no, features do change: skin gets thinner, more veins show through, you might become paler (iron, B12, folate deficiency), the skin loses elasticity, might become dry, so it loses it's shine, gerontoxon might develop on the eye (so it changes the color), ears and nose gets bigger, hair becomes more coarse, greyish, or yellowish white, and so on...
@@zulejkajaversek9161 she said in the video that features are constant. I also think that color analysis should be redone after a certain age because it may change. not the season, but the deepness.

I am loving your channel. I have got older and felt frumpy I cut my hair in a pixie and love it. Also, brought new makeup, and cleaned out my closet. I was buying old lady clothes. Am on a limited budget but am going to up my fashion wardrobe. I am happy you are sharing with us for I do not have extra funds for the program you offer but may save up for it and do it, but it will be a while. I 'd rather save for better made clothes. Even if it is a few pieces at a time. I will keep my old lady style for cleaning and yard work. everyday stuff. I had the best clothes when younger, I worked, and it was mostly a working wardrobe but now no longer have a job but still work. I gained a lot of weight after 60 but am losing it and will be adding a workout routine, you have inspired me, and you have such good taste. Thank you so much for all the work you put into it, it is appreciated. Especially during this time in my life. I am going to add more expensive pieces once I get my weight where it needs to be. Peace!
I am 71..do not look 71... Have always been in the beauty business. I think that has helped me..I receive compliments every day...people are so kind to me..they stop me and say, you are so pretty..so nice! Thank you for helping people❤
If you’re really concerned about not looking older, don’t be overweight, don’t smoke, hydrate and get some exercise and enough sleep. If you’re wearing what you like and enjoy wearing, who gives a crap if you look older? Living into old age in this world is an accomplishment, is it not? So why care if you look older if you’re healthy because you might not with your next outfit!
A large part of wearing color is the tone. You are wearing a clear red which looks great on you. Some would be better suited to a red with very warm tones toward orange and others would look better in cooler red with blue tones.
As a woman approaching 70 this year, I so much appreciate your perspective and, of course, expertise in all things fashion and style. You are a godsend…please give us more!!
I do think that dressing age appropriate is the correct thing to do. I am 69 and did wear a mini skirt in winter with thick tights until I was 60 but it's not appropriate any more. You know yourself when it's not appropriate to wear something. Good video thank you x
I can definitely relate! 🙂 My approach was one level lower hemline. If the shirt is a midi or maxi, I've found that keeping the profile more form- fitting (* not TIGHT) to be more flattering. ( Versus getting lost in fabric, overwhelming my body shape) I know that trend of oversized is popular, but, in my opinion is unflattering. I love that trend of long denim skirt, but had to do a midi. LOVE the Maxi - but it overwhelmed my body shape, so instead I did the skirt in thinner black stretchy denim- wow! What a difference! I " adapted the trend to my body type & stayed true to my personal style. I also combined the waffle jacket, with moto & fur- everyone can't stop saying mind blown over this jacket. (* Budget friendly TJ Max!👍) I've learned so much from these videos! I'm 63 yo, and my daughter tells me I've found my best style these days. As she said, yes, we DO still want to look & feel fabulous. 100% agree that we are worth it- especially at our age. Loving this channel & community! Have a fabulous day, darlings!
Thank you. I’m completely blown away by the blue checked scarf wrap. If you are lucky enough to have something similar in the wardrobe ( which I have ) this is a brilliant idea for updating without any expense. Love it, you’re a genius Diana
When my hair went from brown to silver I absolutely had to change my clothing colors. I had to get rid of a lot of clothes because those colors that were good with brown are awful with silver hair.
I'm glad to see this comment. I'm a 100% silver at age 63, still coloring my hair to Auburn ( green eyes). I was thinking about going silver,,, but,,oh my!! After all these years of finally achieving my best wardrobe,, I can see that I don't/ can't/ won't start over. Whew! Glad I saw your comment,, LoL! I admire women who go silver, I've always wanted to. Even my grown daughter & my closest friends tell me not to. When I had COVID, (sick for five months) I attempted to go silver- I looked awful. It washed out my face so much. I tried more makeup, and looked even worse. I envy you that you look fabulous! You keep doing you,, and have a lovely day! 😘
Love the all-black look at 9:37. The scarf wrapping look at 13:49 and the brown tweed jacket final look at 16:32. Great ways of incorporating classic styles with trends! Thanks for the valuable tips!
