I recently lost my grandma and I was so lost looking for music to help me cope, and finally I found this song, and the torment and pain in Will’s vocals perfectly portrays how I’m feeling. I really hope I can speak to him one day to thank him for this, her memory will forever live on for me in this song.
Same here, I've been with my wife for 11 years and she had a very bad medical scare where she went into emergency surgery and I related to this video so much. It was so painful watching her go through everything and if I lost her I don't know what I would do.
I heard that in an interview Will said he wanted to bring emotion back into the genre. Lorna Shore did not fail. I believe alot of us that love this genre of music use it as a release and coping mechanism for life. It's a way to feel, be felt, handle emotion and release our anger and energy. You will find most metalheads to be kind and very compassionate people. It's amazing watching some of the world start to see and feel the beauty in what is usually considered satanic and trash. Winning Album of the Year was very well deserved!
It's been nice to see so many channels reacting to metal with such positivity and acceptance and genuine interest. No bashing, just full appreciation. I love it.
I’ve been a metal guitar player for 27 years and this track is such a master piece. What gets me the most is Adam’s guitar solo. The feeling and how it comes in is perfection and it conveys such emotion despite the speed of his arpeggio sweeps and scales. You really feel so many things when listening to this song and the whole trilogy. I can’t wait to see Lorna Shore in concert soon. Great reaction!
One of the greatest solos not from the intricacies of the playing itself, but it just has all that weight due to the position in the track. It fits perfectly.
Ever since I heard To The Hellfire for the first time, Lorna Shore has been my go-to deathcore band. Their emphasis on instrumental melodies as a counterpoint to the growling vocals opened a door for me, as did their obvious skill and precision. May they continue to take the genre to unexpected places. Great reaction, Beth!
Lorna Shore have never been slouches in their art, but the addition of Will did truly lift them to a higher level. But they were always incredibly talented musicians, now they have a truly charismatic frontman.
Couldnt agree more, Will is one of those artists that has a mind that is so creative and dynamic. He really has made Lorna Shore a stand out in the world of music not just metal
I’m so glad you mentioned Will’s annunciation! I think that’s what sets him apart from the rest. He’s the first vocalist that does this style that I can understand literally every word.
A couple days before this song was released I had lost a friend and when I saw they'd released a new song I was expecting something super heavy and energetic like most other songs and was not ready for something so emotional that's not something that's common with Deathcore and even though I try not to cry and try to bury everything I couldn't hold back by the end of the song, I'm definitely ready for 2022 to be over it's been a tough year.
Hope you react to part 2 and 3, but be warned part 2 is much more heavy on the heart than this one, and the 3rd one for me personally was the hardest, this is the first time a deathcore song has made me cry and it makes me cry almost every time i hear it now, and i've listened to it all quite a lot of times haha
I adore Lorna Shore, when Will joined they quickly became my all time favorite deathcore band; that EP is amazing. Absolutely redefined deathcore for me.
Whats amazing about this is no matter who I'm watching react to this, it's next to impossible to hold back the emotions that this song creates. I will never not choke up while hearing that one line of "A world without you wasn't meant for me."
As a long time lover of the metal genre I really appreciate it being broken down and appreciated as something more than just a "headache inducing mess".I hope videos like yours can appeal to people who never thought to give this genre a chance. Great work!
Superb visuals. Notice how the memories are bright with soft sunlight signifying the happiness and love only to switch to the present showing him in darkness and sharp lights signifying desperation and sadness.
"...And it just suddenly stops" both fit to be said about the song and what the song is saying about life. It's going along at full swing and for many it just suddenly stops, with no resolution.
7:06 I accidentally fell asleep one time a couple months back while listening to Lorna Shore and I discovered how well it works for me when I purposefully tried to fall asleep to it.
Thank you for sharing your reaction to this, Beth. Reading the comments, it seems the line that brought tears to your eyes does so for many other people, too.
They really make you feel their music. This one is an emotional rollercoaster, as the song title suggests you're dancing like flames. The way the beat changes is like the change of flames in the fire. The lyrics are very well written, and the visualization really adds to the feelings. Now you have to do the other two for sure.
