I was in china for over 4 years teaching English, when the school had a meal for the foreign teachers, one of the bosses(didn't speak English) kept putting food on my plate or even putting it in my mouth for me, I was so shocked, this never happens in the UK. another of the bosses(who could speak English) could see the confusion on my face, she said "she likes you) I was so embarrassed as for the eating of noodles, in China they would eat the noodles faster than that, they just inhale them, i have seen a whole bowl of noodles gone in 5 seconds or less
This reminds me of the time when I was eating at this restaurant and this lady kept on coming over to fill my glass with soft drink every time it got HALF empty. It was certainly nice for a while until the 5th time around where I had enough and thereby politely told her I don't want anymore due to being really full. She gave me the biggest scowl and felt like I was being rude for refusing.

The Asians paying the bill one is the only one which was actually understating it slightly lol you should see what it's like when my family goes out with friends and such
When my parents go out with friends my dad will get up to "use the restroom" grab the waitress and pay the check then come back like nothings happened. Pisses his friends off unless one of them does it first.
Me too I remember after we finished eating, my dad was about to take out his wallet and suddenly his friend said "it's ok I'll pay" then my dad said "it's fine I'll pay" and when the waitress came back with the bill they both took out their cards that are used to pay for the bill but his friend was first but his card was expired so my dad laughed and payed the bill. But it was not a big fight it was kinda like a friendly who will be first. Man good times
HAHAHA Asians fighting over a check. Literally the most frugal people on earth. "You had two more noodles though so you should put in twenty more cents." Is more more like it
yeah for most of us half the dinner is an argument "no no no its fine ill pay it its ok see i ordered more its fine im paying *30 mins later* ok alright fine you can pay *slips twice the bill amount into other persons wallet*"
@@adivasantharao66 Nah, that's too straightforward. You stalk that person and pay for the meal. When that person ask the bill, got shown bill is paid, look for the payer and you just sit there, pretend to just notice the glance, and raise hand a little bit.

Angel Albano It's exaggerated for comedic effect. Like the scene where they need water but one of then dies from the spice. It's a hilarious technique when done right. Like these guys did.
I actually get annoyed when waiters keep coming to the table to ask if the food is good. Like just let me enjoy my food and stop interrupting my happyness😂
It's true. I'm Asian and I hate when the waiters keep coming and asking. My thinking:"when I need, I'll ask!" Anyway, I always leave 25-50% in tip though (not in Asia)
Not me as I love it when the waiters are actually doing their jobs and coming over every once in a while to ask how everything is going. I absolutely hate having to leave my table to track down my waiter to ask for a refill or to ask for our check. Asian restaurants I've been too, especially authentic ones, have mostly horrible service and I only see them 3 times, once to take my order, once when my foods come and once when they bring the bill. I could be dying and they'll probably not even notice.
+CNVideos My family always does this when we eat out. We each other a different dish and when our orders arrive, we each eat a bit off each others' plates. That way, we eat a bit of everything.

Fighting for the bill at the end is soooo old fashion ... only I can see that happen if you eat with the older generation. the younger generation doesn't do that anymore. but I gotta say the waitress n water scene is absolutely spot on. n if you speak Mandarin or Cantonese ... the waiters gonna ignore you, and if you speak English, they ignore you too because they pretend they don't understand. LOL ~
im indonesian chinese, and my boyfriends still do this thing, they always try to pay the bill. but girls always count accurately for each people to pay 😂
Chinese here, whenever we have family friends along there's always a short argument between my parents and theirs on who pays the bill with each side saying "no no let me pay". For me I usually just split or just pay for my portion if I can.
I noticed the difference in leaving food. Asians will try their best to finish the plate and leaving nothing in it even if they're full and I think this comes out of respecting but westerners will have plenty of leftover
Loewen haha wow, this is my first time I know this. I mean I have many Chinese friends and everyone told me a different story about finishing the food. Chinese parents are tricky :p
+Loewen It is strange i also grew up believing that but recently after hanging out with some international Chinese students, they leave a LOT of leftovers behind! But then again they are really wealthy so that could also be a reason why.

My friend says it's not because the restaurant servers are jerks but because Asian families are so demanding of servers in restaurants by comparison. Do you guys find that to be true?
+deathlightdb In my experience as a Chinese-American teen whose family usually goes to Chinese food places whenever we eat out, yes, it's rather true. More than once I've had to cringe at how much more demanding my parents are of the wait staff than the other families sitting at tables around us. A busy restaurant in a Chinatown frequented mostly by Asian families is NOT a place I'd like to work at. There's rich culture and great food to be found in genuine Chinese restaurants, but they're places where waiting on tables can often be terrible for the poor employees.
Thanks for answering! I'm glad to learn that it's probably mostly demanding customers taking the server's time, and not discrimination based. I do live in an area I would describe as 'rednecky' and I wondered if the other Western customers were so rude or crass that it had created some distance. It's nice to realize that that's probably not the case. I'm ALWAYS in the restaurants where there are big family gatherings.. usually Chinese or Vietnamese families.

bozy99 I'm Asian and I don't like it when others pay for me because I feel guilty for others paying for me and splitting the bill is absolutely uncomfortable. Also paying it myself is easier but if I'm low on money then I'll reluctantly let them pay at least half but not all of it.