So glad your channel showed up on my feed today!!❤ You reminded me that i can reinvent myself after cancer/ mastectomy. Im looking forward to dressing nice again! Thank you
One of the things you should of I would appreciate you to consider in your videos is this. First as I grew up in various foster homes and very poor with no female influences to help me I never learned how to dress in a flattering way. I also had a large Bust which caused some issues and made me super embarrassed at times. Once I was married and no longer in those situations, I then began having serious health problems. Here I am at 62 still no clue really unable to know how to dress stylishly. Add that to the fact that my feet are fused restricting my ability to wear any shoes except the ones that are suitable for my feet, add that to frozen shoulders and many other physical restrictions. These are things that people such as yourself might take into consideration when making some of these videos. I know I’m not alone out here. You are lovely and I’ve enjoyed watching your video. Many of your outfits towards the end are things I could wear other than the boots. But I am going to make an effort to watch more of your videos. Thank you for such a positive video.
When I purchase clothes my thoughts are: Does is suit me? Would I have bought this garment 5 years ago? Will I still be wearing this garment in 5 years? How ethical is the production of this garment including the manufacture of the fabric? If the answer is 'No' or 'I don't know' to any of those questions - I do not buy the garment.
Wonderful video! Diana, please do a video on hosiery and tights. They’re coming back in, but since it’s been years, I’m not sure whether the guidelines have changed. Also, many younger women are wearing them for the first time and could use your wisdom! 😊
I understand what you’re trying to say but often the so called experts rules are a basic principle guide for people who are totally unaware unconscious of their body type, age skin/hair colour and what suits them. They aren’t set in stone guidelines, but I always see people wearing inappropriate clothes which make them look more older larger etc than dressing differently. Some people do it naturally others not 💕 I’m often asked by women I don’t know my opinion on something they are trying on when I am shopping for myself and of course I’m only happy enough to help make any woman feel better about herself and be the best version of herself she can be 💕 I know my strengths and weaknesses and I work with clothes to accentuate my strengths but lots of people don’t 🙏😘💕
Diana, I loved this video. I'm 74 and don't want to look like I live in a senior's retirement facility which is where I am. If I looked like you I would wear a bikini every day.
really???? One of the most beautful comments I’ve come across lately….which is giving me that moment of “it dawned on me while sleeping”…..I’m not afraid of bikini…not afraid of colors/beautiful pieces of clothes I own….but now I really want to go through my wardrobe and wear everything without “NO Fear at all”……I wish you all the best and good health and a huge huge huge hug from Mongolia!!!!❤❤❤❤
Such a great video! Diana as a serious school teacher made me laugh out loud. So glad that you challenged all these “rules”. I am over 60;and wear mini skirts and bright colors! 🎉❤❤❤

Great video Diana. Everything you said was so true about age and fashion. I'm 68 and love fashion. I too, have finally learned that it is me that I'm dressing for. Of course I want my husband to think I look fabulous but it's really about dressing in what makes me feel my best. Your channel always gives me knowledgeable information and tips. I enjoy it very much. Ty for continuous interesting content..
Well meaning video, but colours do change on order people. For a start eye brows get less pronounce or and grey, not to mentioned other changes to our skin that other ladies already listed. Yes, we should do what needs to be done to look good and confident, but no good kidding ourselves that nothing changes. I would say that almost everything changes with age and only through hard work we can fight passing time. I try my best and it does take work and time. Best regards to all ladies.
Me, too, age 64, I love wearing mini-skirts and -dresses. My legs look better than many teenager’s (thanks to DNA) where I live, so why the heck not? I even wear them with tights and thigh-high boots in winter.🙂
A lot of great advice. When you say our hair colour, skin tone and eyes don’t change how do you then address natural changes such as going from dark brown hair to silver hair?