Just saw them live recently and they played the trilogy in its entirety. All of their skill is ridiculous, and Will’s vocal ability is even more impressive in person. Not a band to miss if you have an opportunity to witness them live!
This whole trilogy embodies and explains what pain really is..... I cant not feel with this trilogy no matter how awesome the vocals and instruments are

This is actually my first time, watching a reaction to this guy, even though I’ve seen many thumbnails of people I watch reacting to him. I just never really was able to make the time to watch them before. But everything you had to say about him was fascinating. And his harsh vocal sound very satisfying to me somehow…
As she recommended I’d highly suggest checking out The Charismatic Voice’s videos both where they do a scope into Will’s larynx to show his technique and her reaction to the entire pain remains trilogy. Just like Beth it’s very insightful and interesting.
This song ends the way it does because on the album it goes directly in to part two. However, the abruptness was not an accident. The video, like life, ends abruptly and without warning.
Heavy in so many ways all of them unexpected holding more weight in its meaning, deathcore and metal is heavy and brutal, but this song and it’s fellow songs are very different in its brutality and heaviness beautifully poetic
You know you can't leave it there right?! Now you have to watch parts 2 and 3. When you've been so broken by whatever the tragic life-event, and you can't adequately express how hurt you are, along comes master therapist Will Ramos who says "Does this sound what your insides feel like? Pretty close? Well, you can just listen, or you can scream and cry along with me, whatever you need, but we'll get through this together!"
I’m so happy to see LS on your channel again! In addition to you doing parts 2-3 of the Pain Remains trilogy, I’d love to see you analyze either one of his one takes of LS songs(where you can see what he’s doing) or his cover of Sleep Token’s Hypnotize(you’ll be pleasantly surprised). Both of those are on his channel, btw. Going to check out your second channel now.
Thank you for covering this song! I was intrigued after To The Hellfire, and when I checked out their new album, the Pain Remains suite was my absolute favourite. Just a gorgeous piece of work. I don't even really like deathcore (still metalhead though), but I'm kinda obsessed with Lorna Shore.
I don't know if someone made a continuous vid of pain Remains I-III, but they flow together really nicely, especially part 1 going directly into part 2 and it's fantastic to listen to back to back
Instant thought we she says it's complex for the first time-it's not that much,I mean it's layered and complex for non metalheads, but tons of metal bands do "complex"deep, clever music against all shallow assuming opinion of people thinking metal is just loud music with screaming and shouting.Yes.they did genius job here with complexity and songs design, sound, brutal but emotional at the same time etc.yet it more obvious and "daily"for metalheads and expectations from this high level bands we have-the main reason listening to these.they deliver incredible moments we can experience while listening, can relate, sound, songs trigger extreme emotions and impact differently on each of us.and That's the beauty of it
No idea if it’s intentional, but the music video cuts out entirely on the “die” of melody. Boy I want it to be intentional because in the microcosm of the video that’s clever as hell.
You have to listen to the other two! The song cuts off abruptly because it flows into the next one seamlessly. Think of the 3 parts like one song instead of separate songs.
This was phenomenal, Beth! You're going to really enjoy the emotional journey of part 2 and 3.
I recently lost my grandma and I was so lost looking for music to help me cope, and finally I found this song, and the torment and pain in Will’s vocals perfectly portrays how I’m feeling. I really hope I can speak to him one day to thank him for this, her memory will forever live on for me in this song.
This trilogy was definitely an emotional rollercoaster to say the least.
Yessssss🔥🔥🔥🔥
I must say your reacton to Megadeth - Holy wars was amazing! Your beard is so feminine and luxurious too!
"A world without you isn't meant for me" that part makes me emotional every single time
It does, I have an emotional moment with that one. I'm suprised and glad Beth chose this.
Same here, I've been with my wife for 11 years and she had a very bad medical scare where she went into emergency surgery and I related to this video so much. It was so painful watching her go through everything and if I lost her I don't know what I would do.
