Yes that's all true Iam from the Philippines we even eat without spoon and fork and chopsticks And asians don't let left over food thrown away cause it's use full we don't waste food!
Haha! Yeah, this. I'm horrified by the amount of food some people throw away. Wasting food is such an alien concept. Left overs always get up-cycled. Last night's rice is this morning's breakfast!
it is not alien to throw out food in some western cultures...or the generation i grew up in where my parents came out of the great depression. leftovers are the best and to figure out how to make something new out of them.
Chinese people eating with their mouth open is the real reason World War III starts in the year 2052 when Xi Jinping, still in power, is eating with his mouth open in front of future President DJ Pauly D (who won with 97% of the vote). Xi Jinping had raw live baby birds, fish that is tortured to death with needles over the course of an hour before being put in a blender with the scales and spread onto bread made from cricket flour, and raw tortoise penis served in a bowl that is to be eaten while the tortoise watches was ordered EXTRA squishy and he was chewing RIGHT INTO PRESIDENT DJ PAULY D'S EAR EVERY TIME HE LEANED IN TO TELL HIM A SECRET! Monstruo!
Infires fr ikr I paused in the end if the video when he was smiling and looking down and he looks like the happiest cinnamon roll this world has ever seen.
But in the west, it is considered to be rude, and to some, even disgusting behaviour. People should respect the traditions of the country they are in. A westerner in Asia should expect slurping, and Asians in the west should know that it is better not to slurp to avoid confrontation.
@@petercdowney Nope, they also slurp in South Korea, though not all of them. If you watch several Korean Variety shows like Running Man, and Sixth Sense, you will see the celebrities slurp their noodles( Ramyeon )! After doing some research, this has only started happening in Korea over the past 30 years.
Hahaha I live in Korea and everything except for the hot tea rings true here as well... Altho now that I've been here for 7 yrs and am married to a Korean dude, I do like 90% of that stuff too ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 😂
Not all Chinese food is spicy for example Cantonese food isn't that spicy. Also our family always asks for serving spoons for the dishes in restaurants. Also I tend to eat more of the dishes and less rice in restaurants as the rice is the cheap stuff that fills you up. And we always da-bao left over dishes. As for washing dishes in tea it depends on how clean the restaurant looks.
it depends which region of China you're from. my mother is from the Hunan province and their food is all spicy but my dad's from the Hebei province and their food isn't that spicy
Many "Asians" would "never understand" some of the habits here, either. For instance, for many it would be very poor form to use your chopsticks to serve someone else food. You would either have a separate set just for serving, have the other person serve himself/herself, or in a worst-case scenario use the opposite ends of yours from the ends you put in your mouth.
lildanial1 Exactly. I've seen other videos by these guys, and in their ethnocentric minds "Asian" means "Chinese." Japan and Korea are also in Asia, as are such diverse nations as India, Saudi Arabia, and Indonesia.
i have never seen central chop sticks in korean eating habits and I have seen a lot of dramas and variety shows, it bothers me the feeding or dishing of food on another plate you just ate the chopsticks off or feeding each other, i have a huge problem with that and if i visit im in trouble...dont do this to me. oh the germs
I think another thing is ordering a lot of food and ordering family style. I took my friends to a Chinese restaurant for the first time and my other friend and they just ordered like a personal meal and I was over there ordering different types of noodles, tofu, and rice and they were like 'Wow that's a lot of food!" and I'm like, "Yeah duh. It's for everybody to share."
*Philippines* is a country beside China, Taiwan, Indonesia, Singapore, Korea, Japan, Vietnam but we don't use *COPSTICK* in our daily meal 😁 I'm a Filipino from Philippines
Don't forget the fist-fight at the end over who will pay the bill. This brings back a lot of memories and makes me wonder how I survived living in China for as many years as I did.
You're from Turkey? Just be your self. It doesn't matter where you from. Well,l think it was cool to live in a country that situated in two continents.
ashik adak my kids enjoy when I cook Indian food with roti or naan and they get to eat with their hands. Just had puri for the first time recently - amazing!!
