Not sure I imagine how long this will took to film, thank you for the time and effort you have put into this 🌱💚 As someone who has recently got into Hoya not sure watching is good for the bank account, so many Hoya so little time and money 🤣
Me too. I now have to use one. Over 100 hoyas now. But the weather is changing and I am not willing to chance it. I will just start on a wish list for the spring. You have created another addict.@@BasiePlants
I love your Hoyas they are so beautiful! I own a Hoya Nova Ghost, Grey Ghost, Hoya Wilbur Graves Silver paid a lot for, and Hoya Argentea Princess. Once they grow, I think I might be starting clippings and sale them also opening a nursery
Omg I loved this! I love all of these😬 I would love for you to say more about the gunung gading. Got a one leaf cutting and waiting for it to root. Not many videos about it
This was the best. The second viewing I wrote downs the ones I would be interested in if I ever see them up for sell. Hopefully I won't see to many at once because my list is very long. So interesting what you said about them specifically. All those details really make the video extraordinary.
Please don't say you don't like this or that Hoya, and ready to toss it out. Plants lovers do not like to hear that. You have a very impressive collection.
Thank you for taking all the time and effort to show us the beautiful Hoyas. I just ordered my first Dischidia when you showed the Hirsute I love the fuzzy Hoyas so it will be fun to try my first Dischidia love me some Fuzzy.
Hoya Stoneana is amazingly fuzzy 👀 The underside of the leaves are almost like a short haired puppy fur. Super soft and hairy, but not like Thomsonii. You don't really see it, but you sure feel it.
Wow, that was so much work! Much appreciated that you go through all this hassle :) I enjoyed the video a lot. You have gorgeous plants, but it seems even you struggle with some. I also have Hoya Peninsularis and it's such a pain in the tuches! It won't grow. It starts grow points in many different places all at once but never follows through and always aborts them. It's so frustrating. I will try a lower light situation, I am actually surprised this worked for you. The only time my Peninsularis did anything for me was when I went away on holiday for over a week and left it outside on my south facing balcony in 33 degrees heat. Came back and the damn thing was flourishing. A few days in my presence and it killed off everything again 😐 I dunno. Clearly I am the problem here 👀
I was one of those who asked for a tour a looong time ago 😂💚 Edit: Absolutely gorgeous! But also, I saw a jewel orchid at one point. Please do an orchid collection video, too! Edit 2: Thanks to this channel, I've decided to give hoyas a try. I have 3 so far: hoya carnosa krimson princess, hoya rosita (wayetii x tsangii) and hoya mindorensis 'ut 042. So far we are still waiting for new growth, they didn't seem to like shippinng very much. In the meantime, I have 2 aeschynanthus plants growing very well, the radicand thai pink, and the longicaulis black pagoda getting ready to bloom.
Thoroughly enjoyed the video Miro 🥰 agree with your comments on meredithii, peninsularis and priktai, my favourites too 🤩 Hahniae pink has amazing leaves as well (apart from the cute pink blooms) if you want to try another hahniae with better looking leaves 🙂
amazing, thank you for the tour! :) would it be possible with the ones that bloomed for you, to include what they smelled like to you? I find it fascinating that most smell differently to different people and it would be great to have that insight into your collection! :)
No :) Different crosses, by different people. Hoya ‘Jennifer’ was crossed by Michael Miyashiro from Hawai in the 90s. It is incrassata and finlaysonii cross. Hoya ‘Tequila Sunrise’ is Mike Bernardo cross that came much later - it was crossed by Mike but I think introduced to the market through Susan Swartzfager in 2016 or so. It is a nicholsoniae crossed wtih ‘Godlen Eye’ I believe.
I had to spray all of mine with sulphur. What a lot of work! I did get rid of the flat mites but I still check about once a month to make sure they are still gone. Good luck in getting rid of those mites. 🤞🏼
Thanks a lot for the Video! Great! Looking forward for the next ones. And i have the same issues with priktai and peninsularis;-/ Maybe should try to water the peninsularis more often;-)
Does Priktai drop the leaves for you too from time to time? yes, this was a bit too much, I planned to record this in 2 hours, ended up taking everything out, knocking a lot of it over, recording and cleaning after and it was 7-8 hours total 🤣
Wait a i second im sorry…. Boutta nerd out. I just got so confused… As a thomsonii hoarder it being my favorite plant,,, i thought sp. aff thomsonii was pink flower, and thats why it was that way.. bc just thomsonii is white..? I also never really asked anybody though lol.. Am i wrong? Most of the time they are just distinguished by pink and white, and I thought pink just had fatter chubbier hairy shorter leaves than the white’s more typical flatter elongated leaves. I havent bloomed my white yet, but i have a pink.. it was my “splash” that looks sort of different than all my other clones, but i know for a fact ive been mostly buying pink bc the white just isnt as cute… I have many clones, some look the same (in terms of shape and hairiness and whatever else) a few are definitely different than the next if you look close enough.. pretty much same conditions for all as well. But i be struggling to find actual real accurate info on the species. Maybe im just looking in the wrong places too..? your sp. aff looks just like my thomsonii pink… and if ive been wrong this whole time, my life is a life lol
No, you are right. The aff. thomsonii is supposed to have pink flower. I made a mistake when I was doing a voiceover, because what Ferah sent me is thomsonii (splash) with pink flower too, and in my head I knew there is a difference between thomsonii and aff thomsonii in terms of flower color, but I forgot the reason Ferah sent me her cutting IS because it looks like regular thomsonii in terms of leaves (and it has splash) + it has pink flower like the aff one xD So I confused things a bit in my head without checking the list :) But now I see that indeed in my list is stands "Hoya sp.aff.thomsonii (pink flower)" :)
I will love a 4 hour videos❤❤❤❤❤