The most heart breaking line ever
Like a gut punch
You're telling me... my mom was going through cancer treatments when i heard this. A complete emotional breakdown
I heard that in an interview Will said he wanted to bring emotion back into the genre. Lorna Shore did not fail. I believe alot of us that love this genre of music use it as a release and coping mechanism for life. It's a way to feel, be felt, handle emotion and release our anger and energy. You're gonna love them live. I saw them in October and was blown away.
@@vetchemh3 seeing them in about a month! so pumped man. They are playing the entirety of pain remains
been playing guitar forever as well, the progression of melodic heavy metal definately sits with lorna shore right now!🤟
Ever since I heard To The Hellfire for the first time, Lorna Shore has been my go-to deathcore band. Their emphasis on instrumental melodies as a counterpoint to the growling vocals opened a door for me, as did their obvious skill and precision. May they continue to take the genre to unexpected places. Great reaction, Beth!
i agree! The Album Charts are totally deserved! Normally i hear more metalcore, but they brought me into deathcore :D
Check out Left to Suffer, Fit for an Autopsy and Chelsea Grin/Darko aswell. You might enjoy those too!
Lorna Shore have never been slouches in their art, but the addition of Will did truly lift them to a higher level. But they were always incredibly talented musicians, now they have a truly charismatic frontman.
Couldnt agree more, Will is one of those artists that has a mind that is so creative and dynamic. He really has made Lorna Shore a stand out in the world of music not just metal
now that you started the journey I hope you will sit down for parts 2 & 3....
You definitely need to do part 2 and 3, it's an incredible song
These 3 pieces of music, combined with their videos are my favourite piece art from this year
It is art - pure and simple
I’m so glad you mentioned Will’s annunciation! I think that’s what sets him apart from the rest. He’s the first vocalist that does this style that I can understand literally every word.
It’s got an argument for one of the greatest love songs ever made
A couple days before this song was released I had lost a friend and when I saw they'd released a new song I was expecting something super heavy and energetic like most other songs and was not ready for something so emotional that's not something that's common with Deathcore and even though I try not to cry and try to bury everything I couldn't hold back by the end of the song, I'm definitely ready for 2022 to be over it's been a tough year.
Hope things are going better my friend
This was the last song me and my best friend, and I listened to together. I found him dead in his hotel room a few days later. 😢😢😢
please do the 2. and 3. Pain Remains as well \m/
That odd time signature is very mid 2000's. Huge "emo" rock thing. These guys did something amazing with it.
I’ve been spotted by coworkers sobbing in the car to this song.
agreed, first deathcore song to make me cry, I get chills and just well up...amazing
i love this woman dude
and I love these reactions of hers
LORNA SHORE 😍🤘💗
I adore Lorna Shore, when Will joined they quickly became my all time favorite deathcore band; that EP is amazing. Absolutely redefined deathcore for me.
I have listened to metal to sleep for years and years. Love this song and band
Whats amazing about this is no matter who I'm watching react to this, it's next to impossible to hold back the emotions that this song creates. I will never not choke up while hearing that one line of "A world without you wasn't meant for me."
See them live at your earliest convenience. Saw them last month and it was one of the best shows I'd seen in recent history.
As a long time lover of the metal genre I really appreciate it being broken down and appreciated as something more than just a "headache inducing mess".I hope videos like yours can appeal to people who never thought to give this genre a chance. Great work!
If you listen carefully that's exactly what she thought it was lol
@@jessehutchings If you listen carefully it actually wasn't lol
Superb visuals. Notice how the memories are bright with soft sunlight signifying the happiness and love only to switch to the present showing him in darkness and sharp lights signifying desperation and sadness.
Please do the second two videos. This is truly a masterpiece coming from an overlooked genre.
I find that music like this relaxes me as I find it a release as I tend to keep everything inside
"and then you disappeared, in the blink of an eye". Gets me in the soul every flipping time
The lyrics are truly beautiful
Now you have to do part 2 and 3. It’s a wonderful journey 😉
Really appreciate the subtitles for the lyrics being included too!
