The only thing that I agree with joker on is how comics mj is better, but not for the reasons he gave. In the comics, mj had a more personal connection with peter because of how both put on a mask to hide how they really feel, with mj putting on a party girl persona to hide her deep trauma. Scorpion is the same guy that got his jaw punched off when (Otto AKA Superior Spider-man) Peter didn't hold back... I don't get why he's so focused on Scorpion and Kraven in powerscaling terms, there has been so many different versions of these characters with fluctuating strength. It just seems like the most stupid thing to complain about, especially when he goes onto the spectacular Kraven and say "nah you're okay" even though it's one of the most none accurate comic book adaptation of the character. Especially when the mutation just fundamentally works similarly to the magical herbs as in its to amp Kravens physical capabilities. Both these two things are just to make sure Kraven is strong enough to be a possible threat. You see how this Joker guy just flip flops on what he deems good or bad. An adaptation can take from other medias and also have something different. As much as I disagree with Joker's "take" on SM2 I do have to agree with Venom, Venom isn't a good character in this game (nor was he good in WoS either) I know this whole video is about showing that comic accuracy isn't that important however there are things that should be respected like say a characters personality, In the comics Venom has a very 90's edgy and kinda goofy personality, that obviously wouldn't be fitting for a game like this, however, giving him at least some personality would be better than just make him a generic monster who roars and says generic villain crap, a good adaptation of Venom recently would be his appearance in Midnight Suns, giving him an actual personality, that's why Insom's Venom was so lacking, it also pisses me off that they basically used the entirety of Donny Kates imagery for Venom in this game and didn't even credit him, and it's such a shame, they took one of the best Spder-Man villains, an amazing voice actor, and an even better design only to throw it into a soulless husk of what Venom is (again this isn't just a complaint for MSM2 it's also a complaint for things like WoS Venom or Raimi's SM3's Venom)

It’s the fact that he emphasizes the tired states to justify Kraven beating Peter and Vermin, but completely ignores Peter’s tired state in Spider-man 2 when he gets knocked down or loses a fight. And another factor in the Scorpion fight is that Kraven came prepared. Not just with the strengthening herbs, but an antidote to his poison on-hand that Peter can see. That’s why Kraven tanked his poison, because he already prepared the antidote to counter it 27:06 He really loves throwing in that trains line again and again and again. Even though it’s only alluded that it worked once before as a fun reference, and then he proceeds to find another way to stop it. Pulling the tracks up so the train smashes through the ceiling and onto the road isn’t the same kind of “stopping” as Tobey’s train scene. And the time he stopped the train in the flame mission was through the use of explosives on the tracks to derail it. Neither of these are the same as just Peter stopping it through brute force. It’s like saying Peter shouldn’t ever have webshooter issues because he has infinite organic webs like the Raimi Movies And another note, if he’s so stingy about “comic accuracy”, he should be angry at every other adaptation not having Peter get the Symbiote during Secret Wars. Not a single adaptation (to my knowledge) has ever had Peter get the suit on another planet during a massive war. Every single time, it’s the Symbiote coming to earth. If every single adaptation followed the same story beats the exact same way, everything would be the same. Nothing would set it apart or change and it would just be a rehash of the same events but with different faces.
Btw, Eddie Brock DOES exist in the Insomniac Earth 1048 universe, as in the first game, one of the backpack items is the farewell card people signed for Peter when he left the Daily Bugle. You can see names like Betty Brant, J. Jonah Jameson, and a "Good Luck" message from Eddie Brock. Just a lil' fun fact.

I’m a little late to the party, but I actually debated with him recently about a month ago on how his logic was that the symbiotes are a complete 180 from the accuracy of the comics for having not Eddie or Donna as hosts (even though they’re parasites and Venom has had different hosts over the years.) but Deadpool being a complete down horrible objectifying touchy creep with women is “accurate to the comics”, even though there is literally no run prime or elseworld where he’s like that actually quite the contrary, Deadpool not only had substance but he actually treated a woman in his comics like actual people and he was rarely ever perverted and if he was it was more childlike and bantery and not predatory, it’s even like that in the movies. And after seeing this video, I definitely see why he actually has these terrible double standards for the 2013 video game Deadpool. This guy is a complete down horrible clown and I’m sure he sees himself in that creepy inaccurate version of Deadpool. The only thing that I agree with joker on is how comics mj is better, but not for the reasons he gave. In the comics, mj had a more personal connection with peter because of how both put on a mask to hide how they really feel, with mj putting on a party girl persona to hide her deep trauma. Also in the comics mj was never really a damsel in distress, that whole stigma of her being one came from the raimi movies