@@emmsue1053 that is true but the additional secondary characteristics are whether your colouring is light or deep, clear or soft and that does change particularly if going from dark to silver as I have done.
I loved your take on this, very interesting! Also I’ve never heard the myth that black and brown don’t go together 😳 I’m questioning some of my favourite outfit combinations now not going to lie lol. I have a corduroy brown mini (ish) skirt I found at a thrift store and had tailored, that I love pairing with black tights and a long sleeved black shirt. I usually pair with a black blazer or sometimes navy trench coat and Oxford shoes. I feel it looks stylish 🤷🏻♀️ so I guess that’s what matters most is that I feel good in it! I’m 31 in December and feel you can pull almost anything off if you have the confidence
I am 58, 165 cm and DD cups. Difficult. But because I couldn't wear it in my youth I do it now and it makes me totally happy. Biker's boots, washed up skinny jeans and (faux) leather jacket.
Many thanks for wonderful videos. A lot of us work or volunteer and don't have a handbag with us through that period. Our outfits need to stand on their own without that accessory (handbag). Many thanks.
Great point. I’m a teacher and my handbag definitely isn’t with me as I go through my day. I have stepped up my accessory game by wearing a bracelet style watch. Can’t even wear necklaces well because of the ID lanyard! 😂
From my own experience, my colours changed as I became older. My hair went from really dark brown to silvery white - what happened with my DNA? My eyebrows also became lighter and have almost disappeared from the outside of my brow line. My skin is much more patchy in colour and I have developed rosacea in the central area of my face. I have always had sensitive skin and therefore stay out of the sun as much as is practical and possible, and, although when I was growing up sunscreen creams and SPF were not available to most ordinary folk, I have used those with as high an SPF as I could find/afford since they became readily available. I am not hugely overweight but my body shape has changed from bearing children and doing what it takes to keep a home and garden clean and tidy. Your style tips are helpful but human bodies do change with age, illness, general degeneration.
I really enjoyed this video! Even if some things surprised me, like the fact that you wore black thin tights with a white (or cream) short skirt and silver slingback(!) pumps or the fact that you wore this mini skirt with a short jacket! All these things were surprising to me to see on your video but not new for me because I do and love this. Well done, really good tips also when you say that there is not "age appropriate" dressing. You can always wear whatever you love, fits and suits you. Every tip really was very helpful! 👌👍🙂
I go to the gym and I can keep up with the 30 and 40 year olds, can you? That is how you can tell if a person is OLD, usually an older person can’t move like a younger person! I wear exciting athletic clothes everyday because my life is a workout! I am very healthy! Your health tells the story, not your clothes!
Being from Florida in the US (and over 60 with some extra weight around the middle) I never wear scarves but your tip with the blue scarf to break up the harsh black outfit is giving me 2nd thoughts. You are a very classy stylish lady and I appreciate your fashion insights!
I adore silk scarves, I have all my life. But they might be too hot for Florida? I wear mine in only the three cooler seasons, not summer (age 64, San Francisco).
You look great! I love how you paired the bright red lipstick with the bright red stripes of your sweater, yet the rest of the makeup is paired down. Awesome style tips for everyone!👍❤👍
Diana i trully appreciate u sharing your wisdom on fashion for us women above 40. Im glad i found your channel. This is the best fashion platform ever🌷! You have uplifted us to the highest level with your brilliant fashion sense. Keep on doing awesome videos. Sending u love from Singapore🌷🥰
I agree with most of this. One point I would make is that our hair color changes. For me personally this changed my makeup colors. So many browns look very orange. For most of my life I wore red lipstick but now I feel like it looks very hard now.
Diana, I lost my fashion sense when my height drastically changed. It’s said that women can lose up to four inches of height. Could you help those of us facing height changes?