I wait for this long time😍 pleas react 2 and 3. Greatings from finland🇫🇮
LISTEN TO ALL THREE PARTS ONE AFTER THE OTHER… it’s so good 😢😢😢😢
Thank you for sharing your reaction to this, Beth. Reading the comments, it seems the line that brought tears to your eyes does so for many other people, too.
Woah. Gorgeous mane. Great song too! Glad you did part 2 and 3 later on as well.
you're far from my reach, but not far out of sight :( very relatable on different levels
This thing happens in real life. Thats why it hit hard
Yaaay I've been sorta expecting this unexpectedly awesome
Just wait until you react to parts 2 and 3. Chills, tears, amazing solos. Everything.
They really make you feel their music. This one is an emotional rollercoaster, as the song title suggests you're dancing like flames. Not a band to miss if you have an opportunity to witness them live!
I heard the whole trilogy on the live debut in Philly a week after the album came out. Never thought I’d have tears at a death metal show
It's very symphonic to me. I can sleep to it like a baby. It's like dark classical.
I've had 2 to many glasses of wine for this onion cutting party...gonna need to watch the rest of this tomorrow 😅
Please do the whole trilogy, it's worth it! It's heavy and worth it!
I really hope you are up for listening to parts 2 and 3 as well. Such a roller coaster of emotions
A World Without You Isn't Meant For Me is my next tattoo. Pan Remains is my favourite song rn. On repeat. Working on clean vocal cover for it
This whole trilogy embodies and explains what pain really is..... I cant not feel with this trilogy no matter how awesome the vocals and instruments are
I wish I could go back and listen to that outdo for the first time again

For sure do the trilogy, who knew deathcore ballad was a thing 🤘
Looking forward to you reacting to the rest of the trilogy
love it when you review metal songs! especially the metalcore and deathcore ones with some nice vocals
Do you remember that famous Jinger reaction?... Here we go again.
This beautiful song is like an Ode to Loss 😢 A Balladasesque Elegy for A Silenced Love
I bawled my eyes out as a full grown man in his 30s... thinking about my wife and kids.... a world without them is not ment for me...
You and the song are beautiful!
This song ends the way it does because on the album it goes directly in to part two. However, the abruptness was not an accident. The video, like life, ends abruptly and without warning.
Beth Roars and TCV should have a tea time togehter =) Discussing harsh vocals :D
It suddenly stop because it's actually a very smooth transition into Pain Remains Part 2!
Heavy in so many ways all of them unexpected holding more weight in its meaning, deathcore and metal is heavy and brutal, but this song and it’s fellow songs are very different in its brutality and heaviness beautifully poetic
The ending simulates life that (could) end abruptly
Will has some insane vocals. Definitely worth checking out and reacting to his actual one take vocal performances.
Check out "Sun Eater" . It's a great song!
Excellent. Thank you.

5:00 i was also trying to count it 🤣
a lot of time is 4/4, but with a lot of complexity, different things going over it
its incredible how hard you can make the most common rythm
Will Ramos is so incredible, that hes able to steal attention away from their amazing guitarist

Here's one with all three parts.
youre gonna have to check out the other two songs, such an amazing story
The song cuts precisely at the part of the lyric melodies where the only part we don't actually hear is "dies". This is pure art 🖤
Beth Rocks!! Checking this out.
The only frequencies I hear are of chef Ramsay yelling at someone and I fall asleep easy :)
The first time I listened to this, I was in a grocery store, not gonna lie I cried.

Good stuff!
I recommend you all to watch The Charismatic Voice. Hi Beth. Pleace react on part 2 and 3🌹🌹🌹🌹
I would love to see a reaction to parts 2 and 3.
Curious on if the fact that part 2 is educated due to graphic material if that's going to affect reaction content creators at all?
I think Will and Alex Terrible should do the voice overs for video games like "Doom" and anything similar from now on. Anyone agree?
You should listen to "To the Hellfire", the ending is spectacular!
You reacted to the first part, now you have to react to the whole trilogy.

It's a 3 part song that's why It stops abruptly. It's suppose to fade into part 2
Please react to parts 2 and 3!
I can nap to this style anytime.
