After searching and searching, I have found "my" knitting podcast. Yours are a seamless combination of education and fun and inspiration. But, more than anything, Kaci, you're simply likable. And real. Your videos are edited beautifully. Your music choices, your knits. All keep me binging your content. It must take you forever to put all of these pieces together, but know that we see that and appreciate that. Wishing you and your family the best!
Oh my goodness. That is sooooo kind of you to say! I appreciate the kind words more than you know!
Highlight of my knitting day listening to your podcast❤️
I’m not young, but I do knit and find your podcast delightful ❤
Your podcast is beautiful Kaci, so well balanced, and just love the music, great work. I’m in my early 70s and unfortunately have a lot of pain in my hands, from a lifetime of spinning and knitting. I also quilt and dye my own yarn and fabric, love it. I still do it all but spinning and knitting in short spurts. Love your cable sweater really beautiful. Cheers from Australia.
Loved your podcast. My first time watching. So delightful! ❤
Oooh I didn't know the pressed flowers shawl was mosaic! It's beautiful.
lol, youtube suggest the craziest videos sometimes. I get it! Love your alpenglow. - All the best, kimberly
Noooooooo sticky traps! They catch more beneficial critters than mice!!! I love your podcast Kaci, it truly makes my day when I see that you’ve posted!!!
So far we haven’t caught anything 😂
I’m a new fan. Just found your channel last week and I love it! You have such an eye for beauty! I especially enjoy the glimpses of farm life that you share. I’m a knitting farmer, too. We live in Virginia and keep sheep, chickens, and a couple of ornery geese who love only each other. We had bees but they died in a sudden and intense cold snap early this past spring. 😢 Our neighbors have pear trees and the bees would swarm the blooms and create the most delicious honey I’ve ever had. It tastes like caramelized pears! We hope to find more bees come spring. I’m looking forward to more of your videos. Thanks for sharing! You bring beauty to the world with every video! ❤
Fellow Arkansan! So glad I found you!
Hi Kaci! I’m finally getting a chance to watch your channel. You have a lovely podcast! I’ll be binge watching for a while. Thank you for being here.
I know I had already left a comment… but after watching Body of Proof I had to let you know … thank you for this recommendation
I enjoyed it! As well I am suffering since May this year loss of strength to my right hand. Devastated to be sure but my relief is in my ability to still knit, create. Not the same gauge or the same way I hold my yarn….. but I can. Knitting is the air I breath. I used to knit Rowan patterns exclusively…. Seaming up my sweaters… my Intarsia…. ALL the cables all the time. Now knits in the round are better for me… for now. My MRI coming up end of this month will be helpful in knowing if surgery can help. We narrowed the problem to AIN nerve injury/ damage…. Why? … not sure. Not frequently diagnosed…. However as I said I can still knit with the paresthesia. ( thumb and 1st and 2nd fingers). Thank you so much for your sharing and all the positives ! Take care.
I’ve just discovered your podcast ! It is very inspiring, and everything is beautiful. Thank you!
Always a joy to watch your podcast ❤️
😂🤣😂 I am NOT a catastrophiser! Loved this!! Also, reliving the memories of ‘mouse-gate’👌 Wonderful episode as always Kaci ❤
You do such a wonderful job of editing and creating a unique podcast. You are a very talented, creative lady… God has blessed you in many ways , I hope you know how talented you are…
Thank you so much ❤
I discovered your podcast on UA-cam today and I had a very pleasant time watching it. I'll be your new subscriber! Have a nice day.
Hugs from The Netherlands !
I'm here after your channel was recommended by Bethany from Well Loved Knits & I'm looking forward to watching more of your videos, so cozy :) the "catastrophizer" was hilarious omg
Happy knitting and preserving 🍐
Thank you!
I can’t wait to see your ribblesdale vest! That’s in my queue waiting for cast on! Oh my gosh, I feel you with the mice! I had an infestation from our neighbors apartment and I had chop the bottom of my wedding dress off as they got in and pooped on it 😭😭 It’s been years and I still look for signs!
Your editing is phenomenal… really adds some cute humor to the videos!
Liking the new word. Just found you and really enjoy you and the content. I'm probably old enough to be your mom but have just started knitting again. And your "ya'll" makes me think of my favorite Aunt. Keep up the good work girlie
Too funny Kaci ! "I am not a catastrophiser".I love everything you make, those cables!, that Alpenglow, superb!.thanks for another beautiful episode!
Thank you Bronwyn!
Beautiful podcast again, great music and video. Your 'I'm not a catastrophizer' made me laugh, soooo recognizable. We had mice last year too, coming out of the crawl space (is that the word?) under our house. Got me real anxious (not because I'm afraid of mice, but just because... well I don't want them sneaking around in my house...), but we took care of it by closing the holes. I happen to believe the mice live at the neigbours since then ;). I wish you a mice-free fall and enjoy the sweater knitting!
