cool, its nice to see the credit going to Primary Arms. love seeing awesome design ideas ! Ive had just a few ideas here, the "key hole" rail design was originally suggested by me, in 1995, as is the rear sight buis 200-600m sight, suggested design idea, inspired from Reed Knight's FG42! Can you imagine all the awesome people who's worked behind the design ideas to make everthing work together so perfectly, I love the ACSS , and all the awesome people behind the scenes. I thank the Lord for them, God Bless You!
Ehhhh... I'm just picky about what I shoot. If it sucks I won't waste my time showing it on the channel by editing the video. Most BDC reticles suck.. plain and simple.. which is why you don't see us shooting many other BDC reticles other than ACSS.
This past summer I got my 16” dialed in using my Primary Arms 1-8 ACSS and consistently hitting steel at 600 yards on XM193. That’s the furthest I’ve stretched her out. It was a good day.
I wish I had 200acres of land to do what I want....you can just wake up in the morning with your favorite cocktail an go out the back door and shoot from the back patio. I have to drive 30 minutes just to shoot at my nearest range.
That's a lot of hold over. Amazing. I remember in BCT, qualifying with my M16. The hold over for my 400m targets was like 26"... and I got both of them. Luckily not a windy day at Fort Leonard Wood. So, looking at that last sight picture you shared, was probably over 4' of hold over...LOL, plus wind... amazing. And great shooting!! I'm using a red dot on my AR presently, but I think I'm gonna splurge and get an ACOG. Just for fun...
I own the TA31f-g never had a optic that was so rounded really complements the rifle I’ve tried showing some old boys from Vietnam that you can bring a 556 out past 300 yards most think I’m full of shit but I’m fine with that I own other optics but my trijicon I wouldn’t dream of parting with.
You should do a video on your personal favorite scope from the list of scopes you have reviewed. Hell.. do a list of all your favorite items after you have tested and reviewed them
I don't shoot enough to justify the ACOG price, but the Primary Arms 1-6 and the 3x Compact Prism Scope are viable alternatives. The only down side is almost twice the weight as an ACOG. Decisions Decisions. Thanks for the video and some mighty fine shooting.
I've been meaning to do a video on this, when you hear people say the PA fixed 3X prism is the "budget ACOG" it's really true. If you can handle the 3x it's a great solution when you can't or don't need/want to spend the dough on the real ACOG.
We've been shooting here for 30 years. You worry about watching the video... we'll worry about the safety. Nothing about the shooting location is unsafe and as a viewer you lack the needed information and perspective to ascertain that info considering how a camera zoom distorts distance.
This is making me question my entire thought process of scope magnification? I was thinking about getting a 20x-30x max but after watching this I dont even think 10x is even neccessary 🤪
Hard to say - I'm unfortunately not up on all the upcoming sales, but that would be awesome. Either way I think you can still use the links in this video to get the free shipping so if you can double dip I would highly recommend it.
Next gen will have 10mph holds. Good shooting and UKD too!! -Dimitri
Primary Arms, LLC e.t.a. on gen2?

Sooper Jake- Id LOVE to know that also. As if it’s in 2019 I’ll wait.
Primary Arms, LLC,
Can we get this reticle on the 3.5X ACOG? It has longer eye relief - though it’s heavier.
How about that reticle on the VCOG??? 😈😈
I like the overlays you’re adding in to show us where you’re holding. It’s a nice touch!
rassi13 Thanks!
A few weeks back my buddy and I were smacking steel at 775 yards with a 4x ACOG. Fun stuff, great optics.
Noiceee!!
ACSS fanboy here. It just works, like MrGuns said. Love it.
Any scope Highjack uses "just works". He's a HELLUVA good shot!

Highjak86 other channels test the PA 1-8 at 200 or 300 yards. you're using a fixed 4x at over double that. very impressive.
I shoot the AR NM at 2 -600 yards, in the old days it was iron sights only. Now with scopes.
As usual another awesome review. I love ACOG’s and I am considering this one.

Darn good content!! Conditions looked Good.. Excellent pretty effective at 500 ..
That’s insane how close you are without same round zero at that distance with the wind.

Hudson Good idea! Noted!

Highjak86 oh man I’d love a video on the PA 3x prism optic similar to this kind of video!!
Unfortunately trijicon won’t make acss reticles anymore. :(…
I wonder what queered the deal.
First round hit on the screen right hit (hip). At 700 yards
this guy is a fucking machine jeez wtf
What red dot do you have mounted on top of the acog?
All the videos I’ve seen on this make the reticle look tiny. How easy is it to pick up the various markings on the BDC and rangefinder?
They are tiny. You have to keep looking through the scope and develop an eye for it
what about the house I see in the line of fire at 12:41 ,

Between the ACOG and the ACSS, what would be the pricing? And which scope would be the best on an M4?
Is there a reason that you switched put the Umbrella Corp. Grip for the BCM grip?
you need to get a sig range finder
Some Great Shoot'n, Bud very nice indeed. ;)
Still have the Weapontech Star FH on that AR?
Btw,Nice shooting
Yep!
800 yards were all left but a body sized group
nice.thank you for your video.

For 556 range
ACSS is just the idiot proof reticle, I love mine.
Where did you get those steel targets?
Challenge Targets. Link is in the video description.
Highjak86 Thanks bro. Sorry I didn't look carefully.
BCM BARREL? Thanks
This the government profile BFH. Full build list with links in the video description.
I'm debating whether to buy this ACOG for my LWRC IC DI, or to to get a DD Mk18... or do a similar build. Im so conflicted... lol
+Highjak86 you think primary arms will have this optic onsale for Black Friday?
Hard to say - I'm unfortunately not up on all the upcoming sales, but that would be awesome. Either way I think you can still use the links in this video to get the free shipping so if you can double dip I would highly recommend it.
ACSS stuff always sells out so not sure
I dont like the horse shoe, it obstructs my view of the target, just the chevron and hold overs is fine.
I have no place to shoot over 200 yards. it's so boring!
