I like how you said, "Buy quality -- but buy quality you can afford." Great advice. I like the Le Blev Ciel jacket best; then the green one; and the last Black one.
I LOVE Clark’s shoes! I can take them right out of the box and wear them all day long without ANY problems. I don’t even have to break them in. In fact, today I received some navy blue leather loafers that I’d ordered. They cost a little more but they are worth it. A tweed or boucle jacket is on my list of items to purchase.
Absolutely love this video. My tweed jackets have always been less worn, but now I am exited to style them differently. Thanks for giving me some “outside the box” ideas!
I always love your videos, so inspiring, so positive: I am beginning now to be satisfied with my outfits, with what I can afford as you say, because you teach me to choose every single piece very accurately. I am so grateful, thankyou!
Hi Marie-Anne, I enjoy very much watching all your fashion videos. This one is one of my favorites and I am still watching it in 2022! All the tweed jackets that you showed in this video look so nice.Thank you🌷
I was waiting for your friday video. "Buy quality you can afford". That's a very wise advice. My favourite tweed jackets are the blue one and the black one. They really look great with jeans, your black cachemire turtleneck sweater and black Clarks ankleboots. I would like more videos about how wearing jeans.Thank you for the video, Marie-Anne.
I think your tweed jackets all looked beautiful paired with jeans. Maybe it's because they have a more casual textured vibe. Great video as always Marie-Anne!
I am in LOVE with the red, blue and green ones! Tweed is a huge favorite for me (dare I say, obsession), and pairing those with denim for an elevated everyday look is just scrumptious!
Hi Marie. Just yesterday I discovered your channel by watching your Hermès scarf. I trully love Parisian style, today I bought a beautiful tweed jacket. I can't wait to style it with a light blue jeans. Thank you for inspiration, greetings from Poland.
Hi Marie-Anne! I adore your black tweed jacket - it is really gorgeous! I have 5 tweed jackets I’ve collected over the years myself: teal, grey and black; red, silver and black; and black, white and grey for the winter (my beloved Michael Kors) and for spring/summer: turquoise and ivory; pastel pink with other pastel colors; and a deeper pink and taupe. They are all a little different in style and feel with different finishings and those little details you talk about. I wear mine with white jeans or casual linen in the summer and black jeans or leather pants or a leather skirt in the winter. I agree with you about the the juxtaposition of the casual and dressy to stay stylish at a certain age 😉. I love love love tweed! I have to stop myself from buying more because I already have enough 😂! 😘🤗
I adore the black jacket. It would be stunning with black jeans, a classic circle pin (orr Roman style shoulder brooch) and baroque pearls. I also like the navy jacket with the denim accents.
Bonjour Marie Ann. I like the red jacket the most. I love red. The blue one is also beautiful. You look gorgeous in all 5 jackets. Very good recommendations. Have a nice Valentine's Day. Greetings, Ewa
Every time you bring your green tweed jacket out, I marvel at its beauty. First, the structure of it---the shorter length, nipped in waist, vertical seams in front and back...exquisite. And then, the thick edge stitching and precious embroidery...scrumptious. As you always say, it's all in the details. If the embroidery were on both sides of the torso, I would probably find it too matronly, but the restrained way in which it's been done it's just perfect. I'm a super fan, even though I don't usually favor that shade of green. It's just perfect as it is!
All of the jackets are beautiful. I think my favorite one is the red one. Which is your favorite? I like short jackets best. Then the blue, as I wear denim color a lot. And your tip about taking the pants cuff down on a longer jacket is great advice. Thank you. Jeans, turtle neck and blazer/jacket is casual yet polished.
I have a very clever work colleague who is an Op-Shop Queen. She just gifted me two fantastic tweed jackets; one of which I will be wearing out to dinner when we travel to very cosmopolitan Melbourne Victoria next weekend. So excited to put into practice your tips. Merci from Australia!
I love jackets and wear them all the time. I have an issue with wearing them in the winter because its hard to get the winter coat to fit over them without looking like the Michelin man- any suggestions. I find the that wearing a coat draped over your shoulders without putting your arms in the sleeves as Melania Trump often does is stylish but not practical-thank you
Thank you for this lovely video on tweed jackets. My issue is the climate in which I live: the Arizona desert! I do love blazers, though, and there is a (secret) used clothing store to which wealthy women donate gorgeous pieces here in Tucson. I find lovely, versatile blazers that I wear to my church, and I have received the nicest complements. Again, I so appreciate your videos. God bless!
Love your video, as always. Being on the short side, I like jackets/blazers that end between the waist and the leg break, at the longest. I haven’t bought any in the last year because they have all been too long, straight, boxy and oversized, I practically disappear in those! I’m happy to see that a few brands are finally offering shorter, more fitted, nipped-in waist styles, they are so much more flattering. I need all the illusion of a smaller waist that I can get, being shaped like a column!
