Neat fact , The Fates Motel POI is a representation of the Bates Motel from the American classic horror film Psycho. I found Fates Motel in my first few minutes of my last Darkness falls run and thought the same , but of course DF doesn't show skull on the POI's. Needless to say walking in with my level one club ended up a early exit from my permadeath run lol. Glad I wasn't the only one. I think there are hallways above the motel rooms that have peepholes that look into the room, cant confirm as my stay at the Fates Motel only lasted maybe 2 minutes. thought you might find that interesting , nice tip of the hat to American horror culture.

Yeah i spent 365 days watching random ppl play the overhaul & used thier playstyle to adjust & balance which is why i added streamers personal items be it food or bought models :) nice mention to 2lips lol.. hes done some gd vids on this which i always thought was nice of him.. The mod its self is suppose to be an addition to vanilla..ie fun play or hard depending how you like it...again thanks for trying it out..

11:08 Kenneth "Jeffrey Hawk" Chase alias "The Clown" is one Killer in the game Dead by Daylight, just for you interest. In there he usually slows down Survivors with toxic gas in bottles that he mixes himself. Seems like this overhaul takes models from all kinds of games to put them in as zombies.
Came to the comments just to see if anyone else had said anything about The Clown from Dead by Daylight. If I remember correctly there’s a few other DBD killers as zombies in this mod too
@@TDurden527 tbh, i kinda dislike the way some of the models apply to the default movement. For example with the clown and the movement of the fat tourist, his neck is just... weird...
Great episode! This has always been my favorite mod. A couple of hints for ya. HD stuff, except for schematics and some of the injections from Air Drops, are not found at all in the world, they are craft only. There is one exception to this rule, finishing some of the 9 quests can give high level HD equipment as a reward for finishing the quests. Most people overlook the quests, but they are an essential part of the mod.
So glad to see this mod get some attention. I love this mod when i crave chaos, and I have not found many people showing this mod. Probably from some of the uh... aesthetic choices and wall decorations.

It's definitely not my preferred style of mod. This mod is on the entire opposite side of the spectrum compared to Undead Legacy which is probably my favorite. But I'm still enjoying it so far

At 39:31 when you bought the bar brawling book there were those schematics you've been looking forward to scrap for warm candy skill magazines right above the magazine you bought and they were only 200+ dukes. Next time if you see those you should just buy them and scrap them that way you can get your workbench you needed
GNS make sure when you are scrapping schematics you are doing it 1 schematic at a time. So having 4 and you scrap them all will not net you 4 but only 1. Gotta split them up.
At the 28 minute mark I had to pause, for a second I thought you scrapped the hd workbench schematic lol Also, those illnesses at first I was scared and thought they would keep killing and resetting till you cured them, but it looks like they have to kill you to clear up, normal deaths dont stop it which is awful but at least you wont end up with 5 illnesses constantly killing you in staggered order every 20 minutes.
Loving the series. If you put enough points into sprint, not only can you easily outrun everything in the game, but you can make some looooooooong jumps.
A good thing you can look into with the War3zuk mod is that there is some additional perks you can invest into to help bolster existing ones. There are perks that increase the fire rate/reload speed/damage of all ranged weapons, increase your base health and stamina, help you run a lot faster, punch a lot harder, the list goes on and on. At the time stamp 24:45 you can see that yellow badge-like thing next to the hammer symbol. That's where those special perks are if you'd like to give them a look. They are really useful for mid-to-late game.
Hi Tem, I used the box factory as a base on my last playthrough and It worked really well as a tower base. I build drop areas with sledge turrets and electric fence posts to knock zombies to the bottom and built a crow's nest at the top of one of the metal chimneys/smokestacks. They have 10,000 hit points and if you make some grenade shoots you can drop grenades and molatovs. It's a bit of a pain if you want to make a pit at the bottom though due to all the crap at the bottom. You can also wall off one side of the factory to use as a garage pretty easily and build a helipad at the top of the base. Cheers!
I was watching you dying from the bollock rot, while staring at the name of this mod. War3zuk. My brain reads it as War 3 (World war 3) z (zombie) uk (U.K). I tried it once and found out I was nothing but zombie food on day one. It certainly humbles you quick, hey. Great series as always, Tem.
Loving the longer format videos, great series and fun/difficult overhaul. You inspired me to pick it up again. FYI the HD class quests give nice rewards and you'll probably need the schematics later on for the wasteland, while most of them require mid/high skills, the farmer just requires a lot of materials and gives you a nice toy to play with.