I and some friends went into a 'real' Chinese restaurant a few years ago here in downtown Toronto and were flabbergasted as the family at the next table began to pull their own soft drinks and condiments out of their purses and bags. Yet in the back of my brain, it was like, what a great idea! lol
As a white guy i can confirm i hate sharing, nothing drives me more crazy then going out on lets say a date to eat and i order a soup and a second dish, the girl orders just a salad, aaaaaaaand then eats all my fries and half my stake, its like wtf im paying for this anyway why not order enough for your self, now im still hungry and the movie is starting in 20 minutes so there is no time to order more, BAH! >:(
+violinplayer I'm a girl as well and when we go out for dinner it is either japanese, Chinese or korean so we all order that our dishes match and everyone eats from everything. if I want to diet than I can do it at home. It's very common in The Netherlands to split the bill (and we get joked about for it too), but it's usually in scenarios when you're just together with friends. If you ask someone out and at the last minute ask to split the bill it's regarded as a dick move :p
4:48 - Exaggerated but so true! I used to work in Beijing and whenever my coworkers and I are out for lunch or breakfast, it's like a long debate on who gets to pay (primarily because almost everyone keeps on offering to pay.)😅
Im Asian but I dont eat my noodles using chopsticks, I use fork. I do check the stars and reviews of restos before I intend to visit it. I split bills with my friends, unless one of us says its his/her treat. In regards with the service, it depends on the resto. The reason they get bad service was they chose a poorly reviewed resto just like they did not care enough on the beginning- including the service of water, tissues and rechecking if the food is good. Although, I do prefer if the waiters dont come as often as some Western Restos and Asian restos do know not to approach the customers table unless called.
The check part is so true for my family, they had an argument over who would pay the 500 dollar bill for the party, almost all the adults were saying “no I’ll pay” or “it’s my pleasure”

bozy99 I'm Asian and I don't like it when others pay for me because I feel guilty for others paying for me and splitting the bill is absolutely uncomfortable. Also paying it myself is easier but if I'm low on money then I'll reluctantly let them pay at least half but not all of it.
I'm asian, my friends are asian, and we always throw the bill to each other lol
What the hell kind of white people you know that talk like that? LOL
rich stuck up ones maybe...
Robert Nicholson You need to check your sense of humor

lol, the bloomers! oh by the way you should use a spoon to get the spaghetti noodles on the fork, not a knife...….love the video, and the others as well. I"ve been watching yalls channel almost non stop for the past 3 days!

Y’all got me craving spaghetti at nine in the morning, awesome video!
Omg! I laughed my ass off - you guys are great! I and some friends went into a 'real' Chinese restaurant a few years ago here in downtown Toronto and were flabbergasted as the family at the next table began to pull their own soft drinks and condiments out of their purses and bags. Yet in the back of my brain, it was like, what a great idea! lol
THE ORANGES LMAOOOO
6:40 thats why chopsticks are the best
As a white guy i can confirm i hate sharing, nothing drives me more crazy then going out on lets say a date to eat and i order a soup and a second dish, the girl orders just a salad, aaaaaaaand then eats all my fries and half my stake, its like wtf im paying for this anyway why not order enough for your self, now im still hungry and the movie is starting in 20 minutes so there is no time to order more, BAH! >:(
+Blake Kaveny oh come on you know it is never just one fry, and never same amount of food, the „the im on a diet act” has to be upheld at all cost...
+violinplayer I'm a girl as well and when we go out for dinner it is either japanese, Chinese or korean so we all order that our dishes match and everyone eats from everything. if I want to diet than I can do it at home. What's the point in going out for dinner and not have what you really want because of a stupid act. I mean who cares.
you sound so much like joey from friends 😂😂😂😂😂
Oh damn, i need to watch firends some day i used to love that show :)
Dang what kind of girls are you asking out. Lol burger and fries yesssss! You want to share an appetizer? Lol Better bring your wallet bc I'm going to eat and let's get popcorn at the movie theatre Hahahaha
Lol This was great. I kept laughing.
When time permits, I request a viewing of my interview of 57 & a half minutes at a top of my FB page, entailing info - many lack discernment of. Only an entirety of the film - has much to offer. Thanks for your time, & have a great day.
Let's all count the amount of times in this video that Mike has said " splendid" 😂😂
you roll your pasta with a spoon and fork not a knife lol
In Hong Kong, you will need to buy a pack of tissue yourself, not all restaurants provide you napkins.
I am an arab and most of my friends are Chinese. We go out alot and this is soooooo accurate 😂😂❤️❤️
Great team works guy , it's funny and entertaining.. keep up the work.
Pls dont call me weird but i use chopsticks for eating pasta like its ramen...at home.... and i slurp it to.....pls dont be offended

Erina Tan ☝🏼
I eat cheese fussili with my hand
That's not weird. That's how we all eat
DO PEOPLE ACTUALLY SPLIT THE CHECK? IS THAT A THING?
Julie Loeung it is now
Julie Loeung it depends on the economic status of the parties involved. If you have pleanty of money you dont normally split the check.
Yes it is
It's very common in The Netherlands to split the bill (and we get joked about for it too), but it's usually in scenarios when you're just together with friends. If you ask someone out and at the last minute ask to split the bill it's regarded as a dick move :p
My husband and friends do. My husband pays for the two of us and friends pay for their portions; unless someome is treating all.
Although, I do prefer if the waiters dont come as often as some Western Restos and Asian restos do know not to approach the customers table unless called.
not East Asian, I presume?
I'm from SEA nation.
+Palemoonable pinay ka, 'no?

Palemoonable you r no longer asian

The Asian fighting for the bill was literally my mom and her bfffff
Do Asians actually photograph that way
Yes, yes they do. My parents are crazy about it😂
yes,but not so crazy.
yus, my mom and my other family relatives take a picture of the food first, it is su annoying ;-;

The fighting over the bill...my mom and her sister...and they were Italian lolol.
The check part is so true for my family, they had an argument over who would pay the 500 dollar bill for the party, almost all the adults were saying “no I’ll pay” or “it’s my pleasure”
splendid! 😆
oranges..they are ONLY dessert for you
The funny thing is my family is more like the Asian one and we are 100% western
the asian restaurant service was too relatable