I love your channel. Bet of luck on your test knits. They are beautiful, but your shawl is stunning. Happy preserving! 🍐
I absolutely love the ambiance of your podcast, seeing your beautiful knits and glimpsing idyllic farm life. ❤
Thank you ❤
Your music choices are always fabulous, love this podcast so much thank you
Absolutely love your editing hihi😀
Kaci, I'm obsessed with every single project you knit. Your color sense is absolutely incredible and I so thoroughly enjoy your podcast. ❤
Thank you ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I am very interested in the pressed flower shawl. I must look that up. Thank you.
Your podcast is pure joy 🥰🤩
The sweater you are testing for Sari Nordlund is amazing and I adore LORE yarn from FibreCo. I've made 3 garments with it and worn them A LOT, it holds up beautifuly and never pills 🙌
I’m sooo happy to hear that! This will be my first completed garment in it
😂😂😂😂😂 catastrofizer… lol 🤔lol 😂…WTH is it?
🤪 I don’t even know how to spell it… 😂
Another fun 🎉episode and update! 🤗
You have been such an inspiration while I sit here in Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 knitting 🧶 a wool sweater 🫣🤪
Just found you and I must admit I laughed so hard! And I wasn’t aware of the lack of spring back in alpaca. This morning I had casted on for a sweater. The novice chunky by petite knit and decided to use some of what I call my 401k stash yarn (my retirement plan yarn) and chose some dk baby alpaca and some sport weight madleintosh pashmina. I casted on and finished the painstaking rib neckline when I went back to the pattern to read my increases and realized I had cast in 60 instead of 68 stitches. So then I ripped it all out and started again this time with 68 stitches, got about 1/3rd the way in and heard what you said about alpaca and immediately yelled “NOOOOOOOO!!!” But before deciding to frog it again and go down one size this time to 64 stitches, I decided to do some research and this person did an experiment with different additions of wool into the mix checking spring etc. anyway I think my Madelintosh pashmina which is wool, silk, and cashmere should hold it well. Whew. But I was so thankful to hear this. He said that alpaca in fact has very little stretch but will give and has not spring back. Most people find this out after blocking or washing. Interesting. Anyway he said even with 10% wool there is improvement. 25% is best and by the time you reach 50% wool you start feeling more wool and less alpaca kind of defeating its purpose. It was interesting. Anyhow, new sub here. I enjoyed this.
Hello from Mounds Illinois. I love your podcast.
Thank you Janet!
Beautiful aesthetics and lovely projects! I could also relate to the catastrophising thing *hahaha*
I’m so with you on the strange youtube adds… Think yt trying to say me something cause my adds are all about menopaus, baking & cats 🤣. Your Aurelia looks marvellous - grey is just 👌
Thank you so much!!!
One year after the field across the road was cut, my house FILLED with mice. Nit the garage…..my house. Mi set the trap and within an hour got one. I set again and again. When it was all said and done, I caught 8. Discovered their entry point, and plugged it. Hasn’t happened since, whew!
Hi Kaci; love your videos! I am not a seasoned knitter but, I love watching knitting YT videos-they keep me motivated to knit on my projects! I know what you mean about mice.....(cringe!) My friend lived on the Presideo in SF a couple of years ago and had rats come into her car and naw on the seatbelt straps. She couldn't do anything to injure them because their protected by merely living on federal owned land! I think she may have used peppermint oil to dissuade them from her car! GL!
This is the Most beautiful knitting Video i watched. Such a great style of editing and so mich great content. ❤
You're so funny, I just love your videos. Also, your editing is so great; you have an excellent sense of timing.
Thanks Karen ❤
Lovely video, it was a pleasure to knit with you. The catastrophizer bit was soo funny! ❤️
Haha thank you
Another wonderful episode Kaci. Your podcasts always make me so happy. Thank you
Thank you ❤
DEFINITELY not a catastrophizer. DEFINITELY. lol Fun to catch up with you Kaci! Take care ~Stephanie
I’m sure y’all know about the buckets, 1/3 filled with water and the gangplank…we had a 20 year war with mice. They lived in the engine of my truck…until I started it😱😱😱. Kacy I love your content!!!💗🌸💗
Ugggh I hate mice 😭
I love your podcasts.
they make me happy.😁
Thank you!! ❤
First video I’ve seen of yours and LOVED! 🥰 I loooove your cable sweater and your colorwork sweater. I’ve yet to make an all over cable or colorwork sweater so I’m very inspired haha
Anything oversized has a home here ❤🧶
❤❤❤❤❤
Those cables are just delicious! Can't wait to see it finished :) it is amazing how blocking transforms cables... cable projects are the ones that give me the most angst because of what you talked about, the big unknown of what it'll turn out to be! Good luck 🤗💕
Love love the test knit cabled sweater. Your Alpenglow is coming along very cicely too.