Two things, you'll need the pics bench to make the schematics Second if you just hit the plants with a knife you'll harvest the plant and the seed will stay in the crop plot It's fun watching someone go thru this mod playthru that hasn't played it b4
The Box factory is an interesting place for building a horde base: lots of places where you can set up regular turrets or you can hire NPC and put them in many places. (I remember having something like 20 NPC in there) And yes the hordes do get a lot worse: remember that electric mini demo? they do not need to hit you for you to lose vision they just need to get close to you
So quick tip!! If you do hire the roaming people you can place items into their inventory and then pick them up!! It is like extra storage and very helpful when you go on a loot run!!
If I remember right you craft the HD med kits in the chemistry station hun and don't forget to complete your class books. All of them hun. You get rewards for them. Have a beautiful day
Check out the farmer quest line. I always make it my first priority when playing this mod. The quest reward is worth it. You can also craft your own quests. Check paper recipes. Great series!
GNS, the spinning armless zombie means that the overhaul mod is using an older version of the Guppy zombies. He has fixed that since. Either they need to update or you do LOL. He has made some amazing improvements including a few zombies that truly randomize the used meshes via cVars. Such a different and cool way to do it ever since the A21 killing off texture changing. Then again, it will all be different again in 1.
A thought came to me as I saw you get blasted by a zombie with a shotgun, and that is in the later stages of the game, are the hordes going to have zombies carrying weapons? If that was the case, I would say that will be even more brutal than it is now. Great video. Looking forward to seeing a new base design. 😎
Absolutely, this is just a first-look mini series. I hope to make it all the way to day 21 at least. But once I learn the ropes a little bit it'll be a LOT easier to come up with a bit of a narrative for a normal RP-style playthrough in 1.0

The 15000 blocks are spawners. Be careful if you're mining under them, you don't want them to fall on you. big damage. -- Mining works like vanilla, there is usually more of the resource a a few blocks down...
you should make the HD Bicycle since it can be installed with its own mod so its super fast (not sure did he do it yet on this episode just started watching)
18:03 feels like something that exists to easily tell the modder which zombie it is or is something that adds the special effect to the zombie itself but is supposed to be hidden during gameplay, unless the plan was to fully break the immersion when making this mod. Also this 100% reminds me of Fallout 4 when they decided that just adding survival like they did in FNV wasn't enough so they added all kinds of parasites and such that, if you got early game would pretty much mean you're dead and there's nothing you can do to survive it because you can't outlast it nor cure it. The kind of design that is quite stupid although forgiven when it comes to a mod, not to an official thing from the game devs themself. I know inventory is an issue but questionable to scrap all the HD schematics when there's still a chance you straight up find the workbench schematic.
While rabies is 100% lethal, if you get the rabies shot immediately after getting bitten, it can still stop the disease. The virus moves along the nerves towards the brain and when the first symptoms appear, it's too late for the shot. The closer to your head you've been bitten the faster the onset of symptoms. Fortunately in game it's curable.
With the diseases they don't progress like infections. If you are lucky enough to loot the cures before you can make them save it until you only have a few minutes left. It's super easy to catch again and think of it like an hour of immunity. They are also a pain to craft so even end game I let it ride until close to death.
I think a lot of those HD schematics are dictated by loot stage. It's been several years since I've played this mod, but I do remember having the same problem getting the workbench. By mid-game I was pretty much swimming in schematics.
Best bet will be to focus on finding medical journals to get closer to crafting the injections. You might only find injections in loot with higher game stage and higher tiered POIs. 🙂
Good job! Not so many deaths to zombies in this one. At least with the infections you can kind of plan where you die of them, good thinking crawling back to your bedroll. 👍
Since the zombies in 7dtd don’t act like zombies anyway, they should give zombies a random chance to be holding a weapon for extra damage if they hit. Maybe construction workers can have hammers, janitor/mechanic can have a wrench, lumberjack with axe, the hooded guy can have knife, etc etc.

