat/bad Thermostat.
3 broken/bad water pump.
4 bad radiator fan.
5 clogged or damaged radiator.
6 low oil
This is a very rare issue, but it can absolutely happen! Oil has several properties, but one of the critical ones is cooling. Without enough oil, engine components will create a lot more friction, which heats everything.
If it gets too hot, your engine can overheat. If your engine is overheating, take a few extra seconds to check your oil level.
How that broken ribbed idler pulley? Not a comment or word on video!
i was just asking the same thing, i’m assuming he was doing a replacement and just made a video on the belt itself
@Ylide0 thats correct, the video was just to show the diagram and how easy is to change the serpentine belt. The motor of the car was replaced.
