For sure. I have nothing to compare my experience with but maybe others can comment about that! Really appreciate you always stopping by and leaving a comment!
Detroit pizza has really blown up out here in Portland, Oregon. We've got a whole bunch of places that specialize in it, and I've really enjoyed them all. So much so that getting to Detroit and going to Buddy's is on my travel list. Glad to see you and Josh going and enjoying it. Thanks for the great video!
OMG POPS I CANT BELIEVE YOU MENTIONED ME IN YOUR VIDEO THANK YOU SO MUCH .THEY ALSO GAVE US. SLICKERS BECAUSE THE NIGHT WE WENT ON THE TIRE WHEEL IT WAS MISTING .THANK YOU AGAIN YOU MADE MY DAY I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS LARRY
Hi Pops! Love you and Josh on Through My Lens, and I love your top ten. I hope you made it to the River Walk, Greek Town, and The Fox Theatre, to name just a few of my favs😊
Never occurred to me that the chair in the presidential box at Ford's Theatre was not the actual chair Lincoln sat in. How did they even get that, the bus and limo? Wow. Seeing the Ford sectioned like that was cool. I'm not even going to go there over that pizza! 😋 I've never been to Detroit, not what I expected, thanks for showing these interesting must see and taste highlights.
I know someone who knew Rosa Parks a very humble unassuming person. She would tell my friend that she was just tired after a hard day and had no idea her stand would be so powerful!! I guess it was just out in some field rusting and they traced its I’d number to the one she rode that day. Thx again for watching!
I watch several travel vloggers and this has been the best one about Detroit, which my grandfather's side is from, particularly loved the street are projects and my favorite is always the car museums! Thanks for sharing!
Detroit is a diamond in the rough, the music scene has been there even after the Motown years. I grew up listening to Detroit techno, it even crossed borders and was adopted by Europe in the 90s. Also, Axel Foley, and Robocop were (or will be) from Detroit.
I THINK I ACCIDENTALLY PUT MY REPLY IN A REPLY ANYWAY OMG I CANT BELIEVE YOU MENTIONED ME IN THE TIRE WHEEL WHICH I RODE IN THE 1964-65 WORLDS FAIR IT WAS MISTING THAT NIGHT SO THEY GAVE ME AND MY MOM AND SISTER SLICKERS WHAT A MEMORY .YOU ARE AWSOME AND VERY THOUGHTFUL FOR MENTIONING ME YOUR THE BEST POPS LARRY FROM LONG ISLAND
I hoped you wouldn’t mind. I just thought your experience was so interesting! Thx so much for watching! I think I visited that words fair too as a kid. It was in NY?
Did you also visit the Greenfield Village and Ford assembly plant when you were at the Henry Ford museum? We spent one day and visited all 3 locations but it would have been nicer to have two full days. So much to see!
@@popshikingI wondered how long it took to go to all those sites. How long do you recommend staying to see all the things you did leisurely? And where would you recommend staying - outskirts or city center? I’ll be there first week of September.
I only just found out about Detroit style pizza. I’m intrigued. I grew up listening to Motown more than most other genres of the time. I’m a child of the 60s and 70s and Motown is the style of music both my parents and us kids enjoyed equally. I mean who doesn’t love the four tops or the temptations?
! Thank you! That Pizza looked wonderful!❤️😀🇺🇸🌏Best Detroit video Pops,
Thanks! It really is the best pizza!
It is great to see the resurgence of Detroit. It was struggling for so long.

Thx for watching! Yep Axel is a great character. I like those movies. I know I barely scratched the surface of what the city has to offer.
Nice video. I was in Detroit 30 years ago and regret not trying the pizza after learning what it was.
It is pretty epic. We ended up going for it twice in 2 days we were so impressed. Thx for watching!
It is a very cool city. Thanks for sharing Pops. And now, I’m craving pizza 🍕😁
Hahaha! Once you’ve had Detroit pizza there is no turning back! I always thought Chicago style was my favorite but now not so sure.
Yes Pops! I just booked my flight to Detroit from California last night
Sweet! Have a great time and thx for watching.

I agree. We could have spent a lot more time there but only had planned on 1 day in Detroit so had to keep moving.
