The arkham games are a bit overated, I love te game but people be fan boying it to much.
Spectacular spiderma is a bit overated imo, it only had one season, sure it woudve been tge best spidey ever made if it had more seasons but, that's dosent make it the best, 90s is way better, amd THAT shoudve gotten another season.
And ultimate spiderma ( the disney kid show one) wasn't thar badm
1. Anti Venom Peter is >= to Insomniac Venom (He had to call in who knows how many Symbiotes for help) And during their fair 1v1 Peter could have taken out Harry like 2 times. (Audio descriptions mode also describes him as “Gaining the upper hand.”)
2. Insomniac Peter’s Symbiote arc is the best adaptation of all time, due to basically subverting what the current mainline Spider-man run couldn’t (His name is Paul.)
3. Miles and Harry didn’t need more interactions with each other (Though it would be welcome) since the game didn’t treat them as friends at all. Miles even openly said “Just because you are PETERS friend doesn’t mean I won’t kick your ass!” Also in the final fight it was only the Symbiote being angry at Miles.
Ultimate Spider-Man show was good.
Marvel's Spider-Man show was good.
Spider-Man 2, while good, is not my favorite Spider-Man movie.
I won't feel bad if you disagree. I've been disagreed with a lot as of late.
1) I’m tired of the Symbiote being depicted as this evil entity that makes Peter so bad things. Before TAS revamped the Symbiote saga and became the new blueprint, Peter got rid of the Symbiote because he was weirded out by the suit being alive and wanted to get rid of it after learning the truth. The suit didn’t make him more aggressive, it even went out to save people while Peter was asleep because it was inspired by his desire to help others. While I’m not against the suit making him aggressive, I am against it doing it maliciously or as a kind of brainwashing where Peter’s innocent of all his actions because the suit was changing him. Peter should be changing the suit, not the other way around. And while Insomniac went with this route like 95% of the time, there’s that 5% that has the characters act like the suit is at fault. The story hops between these two viewpoints and leaves just enough of the usual “suit makes someone angry and evil” to oversimplify it.
2) I’m getting tired of almost every main villain in a spider-man project to have a personal connection to Peter. For some, it makes sense and even adds to the dynamics of done well (in TAS, Peter attending a science camp run by Otto Octavius when he was a kid feels more casual than retconning that Sandman actually killed Uncle Ben). Not every villain needs to personally know Peter prior to them becoming a villain just for the “this isn’t who you are!” and “please, I’m begging you!” stakes for artificial emotional weight. I’ll credit the MCU for (somewhat) not doing any of that. Vulture happened to be Liz’s dad but he and Peter never had any prior interactions outside of Spider-man. Mysterio, while he already knew Peter’s identity and made a bond with him, it was all part of his scheme to get EDITH as opposed to them knowing each other before “a terrible accident that changed who he was and turned him into something he isn’t”
3) People being turned into villains because of some accident that create a Jekyll and Hyde situation (or just the powers corrupting then) has become overused and sort of shifts the blame off of them in a way. It’s not a bad trope, especially if done well. But we’ve had so many instances of people becoming villains not out of their own free will or unfortunate circumstances, but because they got zapped with an evil ray and started blowing things up. Norman went crazy from Goblin juice, Otto had his subconscious desires take over via the tentacles, the Doctor Connors was getting more and more corrupted by the lizard formula, Max had his issues but didn’t lash out until he was electrocuted to death and came back to life, TASM Harry was clearly affected by the spider venom, Insomnaic Otto had the exact same thing as Spider-man 2’s Otto but had a bit of a choice behind it, and Harry was “taken over” by the Symbiote. Not every Villain needs to be sympathetic and “have a point”, or “become something they’re not”. A villain can be engaging without being some poor sap who fell into a construction site and became “the bulldozer” after bonking his head on equipment.
Hot Take: Peter should keep the Anti-Venom symbiote for SM3 onwards since it doesn’t really make sense for him to lose the suit (since it’s LITERALLY apart of him now) or to give it up willingly since he can do more good with the Symbiote full under his control. If Miles gets to keep his new blue bio-electric powers, there shouldn’t be a reason why Peter shouldn’t keep his new Anti-Venom Symbiote powers.
I don’t get where people are getting this idea that MJ’s face was completely changed. She looks almost exactly the same as in the first game. They just changed her eyes and hairstyle. That’s all. Some Spider-Man fans are idiots.
This is more of a venom hot take, but since venom is spider-man related I think it still counts.
I hate when venom is depicted as always being as big as the hulk or just overly muscular in general. It's always bothered me, especially as someone who loves spider-man 3's venom. It never made sense to me that venom would by default be hundreds of times bigger than the host, especially when the host is an average sized human. A lot of people point to eddie being muscular in the comics as a defense, and while eddie was a bodybuilder, he wasn't anywhere near hulk's size, even with the symbiote on. I've personally always held the belief that venom should be the size of it's host or at the very least should have some sort of resemblance to it's host, it shouldn't be the same size for everyone who wears it. That's what I liked about agent venom. It was still venom, but you could tell it was someone else other than eddie brock, not just because of the redesign, but because his size is closer to flash's actual size.
Exactly. He was bigger than Spider-man because Eddie had more muscle mass than Peter. TAS Venom is still Eddie’s size, Spider-man 3’s Venom doesn’t pack on an extra 500 pounds of muscle mass, it’s still just acts as a suit, not physically transforming a person into a hulking alien. Because all I think of when the mask/head is retracted is “where’s the rest of their body in relation to this 15 foot tall behemoth made of sludge?”
@@moviehermit5631 That's what I'm saying, finally someone who gets it. The symbiotes are supposed to act as living/organic costumes. The host is supposed to wear the symbiote, not the other way around.
@@Ash-Winchester And it also bugs me just how sensitive writers make the Symbiote’s to loud noises. Sometimes it’s a specific frequency, other times, it’s a car alarm that completely shuts the suit down as opposed to just giving it and the host a headache. Venom 2 makes the Symbiote’s way less intimidating if one ring from a church bell causes the Symbiote to fully retract.
And it also bugs me how often the Symbiote is depicted as an entirely different entity. The Venom movies are especially guilty of this by just making Venom be the Symbiote on its own regardless of who wears it. The symbiosis aspect doesn’t mean anything when it’s literally just the Symbiote taking control while the host becomes a passenger. That makes it distinct from a character like Hulk where only one is in control at a time. People just keep forgetting the “symbiotic” aspect of “symbiotes”. They aren’t parasites that corrupt the host and control their actions, they become part of the host as the two become one