I'm with you. I'm 5ft 4 inches and look like I'm drowning in a man's jacket. Doesn't help my legs are short too. I went vintage and second hand for my jackets. They have a lot more construction to them.
That would be a good video - different lengths for different body types. Some jackets have sleeves the same length as the jacket or longer than the jacket or shorter than the jacket.
Cute jeans, nice cut, straight with just a slight taper. I welcome the new, slightly looser fit jeans, skinnies are always so uncomfortable. I have kept mine for wearing tucked into knee-high boots, as is trending (but, I tend to keep items for a long time, until they look dated). I’m going to revisit my Chanel-style jackets, they haven't got enough wear yet this winter, I think because the colors are better for late winter, early spring, now is the time. I still need winter-weight fabrics, but want to lighten up the colors.
what a useful video for me, i love the red and navy just never been brave enough to buy red tweed, i have a similar white one that doesnt look right , then realised its the buttons, it has two high up that make me look wider, cut them off and its better, also tucked in the pocket flaps which helped. im a rectangle so it may be too boxy for me . going to take some time to decide . tweed and denim looks lovely .
You might be able to have someone shape it a bit for you. Talk to a good seamstress or tailor and ask what they think they could do to it and if worth it.
*LOVE all of the outfits* !! *FAB tweed jackets* !! *Prefer the blue, black and red tweed jackets* !! *You give such SAGE advice Marie-Anne* !! #MarieAnneLeCoeur
When I decluttered last, I only kept the Chanel-esque blazer bc it went with jeans or dressy clothes...of course I thought “Would Marie-Anne keep it?...”😂💗 Wise choice. Love that dark blazer...u definitely wear the color well💐
I thought I'd try a new color and bought a vintage Jonathan Michael tweed jacket in green. It has the same "vibe" as your green jacket. I was inspired to try some more green after I bought an olive pleated skirt. I was wondering about wearing it with jeans and there you are! A lot of our stores are still closed here in America so I was trying out some of the second hand retailers that are on the internet. I got my jacket from threadup.com. They have some very nice quality pieces at a fraction of the cost. I also purchased two silk blouses for under $15.00 each and a black silk turtleneck. It's cold and snowing weekly here in South Eastern Pennsylvania and I wanted a thin layering piece. My "new" pieces are so much nicer than what I am use to, I love them. I love your videos too, thanks.
Bonjour Marie Anne, I have several jackets, and recently bought a man's tweed jacket, by mistake actually, in a charity shop!!! It's dark navy with browns and creams inside the thread, very nice with my indigo jeans.. Love that green and blue jackets btw! Have a great weekend paula in sussex
Bonjour Marie-Anne! This video showed up from 2 years ago. 😂 I love the green and the blue jackets. I think tweed would be to warm for our climate. My favorite jacket from my closet is purple. Love you, my beautiful friend. 💋
Hello Marie-Anne! I loved today's video. I enjoyed all of the looks, all of your jackets are beautiful. My favourite looks are the outfits using the black, and cream jackets. I love the Clarks boots! Clarks are one of my favourite shoe brands besides LK bennett.
Great video, thank you! The only tweed jacket I have at the moment was my Mum's. It's a mix of cream and black (or perhaps, very dark brown, it's hard to tell) with a lapel and 4 pockets a bit in safari style. I usually wear it with brown, powder pink, cream or black turtlenecks in winter, or shirts in those colours when it's warmer. For some reason it looks very British and timeless, and it also looks great with jean! My Mum also had a green jacket and skirt "tailleur" very similar to yours in shape and shade of green, but without the leaves and beads and it was one of her favourites :) I miss wearing jackets and blazers, with the lockdown they're not needed indoors and to go out we usually need warm coats outdoors, even though I'm in Greece. And right now it is snowing! :)
Bonjour Marie Anne I really enjoyed this video and I really enjoyed how you styled the Channel style jacket and just making it casually chic :) God Bless you Josephine:)
Bonjour Marie-Anne, I especially liked the Blue Tweed jacket. Maybe because I have never seen a blue tweed. I did buy an off white tweed short jacket from Talbots and now I think I will wear it with my straight jeans. Merci for giving me the confidence.
Great video--thank you for reminding me that you can wear jackets with jeans. I keep thinking it's only for dressy pants. Love the look. I will wear my jackets more often--I do like wearing jeans more and more.
Hi Marie-Anne, I loved your video on blazers, jeans and boots! It is my look for sure and love to wear it. Your shape is almost identical to mine so easy to relate to. I'm tall and always thought when you wore a short blazer, you wear a longer length pant and vice a versa. Such wonderful fashion tips! Thanks ☺️
Love this video! I have a Brooks Brothers short fitted wine colored tweed jacket that I bought years ago.. I have gain a bit of weight so it’s just a bit too tight around the chest, but I refuse to give it away....I hope to fit in it one day! I do love a red lipstick and your MAC lipstick is inspiring me to go put on my Nars Banned Red lipstick!