Catching up with the series so far,, have you considered having a long winding path for the zombies to take before the fighting position, where they fall and start the long journey back? It wouldn't give the best kill counter, but more so for time before they get to you stretching out the night and waves.?
I really like this mod pack and would love to see all the HD Weapons and vehicles can you every few days try out other trees like the intelligence tree and see how strong is it against the mutated zombie and if it can one shot them??
GNS: I have some thoughts about this "series", and I hope you take this as the constructive criticism it's intended to be, rather than just complaining. 1. War3zuk is definitely a hard overhaul, at first. It can be absolutely brutal if you try to play it like Vanilla (much like DF, actually). You mention in this episode that you are going to die a lot playing this overhaul, and I'd agree with you if you go about things like normal. By that, I mean you should spend more time avoiding combat at first. Not only are some of the zombies armored (head shots!), but some cause a lot more damage when they hit you, and several give you special infections. 2. Special infections work like this: Certain zombies have a (large) chance to give you these when they hit you. Strippers give bollock rot, dogs give rabies, etc. The special infection lowers an attribute by 1 for two hours (or until cured), at which point it gives you a two minute countdown until you die. The special injections can only be used during the initial two hours, btw. These injections can be found in airdrops or crafted on the hd workbench if you have the materials. HD first aid kits can also be found in air drops. 3. HD items don't drop in the world, and the traders rarely carry hd items (and then only the auger and chainsaw, I think). Everything has to be crafted from schematics, and they drop regularly enough (but RNG apparently doesn't like you this game). While we're talking about HD items, another thing to mention is that War3zuk has a few special traders which actually have working HD workbenches (and gun benches), so if you find one of those, you wouldn't need to make one of your own. 4. Trader Jen can be reverted to her normal look by removing that folder from your mods folder - then you don't have to worry about youtube. 5. There are a LOT of things changed in War3zuk. From basic loot, to crafting, to vehicles, zombies, attributes, etc. My suggestion for you (and anyone trying out this overhaul) is to pay a lot more attention to descriptions as you go. 6. I understand there are things that you don't prefer. If you aren't enjoying it, though, why keep at it? The feeling I get from these first two videos is that this is just filler content while you wait for 1.0. You usually approach other overhauls in a more thoughtful manner, and take a little more care in how you go through them. In War3zuk, you just immediately went off about how ridiculous the loot is (it definitely can be, but I think you understand why, now). You don't seem to care about reading things as you go, you didn't investigate the perks (making an assumption) which can be a BIG help. I guess it just feels like you absolutely don't care about this play through, don't really want to be doing it, and aren't really trying to enjoy it. That's okay, though. This overhaul isn't for everyone. I feel the same way about some other overhauls, myself. 😀 I've been playing War3zuk since a19, and while it can be hard, it can also be a lot of fun. I have a couple of play throughs here on youtube that you (or anyone) can go watch if you want to see how this overhaul really works. I know this is a wall of text, and that some people might misinterpret my words as an attack on you. They aren't meant that way. I genuinely tend to like your work, and I'll keep watching your other stuff. Maybe you'll give this overhaul a more serious look in the future, maybe not, but hopefully if you do, you'll take more enjoyment from it. And if not, again, that's okay. I really like the idea to make this mods harder but die because you have to die making stuff unreasonable like HD Rabies and the Bolock Disease, etc., without cure or early cure, it’s out of the window… At lease I can see the mod and enjoy it looking at you playing, but it’s not the mod for me…
I think it makes for a perfect little 5 episode mini-series. It's not something I want to spend a month or two playing. But short term, I'm enjoying it

i still remember the first time i was playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly and saw a group of zombie shambling in the distance, popped one and then the others turned around and started shooting back at me, zombies with guns is awful 😭😂

A thought came to me as I saw you get blasted by a zombie with a shotgun, and that is in the later stages of the game, are the hordes going to have zombies carrying weapons? If that was the case, I would say that will be even more brutal than it is now. Great video. Looking forward to seeing a new base design. 😎

Absolutely, this is just a first-look mini series. I hope to make it all the way to day 21 at least. But once I learn the ropes a little bit it'll be a LOT easier to come up with a bit of a narrative for a normal RP-style playthrough in 1.0

The 15000 blocks are spawners. Be careful if you're mining under them, you don't want them to fall on you. big damage. -- Mining works like vanilla, there is usually more of the resource a a few blocks down...
you should make the HD Bicycle since it can be installed with its own mod so its super fast (not sure did he do it yet on this episode just started watching)

18:03 feels like something that exists to easily tell the modder which zombie it is or is something that adds the special effect to the zombie itself but is supposed to be hidden during gameplay, unless the plan was to fully break the immersion when making this mod.
Also this 100% reminds me of Fallout 4 when they decided that just adding survival like they did in FNV wasn't enough so they added all kinds of parasites and such that, if you got early game would pretty much mean you're dead and there's nothing you can do to survive it because you can't outlast it nor cure it. The kind of design that is quite stupid although forgiven when it comes to a mod, not to an official thing from the game devs themself.
I know inventory is an issue but questionable to scrap all the HD schematics when there's still a chance you straight up find the workbench schematic.

While rabies is 100% lethal, if you get the rabies shot immediately after getting bitten, it can still stop the disease.
The virus moves along the nerves towards the brain and when the first symptoms appear, it's too late for the shot.
The closer to your head you've been bitten the faster the onset of symptoms.
Fortunately in game it's curable.
With the diseases they don't progress like infections. If you are lucky enough to loot the cures before you can make them save it until you only have a few minutes left. It's super easy to catch again and think of it like an hour of immunity.
They are also a pain to craft so even end game I let it ride until close to death.
I think a lot of those HD schematics are dictated by loot stage. It's been several years since I've played this mod, but I do remember having the same problem getting the workbench. By mid-game I was pretty much swimming in schematics.
Best bet will be to focus on finding medical journals to get closer to crafting the injections. You might only find injections in loot with higher game stage and higher tiered POIs. 🙂
The zombie clots have to be a reference to Killing Floor and Alma is from FEAR. What other references have people seen?