Spectacular Spider-Man is Overrated (I don't hate it by any means) and I honesty prefer the 90s Animated Series and MTV 2003 Show over it.
Instead of a Venom spin off video game made by Insomniac, I wanna see a Agent Venom spin off game made by them, with Flash Thompson being the host.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2's version of the Symbiote invasion was more interesting than Web of Shadows version of the Symbiote Invasion.
Harry Osborn can work as Venom and Hobgoblin/Green Goblin 2.0 in different versions of the character, if done right.
Insomniac Venom gets too much hate and he was pretty fine for what Insomniac was going for him, he just needed more screen time to be any more better and developed.

I think the 2017 spiderman show was kinda decent but really flawed
The comic book suit from the first insommniac game was the best one and should have been brought back in the second game.
I think that Peter Parker being in Hight School is not that bad of a writing choice , i just feel like it should not happen in every adaptation.

I gonna have to on your disagree on your point of saying insomniac comics are not canon because of his power level, the thing with that there’s multiple videos of Colin and other channels saying that insomniac scale to 616 with back up evidence and the comic of where insomniac and 616 where there fighting there contexts to that battle 616 was holding back while insomniac was putting more of effort than he usually does. But in conclusion the comics are canon and 616 would beat insomniac mid-high diff.
The actual reason why the comics aren't canon to the games is because of the side mission where he meets up with a spider verse character who mentions miguel in their brief interaction between each other and peter acts like he has never heard of the name miguel but this is contradictory to his comic book counter part who has met miguel in the spider geddon comics on numerous occasions.

@@lmvengefuI I was going in with the mindset that insomniac spider man has already met spider man 2099 and knows his secret identity because spider people don't hide their faces around each other but now that I think about it more and did research it, it turns out that insomniac spider man never personally met spider man 2099 or at least his alias counterpart. I wasn't talking about him shocked that there's portal right in front of him I mean that I can imply a lot of others things honestly. So I guess that the comics are cannon to their games which I am happy about.
I think the timeline goes like this: Spider geddon comics first then infinity comics then across the spider verse event happens then the spider man 2's event at the end.
This shit is confusing but it at least makes sense and plausible.
Given how obsurdly strong 616 Peter is, even if he was massively holding back he would still whoop Insomniacs ass
Especially as Insom in his games never displays any feats even remotely close to 616 at his peak
At best it’s an outlier for Insom given that he definitely doesn’t come anywhere near 616s consistent levels
@@TheGamingRift11 In all of their fights, 616 spider man has either won or it ends without a victor due to circumstances. 616 spider man was trained by iron fist where he learns and creates his own martial art style and learns how to suppress more of his power.

And my hot take i guess is that the raimi films don't hold up and his characterization of peter is a lttle lame. And the raimi suit for me is just the clasic suit but worse in everyway. 3:36 i agree with this but normal venom is still better but raimi venom was actually pretty ok.

The only hot take a care to add into is the spider geddon and unlimited comics
If to insomniac say insom peter has done what he did the comics and does scale to 616 Spider-Man or other characters
I don’t think insom would beat 616 beyond the fact insom being close to 616 level would put him above other base versions of Spiderman that we see in most adaptations
And the argument that insom is weak because he got his ass kicked by sandman thus shouldn’t scale to 616 is asinine when actually looking at that as an argument
Since if 616 fought insom sandman
If it is with less gear then insom i dont think 616 is beating sandman without tech or prep anyway

For instance peter might get stronger in the next game even without symbote because hit healed very wounded he ever received that hadn’t been properly treated and make him physically capable then he has ever been

anti venom can be taking away his powers solidly and may end up weaker them he ever has been without it
It’s a case where the writer can write this and it changes the character’s scaling
Which applies to every character
In also of the perspective a character being strong or weak comes down what makes sense rather them makes a character look better
An example would be ’m sure you heard some people say the live action Spider-Man some say are ftl and country level
Yet not even 616 constantly to say a city level at times so what makes people think the live action are country
I disagree with that sclaing for the same reasons for insom scaling to 616 in which it be an indicator not a for sure scaling thing
in either case you have to acknowledge consistency over any so called high tier scaling where a character somehow is higher then what they constantly show themselves to be
In which adding the high scaling seems like a way out “if”

@@ATalesTruth- I actually found out recently that insomniac spider man games are canon to the comics so yes I agree on that part. Hold on I want to clarify something I thought that the mind wipe only erased the events of the infinity comic series not the spider geddon events.
