      It’s 100% the best tent I’ve had. Really like it for sure

    I would love to see another video played out in realtime(no cut) of you setting up on a clear day but as if it’s raining. Setup the rainfoy first on the footprint then setup the interior tent under the rainfoy. There is no video I can find of this being done with this tent.

      I was thinking the same thing yesterday, and my experience was that it really doesn't make sense to do it that way with this tent. Maybe mine is slightly different? Maybe I'm missing something? But I've had other tents that can easily be set up with the rainfly first, and this one did not have fasteners that would allow me to do that.

      Replying to both of you with one comment below

      So yes it can be done fairly easily and I’ve done it with both this and my previous tent the Limelight 2p by Marmot. The newest version of this tent makes it even easier because they replace the grommet tabs on the fly and footprint with buckles.
      Sadly this tent is no longer in commission and I retired it after 4 years of heavy use. I was teaching a class and we had 70mph gusts and thunderstorm come through. A tree branch was broken off a nearby mesquite and while we were gone, blew into my vehicle and tent. It destroyed this tents rain fly and cracked the pole frame in 4 places.
      While I was able to tape back up the damage to make it the next day and half, I no longer use this shelter. Wish I could set up it for y’all to show you though sorry.

    When I can't find trees, I just use my trekking poles to set up the hammock like a bivy

    Great review.
    It's a great tent!
    I replaced my Marmot Tungsten UL1 which I really liked for this one, not because it was no longer good but rather for the additional additions on the Nemo which I like very much.
    I use this tent for car camping and future bike packing trips and I use my Tarptent Rainbow Li for long distance hiking. This one is very compact and lightweight.

    Thanks for the review. I just bought the new version, Osmo 2. (Not bikepacking version).
    I set it up last night and I really like the tent. However, putting it back in the stuff sack, good grief! What a pain in the rear. I'm really concerned about it because that will be a lot more aggravating in the woods than in my living room.

    • @TheBeardedBurton
      @TheBeardedBurton  Рік тому +1

      That’s unfortunate. This stuff sack is fine and easy to put back

    That is a very nice Nemo Tent ⛺️ . I am a tent person myself because I am a chubby fat dude. This was a great review man. I don't mind paying that much for something good. I also really like your bedrock sandals man. Those are awesome sandals man. I like how the front of the sandal is open for your toes to slide in too. I have very very extremely wide feet 🦶 with very chubby fat wide toes that are Evenly straight across making my foot very very Extremely wide at 6 1/2 inches wide from my big toe to my lil toe & Flip flops 🩴 is the only footwear that will barely and I mean barely fit on my foot Because my toes are wider than the flip flops 🩴 straps. But the problem I have is because of my toes being wider than the flip flops 🩴 straps It makes it difficult for me to fit my wide toes though the straps but with the bedrock sandals it's a lot easier for me to fit my toes in the sandals. I hear to that they are very comfortable to wear for kayaking too & that what I am looking for because I have to kayak barefooted 👣 because of my feet 🦶 being so wide. I like your bedrock sandals man I can't wait to get me a pair man.

    Great review. I’m going to buy it today! One point about the price is it comes with a very competent/featured/quality storage bag! It’s ready to attach to bike frame/ handle bars. That may account for 10-15% of total price?

    Great review man! I have some questions: how tall are you? Do you think a 6"4 person can change clothes in this or even sit on a little box or something to put on shoes? Also did you use the 'Landing zone'? What did you think of it?

    • @TheBeardedBurton
      @TheBeardedBurton  Рік тому +1

      Hey thanks for watching and leaving a comment! So I’m 6’ and have more than enough room to lay down. I really think you’d be fine because I use a long/wide pad that’s 78” long and it fits in the tent body just fine. The height of the tent still leaves a little room for me above my head when I’m on my knees but not sure about someone your height. I doubt a little box and your height will leave my room, but with that said, the vestibules and storage outside are plenty big to hang your legs out and put on your shoes.
      And no, I have yet to use the landing zone, honestly because I always forget about it. I have a light weight ground cloth I use inside the vestibule I keep everything dry on

    The tent you demonstrated has a fast fly option, the new ones do not. Do you know if the model you have can still be purchased? I really want a fast fly option. Thanks!

    How is it with the fly fabric and condensation overnight ?

    • @TheBeardedBurton
      @TheBeardedBurton  10 місяців тому

      It’s amazing with the fly, colder temps like 40° F or below will have some condensation.

    May I ask why you'd choose the bikepacking version over the regular one? Seems like you're carrying unnecessary weight by going with the bikepacking version considering you don't need all the stuff sack loops unless you're on a bike

    • @TheBeardedBurton
      @TheBeardedBurton  Рік тому +1

      Because it was the one I did the most research on and I liked the stuff sack better for my kayaking trips and attaching it. Also the color was much better to me

    The tent body looks like it really slopes down from the ceiling and up from the sides on the foot end. Does it? Looks quite low at the foot. Is it? Did you compare this to the Copper Spur bikepack at all?

    • @TheBeardedBurton
      @TheBeardedBurton  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for the comment! I don’t have a Copper Spur to compare to it lol, this and a Marmot are all I have owned like I mentioned. Yes it does slope down on the foot end but not drastically. Feet don’t touch at all. And with it being the foot end it doesn’t matter. More than enough room to sit up and even be on your knees in the middle
