This is also down to the next gen which is not playing as well as it Should. Kyrgios is top talent and is wasting his skill by bad behaviour and mentality. Kokkinakis had significant injuries. Zveref has not played as seriously as he should. And the other younger ones are not playing at the top level currently although they are very good.

1st grandslam in which they were top 2 seeds ----- French Open 2011
*10 years later, they are still the top 2 seeds in French Open 2021* Correction : I was wrong. Nadal will be 3rd seed in French Open 2021.
Nadal will drop to 3rd in the rankings on Monday. Above him will be Medvedev in 2nd and Djokovic in 1st. Although the French Open is three weeks away, it is likely Nadal will stay 3rd.

@@Easility I'm dutch mate. And soccer remains one of the most boring sports I've ever seen, been so since the first time I watched it. Stayed so after visiting multiple matches too. Stayed so when the Netherlands reached world finals in 2010. Stayed so when Feyenoord, the club of my city, won the national championship a couple of times and I went celebrating in Rotterdam. I never got the hype for that sport. Outside of that, I don't give a fck about what messi or ronaldo makes, since they've both proven to be assholes without any sense of morality. I don't care about famous people without morals. I care about people that take their responsibilities and know that their fame only means that they're a role model, so they act like it. So, the numbers you're throwing out, no matter how ridiculously high; I'll never be as shallow as to think money - or followers - is everything. But you do you. Messi is the biggest most talented legend soccer has ever seen, and Ronaldo's work ethic is insane; I'm not denying that. I respect their athleticism. Cause I too am a sports fan. But I don't respect them as people tho, since tho their impact is huge, it's a negative impact. Youth striving to be like them grow up to be a shallow, ignorant, greedy and blatant people.
Messi nor Ronaldo should be anyone's role model. Pellé should be neither. Cruyf, now that was actually kind of a good man. But most legends of soccer are assholes, and I consider people placing them next to true role-models like the big three for example, shallow.

I lived in US at the time so the match started late at night on Saturday. Being a huge Novak fan, after the 1st set, and a lot of wrecked nerves, I'm ashamed to say that I decided to go to bed and not watch the rest of it. Basically I chickened out of it. Well the next morning when I got up and turned the TV on to see what was the final score, you could imagine my surprise when I saw that the match was still on. I watched the 5th set drama and I think that the excitement of it shortned my life by about 5 years. Bottom line best match ever, something I will never forget.

If Rafa's body worked like mine, and he entered the court wheing 85 kg, taking into account @Walid Assali's 5000 calories estimation + the water loss in sweat + the fact that he relays on sugar for energy rush, not having eaten a big meal before the match, he walked out of it wheing app. 79 kg. What an amazingly clutch game by Djokovic. Two powerhouses going at it, shot for shot, tit for tat until one couldn't take it any longer. Amazing to watch this live and proud to be able to watch it again, in full. 2022 and still going strong Nole. Congratulations on Torino 2022. Idemo 2023. 💪

When Nadal won the tie break of the 4th set, his excitement typically only seen when one won the championship; the last two points, every point Djokovic won, he had the reaction also typically seen when one won the championship. Love to see. That shows the high intensity of this match and their fighting to win every point.