I often visited many friends in college and even now who come from Punjab and would make rice, naan, roti, and of course plenty of curries and stir-fry dishes. We always did it the old way with rice balls, flatbread, and the fingers of the right hand with cool lassi or rooh afza lemonade to drink. Plus having grown up outside Dallas, Texas and now Springfield, Missouri where everyone except us was and often still is from India and Pakistan, it was actually hard to start using silverware. :)
No offend but that's how our Asian parents raise us. Believe it or not, other asian people does it too , just like Chinese people. But a BIG THUMB UP on this vid
Literally me with spicy foods LOL. My friends are all terrified of it and I'm just there like, extra wasabi on that, extra hot oil there, can I get some siracha? also some peppers on the side? Maybe some ghost pepper sauce?
Ruan Steve no, that's not necessarily true. A lot of people do not slurp their noodles in Japan, they actually think it's rude at times too. That's just a misconception honestly
DeepbloodFang In Singapore we eat pig trotters too! I don't really like it because it's fattening but on special occasions, it will be served in big portions xD
We kinda do the same here in Argentina with our cows haha We use everything, nothing goes to waste. We even eat it's organs (grilled they are delicious) xD And the bones, skin and feet are used to do a lot of things too. People used to play with the spine bones in a game called "Taba" :)
I'm from the American South and some like "mountain oysters" or pig testicles, so named for their flavor and location. There's even a saying around here that goes, "We eat everything but the squeal." Also, you're from Estonia, the country that comes off as if Russia and Finland had a kid which is cool. :)
I don't know if it applies to other asian cities, but in hong kong, we have two types of chopsticks when eating dim sums. Black and white, one for taking food from the middle of the table, and one for ourselves.
Lmao you know it's funny, I'm half Japanese but I was born and raised in the US, as were my parents, so I'm really whitewashed and do none of these eating habits. When my totally white boyfriend and I go to eat ramen, he uses chopsticks and I have to use a fork hahaha we get weird looks
nah mike...not all asian people can handle spices....i had an ex-colleague from fujian he ate our Malaysian dishes after 2 mins his face got red and sweating like nobody buisness...then our boss's wife is from sze chuan she handle it like a champ. one time i put 4 birds eye chilli on my own bowl of fried rice my ex-colleague was like omfg and he gave me the look that i was gonna feed him that. LOL
My favourite pork dish. Cutting the large intestine into small pieces. Fry it with oil onion garlic salt turmeric and chilli powder. Cook with water until soft and then add blood of the pig. Lower the flame and let the blood cook. Let the flame on medium heat till oil separates and done. It's so good that I eat it everytime I go home.
that's something I always find funny about us Westerns we think carbs are bad yet Asian people are usually skinny and we think smoking is bad yet Asian people have flawless skin and alot of them smoke
They have different metabolism! Their metabolism is super burning! White metabolism ducks because we need to be active or work out a lot . My Asian friends eat tons of food and are so skinny while I eat like a bird and skip meals to not look chubby
RIP them I got the unlucky asian genes. I have to cut down on rice in order to not look too chubby, and my relatives are always telling me how big I am. Makes me feel sad. Also my little brother is not even an adult yet but he managed to get high blood pressure and tons of acne
Kata rin you can tell if your chubby by squeezing your stomach, if you feel a lot of fat then your chubby. If you don’t feel or grab a lot then your not chubby. Asians say that because it’s mainly used as a joke, it’s not meant to be taken seriously
Kata rin who cares what they think they don’t own your body it’s your choice to make your body as your want if it makes you comfortable and happy nobody can Choose that only you who cares what they think or say that means nothing literally

Omg. So freaking funny when Mike spit out the "fish bones." It takes a lot to make me laugh, but that was hysterical! Way to go Mikey!
Yeah, it was really funny cause I have no idea how to do it but my mum is a pro.

I went to a thai restaurant and got the food thai hot. It wasn't hot enough so I had to put some of my personal pure ghost pepper hot sauce. I have never met somebody who can out spice me.
+SDGlamber5045 lmao Siracha is pfft nothing.... search sambal terasi or just in general sambal
SkippyIkeoh Dude i'm from Ethiopia
I’m starting to think African people and Asian people are literally the same people in different continents lol
Let me take you out to dinner and we can find out 😂
Garrxtt - smooooooth
Garrxtt
*_d a m n_*
How? This is Chinese, not everything Asian. Can you elaborate?
