I was also snooty about hoya multiflora and all thin leaved Hoyas, I used to say the leaves just look like boring lemon tree leaves. Now I love them to bits.

Interesting, I loved multiflora and odorata because they looked like tree branches. multiflora reminds me of coffee bushes.

I was not interested in the small leaf hoyas at all... then my friend Toby gave me a cutting of Serpens. I loved it! Now I have Eitapensis, Rosita, Mathilde, Pauciflora, Cummingiana, Bella, Burtoniae, Krohniana, Poolei etc.
P.S. it’s healthy to be able to admit when you are wrong! As this is your very first time, I hope I can join some others in welcoming you to the “VERY prestigious” club. 🎉

Was't that thrilled about retusa until she bloomed. Those single flowers about the leaves are such a beautiful surprise. They make all the difference. Also my linearis with multiple blooms on the same vines just wows me. It must be love.

I was wrong about the Hoya Pubicalyx. I got a free one with a plant order and received a Pubicalyx Speckled. I loved it. I have 5 different Pubicalyx now

I was wrong about AH074. I absolutely adore the pattern and the contrast of the dark green with the silver. And it grows so fast.

I was gifted a wayetii about a year ago. I've disliked it for most of that time. I now have a Milsbo cabinet and it's close to the light and has become sunstressed! I know it's a pretty common plant but those black edges have grown on me so much.
Also, I want to apologize for never commenting and sometimes forgetting to like the video I am trying to change. I watch mostly on my tv with an Xbox and I don't think to do anything unless asked by the content creator. So... Thank you for your content! You are clever and funny. Thanks for your hard work :)

Hello from Puerto Rico!! I have the Walliniana classic but the variegated is stunning. The H. Sipitangensis looks so alike!! 🪴
Most Hoya wallinianas seem to actually be sipitangensis :) Because they are so similar I wonder if one day they will be merged into one species...

The Hoya kentiana inner variegated im pretty sure mine was sold to me as a wayetii but regardless of what it is... THE PINK ON THE FRESH LEAVES IS SO PRETTY!!!! That's all I needed, its probably my favorite Hoya.

I was wrong about multiflora too. I didn't under the love until I got one. Unfortunately I lost mine to root rot, but want to replace it. Thanks for another great video!
That Linearis 😍Could you do a care video? I have had trouble getting the temp and watering correct for this one.
Serpens can be quite temperamental for me it’s doing well now after changing location a few times, but still growing slowly.
Someone saying I'm realistic is a huge compliment.

I find that happens between my growtent and cabinets , in my cabinet a few hoya didn’t look pretty under my Cheaper grow lights but when I moved them into my growtent under my nice light they grew and looked so much prettier , so bizarre lol!!

Funny this topic, I just ‘ate crow’ the other day on a one leaf hoya sunrise(all I could save, the rest rotted fast(odd as I live in a desert)) well that one leaf has lived 18 months rent free when 2 weeks ago I saw a new leaf. It’s had two now and a vine- I posted a video about it on my channel- that said, you have put me on a road to hoya hoarding, I mean collecting 😎

For me it's Suzie Q. When I saw pictures, I didn't realize it was smaller than the Queen but looked like a crumpled version of it but when I received a cutting, it was so cute. Now that I think of it, of course I would like it because it fulfills my loves for smol leaves and succulent thicc leaves

I got a lacunosa Royal Flush to pretty much get the free shipping for my cart. Didn't expect to love it so much. The leaves get dark grey-ish and the leaves are all very splashy.
I love my Royal Flush too! I didn't expect it to be so beautiful and to keep the color for so long!
This is how we end up with too many Hoyas 😂. “Oh sure I will just try this one, I can pass it on when I don’t love it.. OH MY GOSH LOOK AT THOSE NEW LEAVES!!”

I was wrong with every single carnosa in my collection: 'Krinsom Queen', 'Wilbur Graves', 'Grey Ghost', Ah074... I had an opinion about every single one and I paid my mouth every single time. Love carnosas now and want all of them. H. retusa too... I thought that was ugly and now is one of my favorite hoyas.
That is basically what I did with carnosas too 😅
Can you tell me more about those 3D printed self watering pots? How do you put that system together? Is it purchasable as a whole set up?

Do you have multiflora silver splash? I saw it in a hoya live sale recently and didn't get it. I don't know now if that's a good decision or I should regret not getting it. 😅
No :) It is probably too expensive for just being silvery/ splashy
@BasiePlants from that particular seller, it was a rooted 2 leaf cutting and already growing 2 new leaves, and it was cheaper than the 3 leafer nova ghost. 😅

I love all my hoyas but...I'm not sure why I got Hoya Cummingiana. It looks like a bush! Lol But maybe it will grow on me...or next to me! Lol And good for you on your ginger drink! As an herbalist I highly recommend it since you have been sick, or even if you just like it!! Lol
That is why I never got one 🙈 I feel the same way about my densifolia. I think ginger tea is amazing!

I haven’t had Hoyas very long. The only one I sort of wonder about is my Wayetii. It doesn’t seem to be growing much. I’m starting to really love the ones with the chubbier leaves like my Mathilde and my Obovata. I love the fuzzy ones too. I can’t stop feeling the leaves. 🤣 Have. Good week Miro. No :) This is how it looks like when I don’t do anything to it 😂 I sometimes curl it for the videos but it is a waste of time because it just goes back to being straight in 2 hours 😂
Looks good both ways! Try using those foam rods over night? Those keep my curls a little more than anything else. Or you could French braid it wet, take it out the next day- ohhh wavy 👌👌
Loved this vid! Thank you. I JUST (like 10 mins before I watched this) ordered a Dennisii 'Frida" from @HoyaEtcetera and I just added her at the last minute to make up the numbers, you know how that goes sometimes, and now I can't WAIT!
I really didn't love silver lady for the first few months and totally regretted getting her and then she popped out a vine and her new leaves are wonderful, and turns out, she's a super fast grower once she gets going.
