I’ve done the WD40 trick and it works but it’s only short term. Six months later I had to do it again. Try using grease, bit harder to apply but lasts longer and doesn’t drip on your shoes.
My clutch pedal was squealing like a stuck pig! Now silent as a mouse. Many thanks for the tip. I do however think wd40 is a very light oil that will not last long. But it is great at getting into all the crevices. Next time I shall try an oil and see how that goes. Problem is where to put it. The wd40 spray was applied very generically.
Spot on fix thanks, had been driving me mad trying to get to it from the pedal side lol
This is so helpful! Mine has been driving me mental for so long - another job for the weekend
Cheers bro, I'm pleased to report 24hrs later we are squeak-free! The clutch feels even lighter now too.
I am on this problem at the weekend 🙃

Chase the squeak - love it!!!
I’ve got heated seat and windscreen wash gremlins at the moment - there’s always something lol!
😆 it never ends does it...!

Grease nipple ! What a great idea
Nice top tip 👍 👌
Hey mate, couldnt see any update from you on this? How has it gone long term, have you had to keep re-applying it?
I filled it with grease in the end and it's been fine ever since. Wd40 only lasted a short while but was a good temporary fix.
@@al-s Ah that is great news, I'll be doing the same with mine soon. Cheers 👍