Garrxtt That was smooth lol
I can't live without rice too
My mom never taught me how the eff she inhales fish and exhales the bones. I meticulously peel it all apart.
she'll tell you exactly how bony a fish is. just watch out for them and you're good!
She liiiies! "there's no bones" = "there's a little bit of bones" AND MY THROAT SUFFERS EVERY TIEM
use your tongue to move the bones to your lips. keep the meat in your cheek while you extract all the bones
LOL
HoshiHikari you just gotta feel for the bones and spit em out
I died at the fish bone one lol when ever I eat fish I use my fingers to pick out all the bones while my friend just stuffs the whole thing in her mouth and bones just magically pop out xD
lol do both. it depends big bone easy take out but the small ones be flying
I used to do that until one got stuck in my throat. A little less keen on it, now.
Chew more
I was once like that, then I almost choked on a fish bone...Never again .-.
better be extra careful with fish bone lol
Not everything's relatable bc I dont use chopsticks
I use my hands
#filipino
Yeah, Indonesian people do it too
Indians do that too.
Kamay
#filipino
I thought Filipino use spoon and fork?
Yes that's all true Iam from the Philippines we even eat without spoon and fork and chopsticks
And asians don't let left over food thrown away cause it's use full we don't waste food!
The Philippines is a part of Asia but the people's culture and traditions are all related to the Pacific.
Haha! Yeah, this. I'm horrified by the amount of food some people throw away. Wasting food is such an alien concept. Left overs always get up-cycled. Last night's rice is this morning's breakfast!
commenter78 A good amount of Filipinos are of Chinese heritage actually. Filipino Chinese are very good in preserving traditions and culture
it is not alien to throw out food in some western cultures...or the generation i grew up in where my parents came out of the great depression. leftovers are the best and to figure out how to make something new out of them.
Carl Matthew I'm Filipino
As an Asian, can i say that i absolutely can't eat spicy foods, hehe....
Me too.
YAY IM NOT ALONE
There are others out there! im not alone!
+Natasha Bonifacio my whole family loves eating spicy foods XD
Same and its horrible!
They'd always buy these extra spicey food and expect me to eat it with them😷😷😷
number 2 is so relatable to my parents every time we go out to eat.
Monstruo!
Number four is *l i t e r a l l y* Veronica Wang 😂😂
And number five is literally me. I relate to these, I swear. I love being Asian 😂
I'm all of these. Accept the spicy one I'm pretty weak.
The Troll Bomber X Same!!
The Troll Bomber X Same
The Troll Bomber X ha I’m not can’t relate
I just don’t eat any spicy food right now
I can handle spicy, so long as its not so hot that it can feel like a heart burn
That waiter is quite cute 👀
Infires fr ikr
I paused in the end if the video when he was smiling and looking down and he looks like the happiest cinnamon roll this world has ever seen.

Taesty Kookie sprinkled with Suga YAAAASSSS AHAHHAHHA BTW.. SUGAAAA😍😍😭😭😭😭
Chinese people are like Mexican people so I get ya! When he spit fish bones out I almost spit out my coffee lol
I am Chinese and none of my Chinese friend do that. The video is inaccurate and a shame to my own culture.
***** LMAO!
theaoneone relax
theaoneone bruh it's their take on habits and as a chinese myself, I admit to doing these habits.
theaoneone Have you ever heard of satire?
In most Asian countries, if you slurp your noodles, it’s a compliment to the chef because you’re showing that you enjoy the meal
But in the west, it is considered to be rude, and to some, even disgusting behaviour. People should respect the traditions of the country they are in. A westerner in Asia should expect slurping, and Asians in the west should know that it is better not to slurp to avoid confrontation.
Most?
It's just China and Japan where they slurp noodles as far as I'm aware. Possibly Vietnam as well. But they don't do it in Korea or Singapore.