Hello Marie-Anne, I love love just love the green jacket 🐨🦘🇦🇺 very good advice on buying quality that you can afford’ my favourite jacket is my cream Chanel boucle jacket, bought from an op shop. I hope I will be able to wear when I am very old😂Anne-Marie
Another great video Marie-Anne I particularly liked the red and blue jackets very chic but having said that I really liked them all. I would like to comment on your jeans I think they looked much better turned down not cuffed as they didn't cut the leg that way, just my opinion but as I've said before you would look good in a paper bag. Hope your Mum is feeling OK. Hugs from Sydney Australia.xx
I am very fortunate to be good friends with donald john mackay so I have 2 lovely harris tweed jackets hand made by a tailor in glasgow - it is surprisingly not as expensive as you might imagine - the tweed itself is less expensive than the cost of making it - but I will wear these jackets all my life - unless I get too fat!
I found the video with the black boots. It’s called “5 slimming outfits with jeans and jackets.” If you advance it to 2:19, there they are. Any ideas of where to buy them?
Thank you for this. I like the fringed edges on the read jacket...it looks a bit more "edgy" that way. But if I was going to get ONE...I'd probably get the black one...hopefully with fringed hems!
…and like I mentioned earlier, “Magic” where the jackets are from, don’t ship internationally. I live in Montreal, Canada. Any ideas of where to buy them? Thank you Marie…
I love your comment, 'the price of a car for Chanel'! I love your green jacket best, as it is similar to the colours I like, I have a brown flecked jacket (from New Look), although old, it still works, and a tan one. Also a big believer that even on a smaller budget, it is possible to look stylish (a work in progress for me!)
I absolutely love tweed jackets, but as I am only 5 foot tall the choice is limited unfortunately. Love all of your jackets and the red and cream are my favourites, you always look neat and elegant and I have loved your style for years. But when I was younger I was silly enough to be influenced by friends and current fashions so have a wardrobe full of cloths that don't suit me 😄 So now I have a good reason for a de clutter and some new considered purchases 😅 Thank you Marie Anne.
They’re all lovely jackets Marie-Anne. They all work. It’s hard to choose a favourite but I think the red suits you beautifully with the whole outfit. It’s a pretty red and very flattering on you. Looks like a cherry red. Is that correct? I also like the blue jacket with denim trim with the outfit. I’m not a fan of turned up jeans, except as a very casual look with something like a white t-shirt.
Thank you for the information Marie-Anne.You look fabulous in every outfit. I have a Chanel inspired blazer that was my mother's. I never thought to wear it with jeans. 💗 We have been home for so long. But, today is Mardi Gras, 💜💚💛 We are going to a steakhouse. 🍷 I may try this look.
Love love love this video Absolutely good Thks Marieanne All outfits R gorgeous, wearable & simple nb: what kind of bag 💼 do u wear with these items( passe partout) bag
Dear Marie-Anne. I look forward to your videos each week. As someone who cannot wear any clothing on my waist., I am always disappointed when the topic contains jeans or trousers. Please know your videos are a top favourite of mine.
I prefer the red and the blue tweed jacket. I love your casual jeans outfit :) Excactly my taste. You are totally right with the green one, it could look mumsy with the wrong outifit. Navy and black doesn't work together? Are there any exceptions?
Do you think this style works well for petites or do you think it tends to be too bulky? Short jackets don't work well on me because I am so long waisted, but I am concerned the tweed might be too much fabric in a longer length. OMG Clarks boots! So chic!
The green jacket is absolutely beautiful!
I like how you said, "Buy quality -- but buy quality you can afford." Great advice. I like the Le Blev Ciel jacket best; then the green one; and the last Black one.

Thank you for the information Marie-Anne.You look fabulous in every outfit. I have a Chanel inspired blazer that was my mother's. I never thought to wear it with jeans. 💗
We have been home for so long. But, today is Mardi Gras, 💜💚💛

Dear Marie-Anne. I look forward to your videos each week. As someone who cannot wear any clothing on my waist., I am always disappointed when the topic contains jeans or trousers. Please know your videos are a top favourite of mine.
These jackets are beautiful and I like the style but I'm pear-shape and boxy jackets do nothing for me. Do they make them more fitted?
@@MarieAnneLecoeur Thank you So much! I love watching your videos.
I prefer the red and the blue tweed jacket. I love your casual jeans outfit :) Excactly my taste. You are totally right with the green one, it could look mumsy with the wrong outifit. Navy and black doesn't work together? Are there any exceptions?
I have a red tweed jacket
I style it with white silk shirt and dark was blue jeans with black ankle boots
Do you think this style works well for petites or do you think it tends to be too bulky? Short jackets don't work well on me because I am so long waisted, but I am concerned the tweed might be too much fabric in a longer length. OMG Clarks boots! So chic!