Good job! Not so many deaths to zombies in this one. At least with the infections you can kind of plan where you die of them, good thinking crawling back to your bedroll. 👍

Since the zombies in 7dtd don’t act like zombies anyway, they should give zombies a random chance to be holding a weapon for extra damage if they hit. Maybe construction workers can have hammers, janitor/mechanic can have a wrench, lumberjack with axe, the hooded guy can have knife, etc etc.
hey ive noticed when you get enought paper you can do hd quests ,ive just done the (time to earn your merrit) quest and obtained lvl 6 hd machete

Do the job quests they give really good rewards. Also look for the multi traders and loot them for the HD schematics
Catching up with the series so far,, have you considered having a long winding path for the zombies to take before the fighting position, where they fall and start the long journey back? It wouldn't give the best kill counter, but more so for time before they get to you stretching out the night and waves.?

I really like this mod pack and would love to see all the HD Weapons and vehicles can you every few days try out other trees like the intelligence tree and see how strong is it against the mutated zombie and if it can one shot them??

GNS: I have some thoughts about this "series", and I hope you take this as the constructive criticism it's intended to be, rather than just complaining.
1. War3zuk is definitely a hard overhaul, at first. It can be absolutely brutal if you try to play it like Vanilla (much like DF, actually). You mention in this episode that you are going to die a lot playing this overhaul, and I'd agree with you if you go about things like normal. By that, I mean you should spend more time avoiding combat at first. Not only are some of the zombies armored (head shots!), but some cause a lot more damage when they hit you, and several give you special infections.
2. Special infections work like this: Certain zombies have a (large) chance to give you these when they hit you. Strippers give bollock rot, dogs give rabies, etc. The special infection lowers an attribute by 1 for two hours (or until cured), at which point it gives you a two minute countdown until you die. The special injections can only be used during the initial two hours, btw. These injections can be found in airdrops or crafted on the hd workbench if you have the materials. HD first aid kits can also be found in air drops.
3. HD items don't drop in the world, and the traders rarely carry hd items (and then only the auger and chainsaw, I think). Everything has to be crafted from schematics, and they drop regularly enough (but RNG apparently doesn't like you this game). While we're talking about HD items, another thing to mention is that War3zuk has a few special traders which actually have working HD workbenches (and gun benches), so if you find one of those, you wouldn't need to make one of your own.
4. Trader Jen can be reverted to her normal look by removing that folder from your mods folder - then you don't have to worry about youtube.
5. There are a LOT of things changed in War3zuk. From basic loot, to crafting, to vehicles, zombies, attributes, etc. My suggestion for you (and anyone trying out this overhaul) is to pay a lot more attention to descriptions as you go.
6. I understand there are things that you don't prefer. If you aren't enjoying it, though, why keep at it? The feeling I get from these first two videos is that this is just filler content while you wait for 1.0. You usually approach other overhauls in a more thoughtful manner, and take a little more care in how you go through them. In War3zuk, you just immediately went off about how ridiculous the loot is (it definitely can be, but I think you understand why, now). You don't seem to care about reading things as you go, you didn't investigate the perks (making an assumption) which can be a BIG help. I guess it just feels like you absolutely don't care about this play through, don't really want to be doing it, and aren't really trying to enjoy it.
That's okay, though. This overhaul isn't for everyone. I feel the same way about some other overhauls, myself. 😀
I've been playing War3zuk since a19, and while it can be hard, it can also be a lot of fun. I have a couple of play throughs here on youtube that you (or anyone) can go watch if you want to see how this overhaul really works.
I know this is a wall of text, and that some people might misinterpret my words as an attack on you. They aren't meant that way. I genuinely tend to like your work, and I'll keep watching your other stuff. Maybe you'll give this overhaul a more serious look in the future, maybe not, but hopefully if you do, you'll take more enjoyment from it. And if not, again, that's okay. I really like the idea to make this mods harder but die because you have to die making stuff unreasonable like HD Rabies and the Bolock Disease, etc., without cure or early cure, it’s out of the window…
At lease I can see the mod and enjoy it looking at you playing, but it’s not the mod for me…
I think it makes for a perfect little 5 episode mini-series. It's not something I want to spend a month or two playing. But short term, I'm enjoying it

i still remember the first time i was playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly and saw a group of zombie shambling in the distance, popped one and then the others turned around and started shooting back at me, zombies with guns is awful 😭😂

Best recommend ration is heavy armor for tanking shit tons of damage as for any thing else not couse just trust me on that it’s bees knees once fully perked in heavy armor
