- Guys, I apologize for the lack of uploading this week. The last 2 weeks have been tough, but the last 5 days have been brutal.
Obviously it’s not easy to make content in the winter here in Ohio, and having so many projects going on at once compounded the issue this week.
But I’m back, and so is the Malibu! Watch as we go from a pile of parts, to making pulls on the dyno and driving the car within 5 days.
The new heads and Intake from Trick Flow made this engine sound completely different and it definitely makes more power too! - Авто та транспорт
These last few years have been such a journey of major accomplishments, relationships and hard work that’s paid off to get to this point, well deserved Bill
I agree and as cool and fun that Malibu is I can not wait to see the smile on Bill's face and competitive nature come bleeding out when he gets his Nova running again

I couldn't be more happier witnessing the resuscitation of the Malibu, the biggest thing I get from this is even with new quality Parts things can still go wrong witch means throwing your engine rebuild together cutting too many corners just to make it work increases the chances of engine failure in its many forms and this is certainly not the case demonstrated here, glad to see the Malibu back and ready for testing. phenomenal turnaround guys this is very impressive.
Bill, your editing and the style of your filming is unmatched. Seriously, its probably one of the best channels on youtube. Guys have been trying this for years and years and you have surpassed them in video quality! Its amazing man. Super proud and happy for you and your team. Just seems like the other day i was following on facebook watching you spread gravel and replace drainage tiles. Now youre living the dream! Congrats and keep the vids coming!

Yep, totally agree. I found Billy’s channel just a couple of months before Bill started his, so I have been an avid fan since the beginning of OMG and I am Bill’s fathers age but have been a gearhead for a very long time.
Stellar job on how quick the turn around was getting a new engine back in the Malibu seeing that thing drive off for the first time with this new motor put a huge smile on my face and made my easter for me thanks Bill your friend josh Holden down in Cincinnati.
I think where you're going to notice the big differences with them heads and intake is when you spray it that things going to really breathe on the top end😊

Bill, It doesn’t matter what you are doing for content, I believe you have a family of followers that watch all content. It's Back! I love that body style on the Malibu's and you have one of the nicest ones around anywhere. Congratulations to you and the crew. I was a little off on my Horsepower # guess ,but I went back and saw why. You lowered the compression some and the camshaft is a little smaller than I was thinking. That little 421 sounds dang good and will make all of the power when you start spraying it. 2 weeks is a dang near impossible time frame to do all that you did, but that goes to show that all of the hard work and relationships that you've made over the years is really paying off and will continue to get better. You definitely have one of the best crews around and this was a total team effort. As someone who has been following your racing journey over on Instagram way before ant of the UA-cam channels were going I'm dang proud of all of you. It's so good to see you get back behind the wheel of what will be a very competitive street driven car. You've worked long and hard to accomplish these goals and it's really nice to see it happen to you and your family. 2023 is going to be a big year for you, Billy and Tommy. The music in the background while you guys are putting the malibu back together is hilarious! It reminds me of the old A-Team TV show when I was a kid. When they would start building whatever crazy car/truck/tank they would build.
By far the best shot is when Bob rolls on the loud handles on a new engine he is very intense my best guess is he is thinking come on baby i gave you my best now give me yours and for the love of god please stay togather and give me some big numbers. thats cool good job dude.
Thank God someone finally showed the cam being degreed! Most of these TV shows never film anyone decreeing the cam., let alone measuring pushrods. LOL! I'll be at Norwalk for the NHRA Nationals, starting June 22nd., if you're interested. Stop by and have a beer. My class (L/SA) is full of Malibu's and other G-bodies. I have an 84 Cutlass 305. When I trashed my last engine on a Friday night test and tune prior to my first national event and without any knowledge of what was going on, my wife and best friends bought me a ZZ383 and had it installed and running by Thursday morning. Once I arrived home from a business trip, to my surprise I walked into my buddy Gary’s garage to see and hear my car running. Gary looked at me and said “get ready to run your first national event. What better wife and friends could you have to give me such a gift to run my first national event on my 50th birthday with a brand new engine. Life just can’t get any better.
Im not a chevy guy at all but i love the malibu. And the fact that it has all the accessories and its a conventional sbc and not an ls is icing on the cake. Ole boosted gonna have a hard time with that car.

Got project 6.0SS awakened. That's enough work let alone. Brand new engine is a lot more not enough hours in the day for that. Been watching for years. From then till now what an adventure it has been.

Once Bob revved it on the dyno I could tell it was going to be much peppier than the old engine. This thing raps up fast and smooth. Be nice to see how it performs on the juice Bill. Good luck and stay safe.

Next paint job, try putting a couple coats of clear coat or have Mark mix you up some single stage paint in Chevy orange for the block. It keeps them super shiny, it also holds up to oil, brake cleaner, temperature, etc!
Makes cleanup a breeze too. It’s easier, cheaper and faster to just apply the clear coat over the engine paint your using, but your choice. We always use regular automotive clear coat or single stage paint and it looks great. You can apply the clear coat over top the spray paint and it works just fine. Just tell Kenny to pull the masking tape off right after he applies the clear coat or single stage paint. If not, sometimes it can pull the edges if it’s already cured/hardened. Engine looks amazing! Can’t wait to see it run. 🤘

I did it in 4 days once.. with the help of 4 other guys. My 1st year circle track racing. Got rookie of the year in NASCAR whelen series that year at the bullring @ Las Vegas motor speedway.
I know how much work it is. But at least your not in a rush to make it to a race and hold onto points. Good job. You have a good crew, friends and family.
