This was his best concert we've been to so far!!!! It gets better & better every time!!! If you havent seen BillyStrings live yet, i suggest you do!!!!
Was so blessed to be able to attend this show last minute. This, his cover of Brain Damage and Away from the Mire were moments I’ll never forget. One of the best shows I’ve ever seen
I’ve played guitar for years. Been in some great bands. Even recorded a few CDs with different singers. After leaving this concert, I knew I had to do one of two things: Practice more because I’m not THAT good, or smash every freaking guitar I have because I’ll NEVER be that good. That shit is HARD to play!
@@philiphempsey9127I agree. I’m now 61 and I’ve also seen some really great concerts in my time: Lynyrd Skynyrd, Keith Urban, RUSH, Bad Company, Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley, Clint Black, Tracy Byrd, The Eagles, and even Garth Brooks, just to name a few. And exert one of those concerns was freaking awesome. But there is something about Billy Strings, his talent, his story, his innocence, his personality, his band...something that I can’t quite put my finger on, because of all the concerts I’ve seen, that concert in OKC last month was by far THE BEST concert I’ve ever seen. Without question. Another thing he did was this: he inspired me to hit the woodshed harder than I’ve hit it in a long time. And that’s what great musicians do: they inspire.
They sure threw down hard in OKC! Had a great spot: Front row right in front of Alex (fiddle player). Got great video of Billy when he ran over to [his] left side of the stage during a solo. In-freaking-credible! 🤘🤘
“Wanna hear something evil?”
He takes the most traditional little bluegrass diddies and turns them into absolute fucking smokers, consistently.
That was a hell of a show.
