Must Christians daily die to self? And if so, what self?

This video proves from Scripture beyond doubt that dying to self is a mere religious falsehood. God's Word not only does not teach such; but actually contradicts that religious lie. The Bible actually teaches us to build up ourselves (our new selves in Christ) by praying in the Holy Ghost. Ask pastors who teach such if they themselves die to self every day? And if so, to explain how that is accomplished. And to show you from Scripture where that is taught.

“Therefore, we were buried together with him through baptism into his death, so that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too can walk in newness of life. If we were united together in a death like his, we will also be united together in a resurrection like his. As a Christian, our old spirit life as a sinner has been died already with Christ. Christian is not dying daily but new life living with Jesus daily.