Age can define you in a good way: I've always loved beige, that's nice itself but is too stereotyped, now I love amber and it combines vigorously with most colors, including velvet. All I needed, was free myself. So I'm very happy to hear the same from you. Likee 🌹
Diana you are truly amazing and so stylish and classy love your videos i feel so much better since seeing them especially as you've explained its ok for older women to wear mini skirts ive got great ideas from watching you but outfits together please keep your videos coming Kind regards Christine Gallagher
At 65+, I decided to utilize "athleisure" styles to enhance an active lifestyle. These styles move with me and are very comfortable. My goal is to be zipper-free! These styles include tights, fitted polo shirts and fitted popovers (like a lightweight sweatshirt), skorts, fitted cotton tee or sheer linen boxy tees and lots of gorgeous color and patterns. It's fun and exciting! Bright white is my neutral. I don't ever wear black! And the athelectic shoe styles fit in fine.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise. I really enjoy your channel. I think we all want to look good regardless of age and I agree Ms Musk looks fabulous in her signature style. Finding the right proportions, wearing colours that suit you and having accessory sets just makes getting dressed for any occasion less stressed. ❤
I learn so much from your videos. As a woman over 50 at a size six but with a 32f bust-line I find sweaters to be a huge challenge and as we get older the “girls” seem to be more and more prominent. I would love your take on this problem. Thanks so much.
I can relate! I'm 63yo, I have discovered bras that minimize the breast area make all my outfits look better. Even better: control top camis! I hope this helps. Keep doing you& looking fabulous! 👆🤩
I love red, adidas and Patton leather purses! Added it all to my fall wardrobe. Black and Brown look great and so does navy and black. At 56, I have desire for big designer things like bags and shoes. Yes I have them but not really worth it. I love buying new clothes every season.
No mini skirts after 40? B.S. Just because most women over 40 don't stay in shape doesn't mean I don't. I work hard to keep my legs toned, and I rock a mini so well that I get compliments galore!
Goodness yes! My neighbour is in her late seventies and wears shorts a lot. She looks so good - smart, slender and healthy! She always makes heads turn because she absolutely glows with fitness and class. I'm fifty-one and just seeing how great she looks inspires me to workout and stay looking at my best for my entire life - fingers crossed 🤞
I’m 64 and wear minis all the time, with or without tights, depending on the weather. It’s not about age, it’s about comfort and how good one feels about showing their legs. (I wear other lengths, too, but the short ones make me feel extra energized!). I wear skirt outfits or dresses nearly every day, my preference for comfort and style. If I had to avoid minis, there wouldn’t be enough choices for me in the most current styles.🙂
In my opinion the cardigan looks too big and the round neck is unflattering, it's also a boxy shape which cuts you in half and again is unflattering to your body shape. I totally agree wth your take on colour though.
I love your style but I am living in a small town in wisconsin. I would love to dress like you do. but it wouldn't work here. when I lived in houston I dressed more savvy, but not now. thanks
I too have an age issue. I am a natural strawberry blonde. By 67 I had gone to white hair at first now a few streaks of red are coming through the white. It is very disconcerting to look in the mirror and my hair is shoulder length and white with gold red streaks. I’m still wearing spring colors but without my longer red hair my crown is gone. My hair will grow.
Thank you so much for teaching us how to wear fashion specially in age 😁 I am now 51 unmarried person and my body is petite and still can wear like teen ager 😂
I am very colour conscious - blond, blue eyed, I have a cool skin tone. Cool pastel colours suit me best, particularly in summer. As for dark colours, I have to be careful. No black!!! As wearing black drains the colour of my skin - Instead French Navy. Orange, American Red, Forest Green, Grey - out of the question - they all make me look extremely pale. Blue/Grey and Sky Blue are okay, pastel greens and pinks with blue undertones and lemon yellow is also fine. I'm 1.60 tall and look awful in wide legged trousers - straight and slim is good. Skirts? Knee length is best.
This was a fabulous video, Diana. You looked stunning in the mini skirt ensemble. At the age of almost 67, I will take a pass on leggings, but I have this sort of mini skirt that I love and will still wear with opaque hose and boots. Thanks for the inspiration.
At 70+ , so true ! Also some seasonal changes - even tho' I've worn sunscreen for decades , I still get a bit of a " natural glow " in summer , so make a few makeup changes accordingly . Slight variations of lipstick / lip balm ( a shade lighter or darker ) depending on the colors I wear can easily give aging skin a boost .
