    Thank you, clearer than any video I’ve seen. Just bought a cricut maker two weeks ago and only cut the practice page. Will be purchasing this software.

    Thank u Marilyn, I have been using Corel Draw for creating rhinestone Templates which is a long process without buying more expensive add-ins. This was EXACTLY what I needed in a more inexpensive software with a built in Rhinestone setting and conversion for file format Cricut!! You did a wonderful Job! THANKS!!!

    You probably know this by now, but you can use silhouette business edition program and then cut with a cricut.

    Hello. I really appreciate your videos. I'm starting SCAL 5. I used a font, caved it as png file and converted it to svg file. When converting it to rhinestone, it didn't come out clear. I traced it but I don't know how to make it clear with the rhinestones. It would not allow me to break apart. Thank you for any suggestions you may have.

    Hello Millie, I have an explorer air 2 but I just looked up the software that you mentioned and it states that you can no longer purchase for cricut. I read that from the US CUTTER website. How did you go around that?

    • @MarilynDIAZDESIGNS
      @MarilynDIAZDESIGNS  6 років тому

      maria ervin so sorry I didn’t reply. You have to EXPORT the file as an SVG and an additional window should pop up that asks if you want to save it ‘Design Space / Cricut compatible.’ That box should be check marked! --> (if that’s the correct terminology), lol.

    For some reason when I go to move the rhinestone circles to make them look better in the spots I want them to go I’m having an issue with them snapping to certain spots and not wanting to move....how can I turn that feature off so I can move them wherever I want?

    • @MarilynDIAZDESIGNS
      @MarilynDIAZDESIGNS  6 років тому

      Jessica Martinez use the nudging tool. Its on the right side of your panel with little arrows, using that tool instead of your mouse or arrows on your keyboard moves them slightly and does not necessarily snap them into place. 🤓

    • @jean11290
      @jean11290 5 років тому

      Sheila Lyn Sorry for the confusion I meant to say I’m putting an iron-on graphic using print and cut iron on transfer paper then putting another iron-on onto the graphic. can I or will it burn the graphic I just ironed on? I hope that helps to understand what I’m asking.

    I understand SCAL software may not work with cricut makers according to a seller on ebay, true? Plus my printer is wireless. Again, seller it wouldn't work, true also?

    • @MarilynDIAZDESIGNS
      @MarilynDIAZDESIGNS  5 років тому

      Hmmm...good question. I have never tried it with my maker. As a matter of fact I'm still using my cricut air, however it's compatible with the Cricut DESIGN SPACE, so I'm not sure why they said it doesn't work with The Maker, when The Maker is strictly a die cut machine. It's purpose is to cut materials as Design Space is for designing and at the end of the day, SCAL IS compatible with Design Space and you NEED Design Space to cut. Lol. I don't know what to say. Doesn't make sense to me. I wouldn't want you to waste money, yet it might be worth the $50 try. Good luck!

    • @MarilynDIAZDESIGNS
      @MarilynDIAZDESIGNS  5 років тому

      @@jean11290 what?!?!?! Lol. Oh wow, you learn something new every day. Thats interesting because Cricut used to advertise and/or sell older SCAL versions to go with Cricut. The template is very simple and similar to cricuts format. But hey if Cricut told you that, run with that. Mark my word, eventually Cricut will probably incorporate rhinestones with their product because as of right now, rhinestone cutting works with Brother Scan n Cut and Silhouette. Don't get me wrong, I LOOOOOVE all my cricut products, however they're behind the 8 ball with the rhinestone capability. But I'm confident they will get there! 🤓 Good luck! Have fun!

      Marilyn DIAZ DESIGNS Sorry for the late reply I was having dinner. Anyhow, who knows every time I speak to someone different I get a different answer. I agree that they are behind the ball with respects to rhinestones as this seems to be very popular.

  • @MarilynDIAZDESIGNS
    @MarilynDIAZDESIGNS  6 років тому +1

    For some reason, my replies are not registering. I’ll try again as it’s own post. In order for this to work with Cricut, you must EXPORT the file and save as an SVG. There will be an additional window that pops up and asks “save as compatible to Design Space/Cricut”, make sure this option is checked. I’m not sure if it works with explore, because I am working with a Cricut Air, HOWEVER, if you are able to use Design Space with the explore, it should work the same as it does with the air, it’s about being compatible with Design Space. Hope this helps all the inquiries below. Hopefully this will post!

    Hello Millie, Can you still use Sure Cuts for the Cricut Explore?

    • @MarilynDIAZDESIGNS
      @MarilynDIAZDESIGNS  6 років тому

      Marcy Moore hi! I’m not quite sure. If you’re able to use Design Space with the explore, you should be able to, especially if you export it as an SVG and make sure to save as ‘compatible with Design Space / Cricut. I would check with the person that sells the program. I purchased mine with svg tools. Hope this helps!

    WHAT SETTING ON THE MAKER DO YOU USE TO CUT THE STICKY FLOCK?

    • @MarilynDIAZDESIGNS
      @MarilynDIAZDESIGNS  5 років тому

      I havent tried cutting the magic flock with my maker yet, however the fabric setting worked great on the explore air. If you test magic flock on the maker, start on the fabric setting on a small sample piece and if it doesn't work well, I would increase the pressure. I'm confident it will work great with the maker as Cricut has great machines and an array of settings! However, if I test it in the next few days, I'll let you know! Thank you!

    • @MarilynDIAZDESIGNS

      I don't think you can pull pictures FROM Design Space and import to SCAL. You can however save files to BE COMPATIBLE FOR Design Space from SCAL. I highly doubt you can take from Design Space and put into SCAL. That I've never tried, but to me, it doesnt sound like it should work that way. Plus Design Space's capabilities are somewhat limited and basic.
