  • Dragonfly™ Bikepack has a unique suite of features that make it the essential bikepacking shelter. The carry bag is made of an extremely durable diamond ripstop, which features reinforcements and tiedown straps that are perfect for fastening to your bike. The poles are made of shortened segments that keep the packed size small. Dragonfly™ Bikepack securely attaches to your handlebars, under the seat, to any rack, or inside the frame, giving you lots of options and flexibility.
    The tent itself uses premium materials and a tapered floorplan to save weight without sacrificing livable space. A large vestibule with our new Landing Zone™ storage tub offers plenty of gear organization and space to keep riding gear out of the mud. The floor is made of ultralight 20D nylon and the 15D ripstop nylon fly is coated with both silicone and urethane for maximum strength and waterproofness. Thoughtful details like a webbing daisy chain above the door for drying clothing and large trapezoidal vestibules for maximum storage set this tent apart. Thanks to years of coating development and testing, Dragonfly™ Bikepack is able to offer flame resistance without the use of any toxic chemicals or restricted substances.

    OMG thanks so much for this video! it seemed like a simple and intuitive tent to set up, but I was putting the cross bar underneath the long bar which made extremely hard to attach the rainfly. Thanks again, amazing tent!!

    I like that it's available in a color besides bright green.

    Potentially stupid question, but when adding guidelines as recommended, where on the fly should we anchor them? I’m currently using the two neon green loops and extending to the fore and aft position of the tent. Seems good, but I’m still not sure if it’s best practice. There are other green loops but only two extra stakes after the four main corners and the four tensionable fly positions. Once again I’m assuming these are for extra stakes and/or optimizing for prevailing winds, and or anchoring to other objects, such as my bike, tree limbs, a kind passer-by, etc.? Am I on the right track here? Please forgive my assumptions and ignorance.

    How good would this tent option be if you mainly travel in areas with hard ground surface, when the tent poles aren't usable?

      Hi! You would need the poles to set up the tent as there are not enough guyline points to tie to trees. The Bikepack however is a freestanding tent so it can be set up without staking to the ground!

    i like the stealth color, but please don't match with those blue and neon yellow for the next version. the update of hornet and dagger look so great. i am looking forward to the new osmo version of dragonfly bikepack tent.

      Hi! We should be sending some inventory out to retailers in mid October and then in 2022. We're in a very slowed production process but keep an eye out at stores!

    Why did you not show the backside of the single door 1p trnt fly? It seems so short with so little overlap it cannot be storm worthy!!!

    • @NEMOEquipmentInc
      @NEMOEquipmentInc  2 роки тому

      Hi there, thanks for the comment! The cut of the rainfly is to maximize ventilation of the tent. If guyed out properly (we provide a guy line as well as a tie point) rain entering the tent is minimal.

      @@NEMOEquipmentInc Thanks I do see the guyouts and understand the increased ventilation benefits of not being ground level. However my backside (not head side) barely has 1cm of overlap. Seems a bit too short. And I am hoping to have zero rain enter the tent like all of my other makes and models, not minimal rain. Lol.

    Nice looking tent, but wish Nemo would stop with the very aggressive cut away fly on one end, can't save that much weight? Or is there another reason for doing it?

    • @NEMOEquipmentInc
      @NEMOEquipmentInc  3 роки тому

      Hi there! It serves two purposes-- for weight saving as you mentioned, and also to increase air circulation in the tent!

    • @dangermouseanpenfold
      @dangermouseanpenfold 3 роки тому +1

      @@NEMOEquipmentInc ok. But would still prefer slight weight penalty, full coverage and diffy ventilation solution. It is a recurring comment on your designs by lots of review sites and is seen quite negatively.

      @@dangermouseanpenfold I have this tent and it has rained 90% of the time I've used it. It never leaks. Always perfectly dry.

      I had this concern too but the bike pack (30D 3000mm poly) floor seems more durable and water resistant than the regular dragon fly (20D 1200 poly) floor. The hornet is 15D which is kind of crazy imo.