There will be more air time for them I promise!
37 seconds in... IM IN!
Wow, that was so much work! Much appreciated that you go through all this hassle :) I enjoyed the video a lot.
You have gorgeous plants, but it seems even you struggle with some. I also have Hoya Peninsularis and it's such a pain in the tuches! It won't grow. Thx for sharing your nice hoyas with us 😍 your videos are always a pleasure to watch and you are so funny 😊

25:25 How could you?!
Also, what is that music at the end? I liked it.
I was one of those who asked for a tour a looong time ago 😂💚

What type of fencing do you use for Hoya trellis 🤔
amazing, thank you for the tour! :) would it be possible with the ones that bloomed for you, to include what they smelled like to you? I find it fascinating that most smell differently to different people and it would be great to have that insight into your collection! :)
Thanks a lot for this tour. Does Hoya 'Jennife'r have something to do with Hoya 'Tequila Sunrise" ?
No :) Different crosses, by different people. Hoya ‘Jennifer’ was crossed by Michael Miyashiro from Hawai in the 90s. It is incrassata and finlaysonii cross.
Hoya ‘Tequila Sunrise’ is Mike Bernardo cross that came much later - it was crossed by Mike but I think introduced to the market through Susan Swartzfager in 2016 or so. It is a nicholsoniae crossed wtih ‘Godlen Eye’ I believe.
OK Miro I re watched this today I didn't notice yesterday cause I was doing Hoya chores did you breathe at all through this video? 🤔
It is a voice over :D If I recorded the voice as I was filming, the only thing you'd hear would be Darth Vader breathing.
😂 it's was great not good for my wish list though 😂
Oh my gosh! Beautiful hoyas!😍😍😍😍 And how do you deal with pests? I have only 60 hoyas, 2/3 of which have flat mites and I want to die....😭
Usually with a mini breakdown xD
I had to spray all of mine with sulphur. What a lot of work! I did get rid of the flat mites but I still check about once a month to make sure they are still gone. Good luck in getting rid of those mites. 🤞🏼
Wait, a Miro hoya tour? I'm gonna need a cocktail and pen and paper. Thanks.
Hahaha :D No pens and paper! Don't you write things down now :D
@@BasiePlants As soon as I saw it was a plant tour, I paused the video and got supplies to take notes. You added about seven to my wish list🤣
Favs: 23:53, 26:55. Can i get a HOOOYAAA? :)
I feel lucky - my Hoya Sventlana put out 4 new leaves in one month! Then stopped growing 😂😢
hahaah :D She was just teasing you :P
Wow, good job. I would have trouble not saying um, uh, and….yeah. Hard to speak quickly without pausing that’s for sure! Can’t wait to see more😊
That’s why I did a voice over. Also, because I would be out of breath xD It still took many takes 😂
I'm reading hoya and Dischidia are not the same.
They are not :) They are very closely related.
Yes, she does it too. One of my cuttings (growing under natural light on the windowsill) keeps its leaves… until now;-)@@BasiePlants
Hi there love your videos what do you use on mealy bugs thanks from Canada 🇨🇦
Hoya warehouse or greenhouse
Miro, you need to hang your Hoya lambii. Its a beautiful hanging plant 😍❤😂
Where do you get you round trellises?
More caudata clones please! Plus I will take a cutting of everything to go.
when we get to the cabinets in video #3 :)
Best leaf- Cao Bang. Best flower - pubicorolla
I wish I knew what mixes you used for each. I just received a rangsan splash and eliptica and don’t know where to start
Beautiful♥️♥️♥️🪴🪴🪴
