- I think for many of us hoya lovers/addicts, a beautifully sun stressed hoya is just SO irresistible. So here I am showing you all the hoyas that are currently blushing :)

Amy! You have the most diverse, AMAZING Hoya collection I've seen! And, it's so curious to see plants with such large leaves in relatively small pots! How does that happen? Fertilizer? Light? Grow tent? What's your secret? Thank you so much for sharing the joy! 💚
Thank you so much!! Most of these Hoyas come to me as rooted cuttings and I pot them according to how big the root system is! So usually not very big! And hoyas seem to enjoy a little tighter space, so Ive heard :)

My Hoya Sunrise is in a very hot west facing window but has not sun stressed and I don't have or I should say I will not buy a cabinet or grow tents...so I will just let it outside my house to give it some sun stressing for 2 hrs a day to control the intensity of the sun because I don't want it to sun burn as well...will see how it goes...Your hoyas are beautiful!

🤩 sun stressing is what started my obsession with hoya and Gunung gading is at the top of my dream hoya list. But the very few times I've seen it for sale, it was not in my budget. So i will admire from a far lol

Thank you so much! Sunrise is such a good hoya! I would just put it in a chunky soil mix. If it hasn't been rooted then a less chunky mix to help promote roots. I find it to be very forgiving of its environment but loves the extra warmth and humidity I give it!
@@Wolfgangsmama Thank you! Bought 2 rooted cuttings, will put one of those into chunky mixed and the other one in lecca ( for experiment ) wish me luck.
Do you have Deykeae & gunung gading care tips in terms of watering ?
I tend to water both when the leaves are a little on the soft side but the gunung gading is not growing as much for me!
I just bought a Hoya Deykeae and I am so nervous about when and how much water to give it.. It's soil feels moist but the leaves don't really feel firm..
Is your grow light turn on 24 hours or only in the evening I, am new to all of these but love hoyas... have few of them .
no, the lights are on from around 7:30am-about 6pm. I am sure they would like it for longer but it's too bright for our living space in the evening!
I’m currently killing my sigillatis😞. I never know when to water it. I water when the soil is dry but then the bottom leaves turn yellow and fall off so now I wait a few days after noticing it’s dry to water and it still turns yellow and falls off. I’m slowly killing it two leaves a t a time😅. Any suggestions?
Aww Naomi I find mine to be very fussy, too! I have had it for so long and it grows so slowly! I know I shouldn't do this but I pretty much only water it when its leaves are a bit softer than normal. I wish I could give you more help but I can't figure this one out, either :(

Lovely hoyas. Is it normal for hoyas to have black or red dots on them or does that mean they have fungus or disease? Thanks.
It really depends on what the marks look like! My hoyas have black and red dots that I don't worry about for sure!

Just liquid all purpose fertilizer diluted to maybe quarter strength!
how do you care for CV joy?
pretty much the same as other ones! warmth, humidity, bright light and water when the leaves are a bit soft.
they say Gunung Gading is really difficult to care, is it true?
I find it excruciatingly slow 😣

My Hoya Sunrise is in a well draining soil mix, it has been with me for 4 months, since October. It produced 4 new leaves but all new leaves fell off! I let it dry out completely before watering, it receives a lot of sun to the point all leaves turned red. What am i doing wrong? Does it like to be kept moist or dry?
Hey it's such a tricky balance... I water mine when the leaves aren't as succulent. A lot of my hoyas drop new leaves, too :(
@@Wolfgangsmama awww, you think it’s because of the winter? do we need to repot it or just let it be and observe? the old leaves are very firm

@@bernadettelopez7225 It is a bit trickier! Mine finally got happy after I potted it in spaghnummoss. And then the rest of the care is the same-warmth, humidity and bright light.

It's not sun tanning or tanned! They're SUN STRESSED. super annoying...