So cute! 😂 mini skirts! I have worn them only since 1966!!!! I am 69 yrs old! Still wear them! Lol! I was a dancer and luckily by some miracle l still look cute in them! I wear them with jackets too! Lol you missed a lot of good yrs of mini skirting! It's fun!!!!🎉

Love your attitude. Wear what I want, who is anyone to tell how you dress. Keep rockin!
Me 2 ❤
no, features do change: skin gets thinner, more veins show through, you might become paler (iron, B12, folate deficiency), the skin loses elasticity, might become dry, so it loses it's shine, gerontoxon might develop on the eye (so it changes the color), ears and nose gets bigger, hair becomes more coarse, greyish, or yellowish white, and so on...
So we have to commit suicide?😂
What is the point of this comment?
@@zulejkajaversek9161 she said in the video that features are constant. I also think that color analysis should be redone after a certain age because it may change. not the season, but the deepness.
Wow this made me feel down.
@@angelawade1445Misery loves love, don't buy that bad news! There are fixes for each one of those changes. If one cares to continue to look fresh and beautiful, it only takes a little time and effort. As the video creator demonstrates, women can look great at any age!❤
Wear what I like and what I think looks good on me. 😊
Thank You! I believe we should wear what makes us sparkle and happy.
Diana you are a breath oof fresh air. Both classy and youthful. Love your advice. Thank you. 😊
Diana, it would be a crime not to wear a mini with your legs! Thank you for the video!
You are so right! That red and white cardigan is just fabulous!
I do think that dressing age appropriate is the correct thing to do. I am 69 and did wear a mini skirt in winter with thick tights until I was 60 but it's not appropriate any more.
You know yourself when it's not appropriate to wear something. Good video thank you x
And what would that mean? What is age propriate? Just want to throw that question into the round and into the universe 😊
You are wise and I CAN relate
I'm 72+... I can wear absolutely everything and anything I want to wear. Love this video and im sending it far and wide.
PS- I checked out your channel & subbed! I can see your content is right up my alley. Again, so glad I saw your comment. Have a blessed day. 🙂
I totally agree. When I went from auburn to gray I did not look good in any of the colors I had been wearing. Love being silver though....so easy!!
Thank you
Diana, I adore you. You are classy and adorable at the same time. Thank you for your style wisdom!
Thank you so much! I am really touched by your kind words 😊❤️
Thank you for sharing your story and leaving the feedback !
Gotta say: I’m not usually into these types of videos but this lady has legitimately helped me dress better without buying anything. Thank you!!
When I purchase clothes my thoughts are:
Does is suit me?
I love a little above the knee. Can't wait until it comes back in.
Never was a fan parading around with the midrift out.
Love the emoji!
Such a great video! Diana as a serious school teacher made me laugh out loud. So glad that you challenged all these “rules”. I am over 60;and wear mini skirts and bright colors! 🎉❤❤❤
Глупо носить мини юбки в 60 лет. Это просто" детство в жаднице" или альцгеймер.
The last word in this sentence kinda sounded like alzheimers. altsgeemer. He said something about wearing a mini skirt at 60.@@olgach7711

I am 70 now and my favourite is still a mini. I also like leggings and high boots.
🔥🔥🔥
Me, too, age 64, I love wearing mini-skirts and -dresses. My legs look better than many teenager’s (thanks to DNA) where I live, so why the heck not? I even wear them with tights and thigh-high boots in winter.🙂
Love, love, love what you're sharing here. So true, informative, and inspiring! Every video you come out with I learn a ton! Thank you Diana!
Thank you so much, Karen! 🫶🏻
Great video. Just turned 50 and certainly don't want to give up on fashion. Very inspiring, thank you 😊
A lot of great advice. When you say our hair colour, skin tone and eyes don’t change how do you then address natural changes such as going from dark brown hair to silver hair?
I think Diana means you will always be a either a "cool" or "warm" colouring?
