So funny. It’s like they r put out to stud. Round up there ladies old Henry down the road had his final molt. The ladies will be knocken the door down before long … very cool episode. I never thought breeding for the species to do ur part… I loved that. Made me think 🤔
Yes, that is exactly the case. Breeding is more important than ever with more and more species being put on the CITES list and more countries are stopping the exportation of their animals. If we don’t breed some domestically they may go extinct in the hobby.

I took a fork back and opened it up just a tad and I put them on and take them off on the corners and slide them over. Works like a charm.
I want to see more of those two large tanks with the large webs at the bottom. Looking at the video it’s bottom left but it’d be behind your right if you’re sitting in the chair.

Several years ago, I bought 3 GBB slings off of Lillie (I only live a few miles from her), and 2 ended up being female. I traded one of the females for a female A. Purpurea, and traded the male for a male P. irminia. My big adult female is breeding size now... and I recently paired her (last October) and she immediately ate the male.

I bought some clips for future use. I already bought the shoe boxes too, obvs, but I don't have a T that needs that much space, yet. Currently, my Tarantula Cribs Mediums are working just fine, but I thought those were so perfect, and your clips were too, so I bought some. I'm the order from Nevada! Thx for the sticker too! Also, I'll prob buy the updated version, just so I don't break a nail, lol.

a couple of chamfers on the clip where it's snapping on to the plastic would make it much easier to snap in place, unfortunately that wouldn't improve taking them off but it's something.
for taking them off i wonder if there is room for something similar to a compliant mechanism :)
It's a possibility. I'm not that great with the CAD program yet. I need to learn more. TinkerCad is very limited in what I can do on it but I may be able to get access to a better program.

Thank you Sean! Hoping to get some babies out of them. You're right about that LP. I had one mature male and he was probably a third larger than this boy. Funny how they turn out that way. I've had MM from different species and some are smaller and some turn out larger. Same care and everything.
@@TarantulaHaven Fingers crossed for you Alex, yeah I had 3 male H pulchripes, everyone was a different size and all were got at the same time as slings, fed, watered, temperature exactly the same, all pretty much matured at the same time too. Nature is weird.

I know this is an old video, but do you sell the babies? What do you do with all of them?
I don’t sell them personally, but I do sell them to local vendors. I don’t think I have what it takes to become a tarantula vendor. 😅

It's just the clips, and the Etsy store link is in the description. The "boxes" are currently sold at Walmart, 2 in the pack for like 10.98. They are show boxes so they come with some air holes on 2 sides, but you'd need more. Alex did a video on how to make it an enclosure a video or two back. I bought them, and also bought the clips, I think I'm going to buy the newer version of the clips, because they look simpler, and if someone broke a nail, I don't want to take a chance, I have medium nails and it hurts to break them.
Thank you Debbie. I Callie W311 beat me to it. I bought those boxes at Walmart. They're shoeboxes but they make great enclosures if there was a way to lock the lid. That's what the clips are for. :)

@8:25 - That was rookie handling dude. Just leave him in there in the cylinder and he will crawl out on his own as soon as he is left alone. Pause the video and resume when he is out. Win/win for both of you!
Especially because he is facing the opening and when you pull him out like that and then expect gravity to not be working (for some reason) once the paper leaves the cylinder, well....
But good luck on the parring. One of the most fun parts about keeping these guys.
Iv bred a few of my big female LPs and now iv got a mutated Juvi with 6 book lungs. Its in late pre molt and so im going to be looking inside the molt to confirm if these two extra lungs looks to be working or not.
Could be evolution happening right in my room.