Me drinking milk
Chinese person idk name eating fish"u got 2 learn the Chinese way splits out fish bones"
Me splits out milk dies
use grammar please
Vivian mei Wong m
Hahaha I live in Korea and everything except for the hot tea rings true here as well... Altho now that I've been here for 7 yrs and am married to a Korean dude, I do like 90% of that stuff too ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 😂
Nice to see you here ㅋㅋㅋ

Not all Chinese food is spicy for example Cantonese food isn't that spicy. Also our family always asks for serving spoons for the dishes in restaurants. Also I tend to eat more of the dishes and less rice in restaurants as the rice is the cheap stuff that fills you up. And we always da-bao left over dishes. As for washing dishes in tea it depends on how clean the restaurant looks.
+ChaosPod and if you are a cantonese, you will always wash dishes in tea before you eat hhhh
+yuan nons I'm Cantonese and I don't do that or my family does
+yuan nons we do use tea to wipe our mouthed in the end though....
Bro I'm Cantonese. And well I agree it isn't very spicy... That's why I ate sambal blachan to EVERYTHING.
it depends which region of China you're from. my mother is from the Hunan province and their food is all spicy but my dad's from the Hebei province and their food isn't that spicy
I thought only my family do wash dishes with hot tea 😂😂
Many "Asians" would "never understand" some of the habits here, either. For instance, for many it would be very poor form to use your chopsticks to serve someone else food. You would either have a separate set just for serving, have the other person serve himself/herself, or in a worst-case scenario use the opposite ends of yours from the ends you put in your mouth.
Depends on which type of Asian you are.
lildanial1 Exactly.
Dan reminds me of Jeremy in the kdrama 'You're Beautiful' with that wig xP
OMG "YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL" was my first kdrama and also my fav
Jeremy? Lol😂😂😂

And MALAYSIA too.
I'm laughing so hard for that eewwww sound effect
Did anyone notice that they ordered 4 dishes, but there were only 3 dishes on the table. xD
They did order four dishes. Except the other diish the beef noodle soup, they got that later at the "Slurps Noodles" part
George C. Yo ur listening skillz r on fleek😂
George C. Yea
ImNotGeorge they had the beef noodles in the slurping noodles scene
I'm European, and plain white rice is amazing!
Blazing KittyHawk same !
Wow, you guys are amazing if you really have just plain rice.
I would put some soy sauce, fish sauce or a small side dish lol.
Anh Duy Nguyễn usually i have it with chicken or meat or fish and sometimes with different sauces but i also love plain rice haha
Yea! Eat that with fried tempe squished on sambal, and I am good to go! :")
Give me rice and that chicken from the Chinese Food Place and I’ll be good
4:08 I've never seen such a nice, genuine smile; my heart is literally melting for the guy in the middle
Don't forget the fist-fight at the end over who will pay the bill. This brings back a lot of memories and makes me wonder how I survived living in China for as many years as I did.
+Matt M and the 'you can pay next time, so it doesn't matter' line after someone have paid xD Or just something like that
I can’t live without rice
I relate to the rice part with all my soul
I am filipino and some things i can relate is the super exotic food, RICE, and the left-overs ahhaa 😂
when your country is both in asia and europe and u dont know if you are western or asian....
yea :D
You're from Turkey? Just be your self. It doesn't matter where you from. Well,l think it was cool to live in a country that situated in two continents.
omg TURKS UNITE!! I feel you
you're middle eastern. like me
yeh europe sure as hell does not want you turks the asians can have you
You guys make me belly laugh. The best kind of laugh. The spitting bones had me roaring with laughter.
I am Indian , I eat food with my Hands . No chopsticks, no Spoon
ashik adak my kids enjoy when I cook Indian food with roti or naan and they get to eat with their hands.
ashik adak Im filipino and I do aswell. It's just more comfortable:D
We filipinos do it too
we Malays the same XD
"i cant live without rice" as a filipina, that is really relatable, especially the fish bone part 😂
Asians eating noodles, um yeah we eat noodles with out talking.😁😁😁
Clicked the notification so fast!
Same
+Mamamoo Trash I see Monie and MAMAMOO ~~
yo
No offend but that's how our Asian parents raise us. Believe it or not, other asian people does it too , just like Chinese people. But a BIG THUMB UP on this vid
The rice one is relatable. As one of the only Asians in my class, my friends are shocked at how much rice I could eat
Scrubbing chopsticks is a really asian thing to do
Seeing all that rice made me really want some jasmine rice...
