A lot of great outfits. I loved the red skirt and the polka dot scarf. I have several turtlenecks, including black. I will try wearing them with a jacket.
Marie-Anne such a fun video. French ladies have such lovely style. Chic! Thank you for such fun ideas. Would you consider doing a video on your skin care routine. Your complexion is beautiful. Merci.
My grandmother always said that a modestly-priced item in black will most often look better than a more expensive item in another colour, and will keep looking good for several seasons/years. Yes, black can be a bit too dark for some people, but I follow your mantra of “do what YOU like and what works for YOU.” I have turtlenecks in black and navy, and lighter ones in red, purple, and grey. Wardrobe staples for me.
Bonjour Marie-Anne, this UA-cam is my 1st video with you. Love your style and energy. You’ve shown us how to get mileage from a few good basic pieces and how it’s worth spending more for good clothing. Look forward to seeing more of your ideas. Connie 🇨🇦
Very nice indeed, love this classic sophistication of grey, black, white and only just a wee touch of colour to accent. All lovely. Many thanks for your share here.
Dear Ms. Lecoeur: This video is one of my favorites of all of your videos: I love how you chat with us and ask, "What do you think, please?" I love this recognition of the audience, the inclusion of us; it makes it more cozy and intimate, as though we are in your closet with you, sharing your great tips. Everything you wear looks so classy and chic. You make a red leather skirt look elegant! Keep doing these chatty, cozy videos, please! Natalia Miles Arizona
It's a pleasure watching you Marie-Anne! You have real fun trying on these outfits and the fun is very contagious! Love turtlenecks, but unfortunately, they don't love me back as they draw attention to my neck which is not as pretty as it was years ago:)
I have loved turtleneck sweaters since I was a child, they actually became my signature. However when the weather began to change here in my country, I stopped wearing them. Two years ago I found them made in new fabrics, more breathable, fresh and beautiful and decided to give them another chance. I am in love again with them! Turtleneck sweaters will always make you look chic and dressed without being too much and when the weather gets colder, they are perfect! Beautiful video Marie-Anne!
This is absolutely perfect! I'm currently off the road because of family reasons. I'm working in a factory now. I wear a uniform at work but out in town or even going into work, I try to dress as you taught me in that video. With it getting colder in Illinois, I wear turtle necks under my uniforms and this gabe me more ideas on how to wear them in to look French chic! Merci beaucoup!
I really like the charcoal wool trousers with the tweed jacket and scarf! I wear black most of the time because I draw with charcoal everyday. Black is very practical and black turtlenecks are my favorite type of sweater.
Marie-Anne such a delightful video. I enjoyed the trying on and comments, so real, like thinking out loud. French ladies have such lovely style. I would love a video about your skin care. Your complexion tion
Such wonderful examples of classic unfussy style. I'm trying to experiment as you say, trying different, new combinations.. I find this video extremely helpful and inspirational. Thank you so much.
Such an inspiring video! I have stayed away from black since I got older, but now I may try it again. Your red lipstick makes every outfit pop beautifully.
I love❤ turtle neck sweaters...it's a classic look that works for me too! That black & white scarf is very chic 👄 and a beautiful addition to the French chic capsule.🗼
Wow, you are able to mix and match everything so beautifully to make fabulous outfits. Everything works perfectly because you have curated your wardrobe with wonderful, stylish pieces. You are the best!
Lovely inspiring video as always, Marie-Anne. I've always loved turtlenecks and have just purchased a Lilysilk one for myself and a Christmas present for my daughter in law. I love the versatility of a black turtleneck and a complete black outfit head to toe. I used to think that was boring, but now think it is very chic, especially if you add shoes with a different texture, as you have. Thanks for your inspiration!
The first outfit is hot a hell! It suits you perfectly. Every winter I wear my black turtelnecks from November til February. I layer them mostly with satin tunics or wear them with matching cardingans Great video! Thank you for sharing.
Bonjour Marie-Anne! I really love turtle neck sweaters and they are a staple of my winter wardrobe, so I really enjoyed your video! What I like to do best is a monochrome look with a wool blazer, like you did with the black blazer. I thought that looked fantastic on you! I like tall boots with mine-- I think that is a sexy look with skinny jeans. But just simple pumps are great too, as you showed, which i do if it's not too cold. Thanks for doing this video!