I don't get why he's so focused on Scorpion and Kraven in powerscaling terms, there has been so many different versions of these characters with fluctuating strength. An adaptation can take from other medias and also have something different. If you want comic accuracy then read a comic looking for comic accuracy in a VIDEO GAME is crazy. 2 different styles of media and you want one to be like that other there is no point of having 2 styles of media at that point then. As much as I disagree with Joker's "take" on SM2 I do have to agree with Venom, Venom isn't a good character in this game (nor was he good in WoS either) I know this whole video is about showing that comic accuracy isn't that important however there are things that should be respected like say a characters personality, In the comics Venom has a very 90's edgy and kinda goofy personality, that obviously wouldn't be fitting for a game like this, however, giving him at least some personality would be better than just make him a generic monster who roars and says generic villain crap, a good adaptation of Venom recently would be his appearance in Midnight Suns, giving him an actual personality, that's why Insom's Venom was so lacking, it also pisses me off that they basically used the entirety of Donny Kates imagery for Venom in this game and didn't even credit him, and it's such a shame, they took one of the best Spder-Man villains, an amazing voice actor, and an even better design only to throw it into a soulless husk of what Venom is (again this isn't just a complaint for MSM2 it's also a complaint for things like WoS Venom or Raimi's SM3's Venom)

He sees Peter getting kicked to the ground or to a wall as losing a fight, but Kraven beating Spider-man and Vermin (even capturing him to set him loose on Spider-man to further prove his point) isn’t seen as him beating them, regardless of both their tired states.
It’s the fact that he emphasizes the tired states to justify Kraven beating Peter and Vermin, but completely ignores Peter’s tired state in Spider-man 2 when he gets knocked down or loses a fight.
And another factor in the Scorpion fight is that Kraven came prepared. Not just with the strengthening herbs, but an antidote to his poison on-hand that Peter can see. That’s why Kraven tanked his poison, because he already prepared the antidote to counter it

Even though it’s only alluded that it worked once before as a fun reference, and then he proceeds to find another way to stop it. Pulling the tracks up so the train smashes through the ceiling and onto the road isn’t the same kind of “stopping” as Tobey’s train scene. And the time he stopped the train in the flame mission was through the use of explosives on the tracks to derail it. Neither of these are the same as just Peter stopping it through brute force. It’s like saying Peter shouldn’t ever have webshooter issues because he has infinite organic webs like the Raimi Movies
And another note, if he’s so stingy about “comic accuracy”, he should be angry at every other adaptation not having Peter get the Symbiote during Secret Wars. Not a single adaptation (to my knowledge) has ever had Peter get the suit on another planet during a massive war. Every single time, it’s the Symbiote coming to earth. If every single adaptation followed the same story beats the exact same way, everything would be the same. Nothing would set it apart or change and it would just be a rehash of the same events but with different faces.
Btw, Eddie Brock DOES exist in the Insomniac Earth 1048 universe, as in the first game, one of the backpack items is the farewell card people signed for Peter when he left the Daily Bugle. You can see names like Betty Brant, J. Jonah Jameson, and a "Good Luck" message from Eddie Brock.

I’m a little late to the party, but I actually debated with him recently about a month ago on how his logic was that the symbiotes are a complete 180 from the accuracy of the comics for having not Eddie or Donna as hosts (even though they’re parasites and Venom has had different hosts over the years.) but Deadpool being a complete down horrible objectifying touchy creep with women is “accurate to the comics”, even though there is literally no run prime or elseworld where he’s like that actually quite the contrary, Deadpool not only had substance but he actually treated a woman in his comics like actual people and he was rarely ever perverted and if he was it was more childlike and bantery and not predatory, it’s even like that in the movies.
And after seeing this video, I definitely see why he actually has these terrible double standards for the 2013 video game Deadpool. The only problem i have with the Insomniac version is that they fell victim to the woke mind virus. The first game was mostly ok. Spiderman 2 was woke trash though.
