Try UltraLight, they are based in the north east near sedgefield. I purchased mine just before christmas 23/24

The thing with lightweight tents is they just can't compete with a hammock setup on cost, packability, or comfort. A hammock is more affordable, packs smaller and lighter, and is unbeatable in rainy or muddy conditions. To match a hammock's weight and size in a tent, you'd likely spend twice as much.

Great points all around. What's your system when you're not near trees or other load bearing structures to hang your hammock?

@@Enwild In Montana, tree availability for my hammock is ample. I also own a side-zip bivy, but need gear that fits the hammock’s space. This limits tent options. I use these videos to assess tent pack space, but haven’t found an alternative to match the hammock’s efficiency and price.

I've been considering hammocks also. I'm in the middle of checking out a bunch of ultra lightweight tents. What brand and model do you use and might recommend? Or the entire setup if you'd be open to explaining - thank you

You're really quite biased on the hammock thing aren't ya?
You never really answered the question directly.
What if you are in a terrain where there are no trees?
      Like the southwest.
Tents are much more versatile than hammocks and I beg to differ on availability on packability and weight.
Hammocks also get much more drafty underneath in cold weather.
To each their own, but hammocks are just a different way of having a sleep system, NOT better.