Some of the classiest coordinates I’ve seen are a deep warm brown and black; especially in herringbone❤
Thank you for debunking the boring and bland cookie cutter stereotypes for mature women.
Goelia’s largest size is XXL and it’s equivalent to US size 14. I hope The Row has good sales b/c their clothing & accessories are very expensive.
Never wearing tights again in my life. Or heels. The joy of getting older is the ability to say nope.
Love your style ❤ Those silver shoes are fab. Thank you for not having the long hair everyone is obsessed with these days. Tres chic!
You look great! I love how you paired the bright red lipstick with the bright red stripes of your sweater, yet the rest of the makeup is paired down. Awesome style tips for everyone!👍❤👍

Likee 🌹
Diana you are truly amazing and so stylish and classy love your videos i feel so much better since seeing them especially as you've explained its ok for older women to wear mini skirts ive got great ideas from watching you but outfits together please keep your videos coming

A SMILE WILL TAKE YEARS OFF!!!
I am 74. I dress the way I want! I love an elegant style but also an equestrian look!
Style, useful ideas, and such beautiful color combos. Thank you.
I appreciate that!🫶🏻
Thank you for sharing. Makes me feel more confident in what I enjoy wearing.
Diana, what a wonderful video. Amazing tips!
Thank you very much!
Do you mean “patent leather” or is Patton a brand?🙂
No mini skirts after 40? B.S. Just because most women over 40 don't stay in shape doesn't mean I don't. I work hard to keep my legs toned, and I rock a mini so well that I get compliments galore!
Goodness yes! My neighbour is in her late seventies and wears shorts a lot. She looks so good - smart, slender and healthy! She always makes heads turn because she absolutely glows with fitness and class. I'm fifty-one and just seeing how great she looks inspires me to workout and stay looking at my best for my entire life - fingers crossed 🤞
@@lornam3637 At my age, the key is wearing tights with my minis, rather than going bare-legged.
Good for her not typical at all
I’m 64 and wear minis all the time, with or without tights, depending on the weather.
I disagree about the cardigan.
I'd love to hear your take on metal colors and how to mix them for effortlessness and elegance. Love your content.
I’m never afraid of color & I love red. Age 68
Thank you so much for teaching us how to wear fashion specially in age 😁 I am now 51 unmarried person and my body is petite and still can wear like teen ager 😂
Great video, my favorite one of yours so far! I enjoy that you give great examples that you're wearing yourself.
I think black and brown is so elegant together. I learned that in Europe! Europeans dress so much more elegantly and classy!
Horizontal strips. Vertical stripes, too. I see both
Love you impersonating the headteacher, even the hair looks a bit matronly. You really know how to style oneself as needed/wanted!
This was a fabulous video, Diana. You looked stunning in the mini skirt ensemble. At the age of almost 67, I will take a pass on leggings, but I have this sort of mini skirt that I love and will still wear with opaque hose and boots. Thanks for the inspiration.
Great! 🔥 thank you for sharing!
I live in a hot climate. Even a line blazer is too hot when it's over 90°. I'd live to see some style tips for hot climates
Das sieht alles super bei dir aus👍Jedoch mit „Bauch“ werden diese Outfits schwierig!
I have a special video dedicated to this issue;) please have a look
A "boxy" top half only works if you are taller & slim? Thank you for the ideas though, I always have problems pulling outfits together!
I always find I try to dress in a casual but classy style. What makes a plain outfit is a cool jacket or scarf.
Love the shorter skirts!!
Все луки хороши. Диана, белый пуховик, черные легинсы и жокейские сапоги - просто класс.
Diana you look fabulous in any outfit. And I truly love your hair cut!
Are horizontal stripes good if you are short and chubby
Which colours flatter you depend on your colouring not your age.
I like most of it but I wouldn’t wear red ,blue and white the color of flag.
Did not care for the “where’s Waldo” look
Not Just useful, bur very inspiring! Thank you ❤
So glad to hear that! 😇
I like that, “look fabulous than you ever did before!”
Well that’s the whole point! Why else grow older if not becoming even more fabulous?!😀