Literally me with spicy foods LOL. My friends are all terrified of it and I'm just there like, extra wasabi on that, extra hot oil there, can I get some siracha? also some peppers on the side? Maybe some ghost pepper sauce?
Mom: Ok baby we are going in a fancy noodle restaurant so act like a proper lady!
Me: 2:48
Mom: *sermons*
Who the hell doesn't slurp their noodles?!?!
Karvin we don't do that here in Mexico, it's consider to be bad manners if you slurp your noodles, plus it sounds disgusting 😷
Maley View I don't... the sound is just disturbing to me.
AnimeFANGIRL201 Actually in Japan slurp their noodle consider a polite way but in China it is very rude.
Ruan Steve no, that's not necessarily true. A lot of people do not slurp their noodles in Japan, they actually think it's rude at times too. That's just a misconception honestly
Viets don't slurp their noodles in front of elders. I guess you can do it when you're out eating with friends
I'm a westerner and we eat pigs feet and ears all the time, we even make childrens toys out of the bones from the feet.
DeepbloodFang err country?
Estonia, a small country in north-eastern Europe.
DeepbloodFang In Singapore we eat pig trotters too! I don't really like it because it's fattening but on special occasions, it will be served in big portions xD
We kinda do the same here in Argentina with our cows haha
We use everything, nothing goes to waste. We even eat it's organs (grilled they are delicious) xD
And the bones, skin and feet are used to do a lot of things too.
i love this channel even though am not asian
I don't know if it applies to other asian cities, but in hong kong, we have two types of chopsticks when eating dim sums. Black and white, one for taking food from the middle of the table, and one for ourselves.
Coming from a Mexican family, we do almost all of these too!
I had to immediately rewind that bone spitting! 😂
This is inaccurate. The white guy is using chopsticks.
Don't worry I'm kidding
Lmao you know it's funny, I'm half Japanese but I was born and raised in the US, as were my parents, so I'm really whitewashed and do none of these eating habits. When my totally white boyfriend and I go to eat ramen, he uses chopsticks and I have to use a fork hahaha we get weird looks
+Brandee Michelle Nice :)
I have those exact bowls.
2:43 lmao
The rice part is true. I ate two bowls of rice a day since I was 5 and right now being 14 I'm only 42 kg
but how tall are you?
nah mike...not all asian people can handle spices....i had an ex-colleague from fujian he ate our Malaysian dishes after 2 mins his face got red and sweating like nobody buisness...then our boss's wife is from sze chuan she handle it like a champ. one time i put 4 birds eye chilli on my own bowl of fried rice my ex-colleague was like omfg and he gave me the look that i was gonna feed him that.
It's so good that I eat it everytime I go home.
when you're country is Asian and European...
Russia?
Russia has european customs and has brought those Slavic customs to other nations in Asia that live in the Federation.
i wonder what are Russians are they european or asian
Olav Wiik Moland European they just like conquering Asians.
TURKEY you all got it wrong
Exotic is Southern? Pigs ears and feet is delicious. Birds nest soup is good... and spicy omg I'm asian lol
"I can't live without rice". So true.
"It's already spicy"
Me: "I hear HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE "
that's something I always find funny about us Westerns we think carbs are bad yet Asian people are usually skinny and we think smoking is bad yet Asian people have flawless skin and alot of them smoke
Smoking is very bad. It may not reflect outside but it takes its toll inside
Waiters eyebrows and eye makeup is ON FLEEK
+liefek lol! I'm not wearing anything! but thanks
+Sunny Fok take it as a compliment! great skin :-)
+Sunny Fok omg, you are frikkin hot!
Y'all said licking chopsticks was bad, though!
+Mareepu That's the exact same thing I was thinking! They said it was rude or whatever
I think they were using it as an exaggeration mechanism to show what people who aren't use to the habit of sharing food via chopsticks.
That is why expensive restaurants in Hong Kong have two chopsticks
+CanOfMinus yeah I do everything else but not the using my chopsticks to share food. especially when someone is rocking a canker sore.
Everyone in my home has two pairs of chopsticks while eating
One is for eating food in our bowl
One is for picking up food from the plates into our bowl
HAHAHAHA OMG "You gotta learn the Chinese way" had me in stitches!!!!!!!