I love watching you ,I always loved dressing up as a child and yes I have moments of sorting out my cloths tying it out and deciding what goes with this or that I have just had a mega clear out .
Thank you Marie-Anne for your video! Love all outfits especially the Jackie O. ..how do you find inner motivation to dress so elegantly while working at home...? Take care :)
Thank you for this beautifully made video. I loved the ease with which you styled the turtleneck. I’m new to French Chic and turtlenecks and I loved your thought process. Where would you suggest someone who is starting their French Chic journey to focus first? Style of clothes? Color choices? Body shape?
Loved every style. My body shape is similar to yours but I'm older. Because I had polio as a baby in 1943 I no longer wear heels like when I was in my twenties. But I still see where I can use a lot of your styling. Really appreciate the style of the jackets you wear. I usually get lost in my jackets because they had no shape. Now I know better on what style to buy. Went to church this morning and got complimented on how slim I looked. Of course, we know it's because of how I dressed myself with my new look! Ty ty! 😘
What a great video Marie-Anne you really brighten up my day with your vibrancy and enthusiasm and all the visuals were amazing. Wish I could wear those heels I need to have lower ones these days. Thank you for all your tips look forward to your next one. Hugs from Sydney, Australia.xx
Love how you go through the styling process in this video Marie-Anne 💕. You always inspire me to try different combinations of the pieces in my wardrobe 👌💖😍
Exceptional video. The polka dot scarf adds a subtle feminine touch against the dark colors.🥰 I’ll be stealing this look. Your converse might also look good w/ the grey wool trousers.
Wonderful video, Marie-Anne! Great energy and you convey that fashion has an element of fun. I just got a new black cashmere turtleneck and I am going to recreate these looks. Thank you so much.
Marie-Anne: love your energy and how you tell us which looks NOT to wear if we are petite or have no waist. Two questions: do you think gold jewelry worn with black ages you? And single breasted or military style blazer if you are thick in the middle?
NICE, tight, long-sleeved black turtleneck and short dark hair worn by a beautiful, mature older woman! Having short hair makes it easier to see the turtleneck, front to back and side to side!
Marie-Anne's style is a highlight among the many youtuber women who, in my opinion, have neither style nor taste and always put too much of everything on the body and face. I find these videos very entertaining and you can get some ideas. I love turtlenecks especially in black. I love black, dark blue, dots and stripes in general. Too much jewellery I find tasteless and inelegant. Of course, not every woman can wear all clothes equally well. I wear size 34, for example, but I am blonde and a girlish type - and a triangle. None of the combinations shown here with the wide black trousers I could not wear. I would look like my grandmother in wide black trousers with a large dotted scarf around my neck. :-) The combination here with the turtleneck jumper and the red skirt is my favourite, because it looks less severe than the other combinations. But of course that is all a matter of taste.
Loved every single outfit. Very Classy. Living in Phoenix Arizona I have a tiny window to wear those but I will modify for my weather. I am currently working on having a capsule wardrobe. Love your videos!
Wow now I really want to try on a black turtleneck layered under a blouse! What a wonderfully creative way of carrying a lighter blouse into the A/W which would have been otherwise put away for the season.
Great video. Your style of fun and chic and the best part is how classic and elegant it is for women in their 50s. ❤
Oh Marie-Anne, you looked great in every single outfit especially the grey trousers
Mindblowing how much u did with that ONE turtle neck. You are amazing. Loved it to the core
Truly enjoy the look of the black turtleneck…easy but elegant! Thank you.
🖤
Superb video Marie-Anne! The change to the looks when you change the shoes always surprises and inspires me. Merci beaucoup!
Glad you enjoyed it Vivien 😃
I just love my cashmere sweaters. I can't get enough of them.
I love turtlenecks the cashmere ones I own, keep me very warm in the cold mid-western winters. I love the 5 ways to style it!
Hi from England. Another great video, thanks for doing them.

I’ve never worn red lipstick but I am tempted to try because it looks so classy!