Thank you!
Thank you for starting my day off with some giggles. Love your filming aesthetic on this one. That corn looks so good too:
Thank you! And it was delicious 😉
You are darling! I just love it when you post a video. I came and worked on a gauge for the Snowy Forest sweater. I am so glad you loved the bag….. I have 2. You know I use it over my wrist and walk/knit when I am boarding the aircraft, ( the gate agent will pull you aside if you have more than 2 items, a roller board and a small personal purse/ small bag). But-- by knitting as I board my bags aren’t too full-- and they don’t count this bag. Love the yarn color for the vest. I think I feel same about the field mice…. Not welcomed in my car or garage or…… home. Doing the MKAL22 and have all the yarn caked…. Needles at the ready. Thank you for today!
That’s smart!!!
What a joy!
Keep the podcasts coming!💐🌺😄
Thank you! ❤
I like your company while I am knitting. Thank you, be happy and healty 🌸
Thank you!
You are a joy to watch! My favorite podcast. 🎉
Thank you 🥹
Another great podcast and the cinematography is beautiful. Frantically clearing my needles before the MKAL too.
Yes! It’s almost go-time!
Thanks Kaci, such fun. It's great to see all your talents (and sense of humour) shining through in your podcast. Was just about to sign off when the episode with your husband popped up in the feed, so just had to listen to him say ' hello and welcome to the Youngfolk...' one more time 🤭.
You might look for a belt bag or Fanny pack. Namaste used to make a hip holster which was perfect and what I use.
Your episodes take me to such a peaceful place within - interspersed with belly laughs! “Catastrophizer” 🤣 and war against the mice… sooo enjoyed knitting with you this morning Kaci! I am in love with your Pressed Flowers shawl, aaaand every other WIP you have going on.
Thank you Leanne! I highly recommend the pressed flowers shawl! I know you love mosaic knitting. You could whip that out quick!
Always enjoy your episodes. And each one gets better and better with new music, laughs, and scenery. The knits rock, too. 😉 Here’s a crazy question. Would you consider making a 10-20 song playlist? I’d love it!
I thought the same thing! Would love a top 20 playlist! I am in love with all aspects of Youngfolk Knits! Top notch artistry and inspiration! Thank you!
@@marlaalbert7906 that settles it! We officially plead for playlists. 😂🙏
I loved to see those clips of your farm/property! 😍 It must be SO MUCH work to keep that running, but it looks absolutely fantastic.
I enjoy your videos very much , your projects are beautiful👍I also love your chickens and bees 🐝 I wish you a Lott of happiness and many greetings from Germany 👋
Thank you so much!!!
Thank you for keeping me company while I knit on Painted Pebbles shawl by Forest City Girls 😊 All the wips you working on are so beautiful 🤩
Thank you Sylvia! I love your shawl!
I'm also team no cable needle and dying to finish up my current sample knit so I can cast on all the cabled things.
Yum, pear preserves. Thanks for the video, Kacy. 😘
That fibre co yarn is such a pretty color. I LOVE blue/green/grey colors.
I got the "actors who had to lose extreme weight" video recommended as well! Maybe they mention knitwear haha. I also have a lot of Lore in my stash-- Im inspired to pull it out and knit it up!
I’m really enjoying the lore!
Love all your projects🥰 The alpenglow looks amazing! Thank you for another fun and inspirational podcast😊
Thank you for watching!!!
Hi Kaci! Another great show, and made me laugh with the "I am not a catastrophizer" bit. I just watched Sari's podcast yesterday, and she showed her new sweater, and I said to myself I bet Kaci is going to test knit that... and sure enough. Thanks again for all the smiles! ~Trish
She is an amazing designer!
My grandmother called her Pear preserves Pear Honey. It’s a favorites memory.
That sounds like a good name!
Yes, YT can recommended some weird stuff! Catastrophizer is my new favorite word. 🤭 Love the cabled sweater.
If it’s not a word it should be!
Loved watching this episode. Must have been scary finding mice in your car. 🐀🐀🐀😱. We have a cat who brings live mice, voles and rabbits into the house (we also live on a farm) it freaks me out 🤣. Your Alpenglow is looking great 👍
Your podcast is so inspirational! I love the projects you’re working on… the pressed flowers shawl looks so great in those colors! And holy moly the colors palette of your Alpine Glow is chefs kiss, that red and gold is everythinggggg ❤❤❤
Thank you Taylor!!!!!
Love the podcasts I’m trying to catch up on all of them. Have you ever used Knit Picks’ Wool of the Andes? I have some worsted and sport for a couple projects, and hoped to hear someone else’s thoughts. Thank you
Your HUMOR is hilarious…. Fun to watch. We have an abundant fig harvest this year. I’ve made fig sauce, which is just like apple sauce, and fig jam. I use the reduced sugar SureJel…. 3.5 cups of sugar has to be better than 7 cups, right? Thanks
Fig jam sounds delicious!!!
I hope your cabled sweater fits. I want to knit something with cables this fall as well so started with a sock. My tension is too tight but I have not yet found a way to fix that.
Perhaps go up a needle size?
Good morning! Hope you have a wonderful day. Love your editing, always cracks me up 😂
Thank you for watching!!!
I forgot about the pressed flower shawl. Yours is just beautiful! I have total fomo. Tell me kno because I have too many wipes and need to finish a few first. I’m having the first days of sweater weather here and have two remaining sweater castons left over from spring I’ve got to pick back up. Then I’ll reward myself with a yummy pressed flower shawl as a reward. Thanks for the inspiration! Happy knitting….
It really is an enjoyable knit! I hear the rows get long at the end but so far so good!
Thank you Kaci that was great
Thank you for watching!
The pear preserves you and your mama make is delicious! Your cabled sweater is GORGEOUS. Send me a link to the UA-cam videos, I can think of 1,000 ways it could all go wrong. They wouldn’t be able to handle this. Yeah, I’m that good. 😂
Are you saying you’re the Queen of Catastrophizing 👸
hi Kaci ! lovely podcast video as always 😊 see you soon 😘
Thank you!
Please share where you bought your leather journals. They are beautiful. Really enjoying your podcast!
I actually got them on Amazon! Haha just search leather journal and the ones I have should come up
Which fall vlogs have you been watching ?
Oh the catastrophizer comments! 😂 You must have your hubby in stitches! (Pun intended)
Cabled knit is GORGEOUS.
Aplenglow is definitely on my list.
He definitely thinks I’m a handful 🤣🤣🤣
@@YoungfolkKnits Ha ha! A delightful handful I’m sure. 😊
great podcast. I love your music. How can I get it too.
Will you share your pear preserve recipe?
Thanks for knitting with me today! ❤
That was hilarious. Loved it. Is it me or have you really upped your game? Always good but now it's amazing. Fabulous music and bits of video. My favourite podcast.
Thank you so much!!!!! ❤
I just finished my pressed flowers (it’s actually on in my photo) after about three months, granted I did do it two repeats shorter because I was just overrrrrr it but it’s so so beautiful
It’s beautiful ❤❤❤❤
@@YoungfolkKnits thank you! Yours is gonna be amazing for sure 🥰
Who are the music artists, I love the knitting and music.
I‘m in northeast Oklahoma!!! We are practically neighbors! Do you sell your honey? If so, where? I’d love to be a supporter!
If your cabled sweater does end up too big, can you give it as a gift to someone in your life? That would be one holiday present checked off…
🙋♀️
Yay a new episode! 😊
Gosh I wish I could make such great content! 😩
Any advice? I’m dipping my toes in the UA-cam waters…and it’s hard not to play the dangerous game of comparison and lose motivation already. 😬
I’ve been podcasting for a year now and I’m still evolving in my content. Im no expert at all but I think 1. Find YOUR style. 2. Work within that style while continuing to evolve and try new things. 3. Have fun. If your having fun people will have fun while they watch ❤
I wish I could not turn the heater on !! But I live in Quebec and it is like -30 celsius degrees in winter 🥴 but I don’t turn it on till mid-October when it is about zero celsius outside
I would love some REALLY cold days we only get down the teens Fahrenheit. Which is cold for us 😅
Um…. did you decide, in the end, that you ARE a catastrophizer? 😂 Your WIPs are beautiful! Im thinking a Pressed Flowers shawl is in my future.
Most definitely 😂
Wow. Can I just say this has quickly become my favorite podcast. Love sitting and knitting with you!
Would love to send you a little gift in the mail to say thank you for sharing - promise I’m not a lunatic! I’m a knitter, spinner, sewist, and new mom who lives in Denver. My mom keeps bees and I love hearing about your bees!
Can I send a message on insta to possibly get a mailing address?
Anywayyyyy thanks for sharing!
That so kind of you! Congratulations on being a new mama!! So exciting! Feel free to message me!
Oh I forgot - have you seen Bridgeton on Netflix? And Sheltand?
Hey! I just found your channel and am loving it. I’m wondering if we live near each other because I live in Arkansas as well! That would be so cool because I need friends. 😅
Is anyone else concerned about the tea cup with no coaster?
Love your projects! My sister has made pear preserves. Do you think you could get your Mom to come on an episode as a guest? That could be fun. 😊
I don’t know if she’d consent haha! But I’d love it
@@YoungfolkKnits 🙅♀️ but 😘😘
I’ve got my yarn to start the Zoisa Wrap, but I’m a little intimidated!
It’s a big knit! But so worth it in the end!!!
