I lost my wife to a brain aneurism. This trilogy made me go through a rollercoaster of feelings. The thought process behind this is so on point. It's been over 5 years now and i'm proud to say that i managed to not get to the end of part 2. I'm still here, still trying, often struggeling but never giving up. I'm not good with words, so im thankfull for Lorna Shore to express many of my feelings in such great songs. Also Wintersun - Time, Wintersun - Loneliness, Battlebeast - Let it roar and so many more that have beatiful ways of describing painful memories and help cope with them.
They are only gone if you forget about them. Let the memories warm your soul.
My story is almost the same. I hear you.
Sorry for your loss Yrr Tum.
I kinda feel the same way about this song. When words can't adequately express how your soul feels, Will Ramos comes along and says "Let me help you express. Is this what if feels like? Lets get through this together!!"
Keep staying strong!!! 💪🙏🙏🙏💛
I am very sorry for your loss. Just know that all over the world there are people who you don't know and they don't know you but they pray for you and people in your circumstances to stay strong and find healing and peace in time. For me is the suicidal thoughts for other reasons but i found my strenght to fight in music cause i have no other support system. Keep getting stronger and be an example for the people around you, a guiding light when they are lost. All my respect to you.
I agree with Wintersun and Battle Beast, even 9 years later I miss my best friend and as dumb as it is I still find myself wondering if there was something I could've done and I know that way of thinking only brings more pain but I can't help it
Will has stated a lot that he wants to bring emotion to deathcore. He's definitely succeeded with this one.
You'll definitely need to prepare for part three.
Each part was an emotional gut-punch, but the finale was on another level. Im not ashamed to admit I was ugly-crying for quite some time after it had finished
When will says I’d rather F***** die I felt that in my soul
i love that you are reacting to these, i definitely feel like this trillogy has kinda pushed heavy music into a direction that speaks to more people.
also, the sudden stops are because the 3 songs are supposed to be listened to in 1 go, they lead into eachother perfectly.
It's also an allegory to how when someone dies, it's not gradual. One second they're here and the next they're gone without a trace. I feel it captures that feeling perfectly because it just makes you want to hear the conclusion of the note
1 doesn't lead into 2 that well. The transition is rather jarring. 2 leads into 3 just fine.
@@jasongodwin1319 Huh? Imo the transition between 1 and 2 is absolutely fantastic, way more emotion inducing than betwee 2 and 3
this trilogy is something that more people need to be shown, thanks for reacting to it... oh, part 3 makes everyone cry, so get ready...
The entire album is a masterpiece.
Thank you for tackling the art that is the Pain Remains trilogy. It's heartbreaking to watch and listen to, but so very human and beautiful. Will has said he wants to write sad songs, and he delivers. The whole album is a masterpiece, one I never would have even listened to 2 years ago. Lorna Shore has something special that is rare, especially in extreme metal.
Honestly I think a lot of credit needs to go to Adam DeMico (lead guitar). His melodies really tug at your heart strings in a way that a lead vocal would normally do. It’s a big part of why their music manages to be so brutal and emotional at the same time, along with Will’s amazing vocals. If “After All That I’ve Done Will I disappear?” doesn’t get you you haven’t lived.
I think Andrew O'Connor (rhythm guitarist) did a lot of the symphony/orchestra on this album if I remember right from him in an interview!
@@TheRedAnvil40 interesting! Do you remember which interview that was?
This song is one of the saddest I've listened/watched when it comes to music because the pain they're talking about is so REAL
At the moment of the "cut", the main melody also changes key (moving up to the minor third). The song is such an emotional rollercoaster, that Beth paused the video and missed that moment! It is one of my favorite uses of a key chnage in a real long time... There is gonna be a really nice use of a similar effect in the beginning of part III...
The best type of art is one that forces you to think, contemplate, and challenge yourself by evoking emotions, Lorna did an excellent job at that
Cant wait for part 3, amazing reaction as always! This trilogy is an absolute masterpiece
I think they perfectly captured the mindset of hurt, traumatized mindset, as you aptly pointed out. I also think in tackling loss and suicide they're also helping people know they aren't alone, you don't have to do this. The song was largely written out of guitarist Adam's recent severe depression. Thank you for getting it
This thrilogy is how losing someone feels. Spot on. 😭💔❤
There was some head banging during that first breakdown! Beth roared!
When you read the lyrics you feel the pain, anger and fustration of losing someone dear
You have such a big and empathetic heart, Beth! ❤❤❤
So underated reaction video.
Congrats.
Watching you from México Thanks for such great content.
Thank you so much!
It's cool when death metal falls out of the fantasy realm and enters into music videos that you can relate to. In reality. The music draws such a motion with your heart rate. It's almost magical.
The floodgates open when that drum fill hits right before the blade is shown.
can not wait for pt3. be prepared though, its gunna hit you like a freight train with all emotions
They figured out to do the most sad trilogy possible in the most brutal way possible. I got it through the music without the vids. The vids just make almost burn it into life
One of the things I love from the videos is the visual themes of rain in the first one, snow in the second and fire in the third
I love the way you feel the sound, i feel i'm not alone
5:36 I always thought the guitar at this time sounds like the pattern of someone breathing while they’re crying, The slight hyperventilation and then the holding of the breath.

This trilogy will go down in history as one of the greatest emotional masterpieces ever written in music. The music and storytelling here is as immaculate as it can possibly get. This to me is really a higher form of art. This is real human pain exposed to us all, and given time we ALL loose a loved one because no one is after all immortal. This whole album and the concept by which it is written are pure genius in every single way. It will stay on repeat here for a very very long time to come. Cheers Beth, and the best wishes for next year !
I adore when you are you when you show your real emotion.
I understand that the general music of "deathcore" isn't for everyone, heck I barely can listen to most...but this goes beyond just the music and is a complete artistic piece. I really hope they win massive accolades for this series. It brings the feels all the way.
Love your reaction, i can't wait for your reaction of part III.
Thank you for this!
Having grown up in the 80s getting leered at for listening to music like this, I still cannot believe sometimes that posh people now enjoy growls.
Lorna Shore painted their Mona Lisa with this trilogy
I 100% cried the first time I heard this.
Any chance of geting subtitles like on the first video??
Love the way you are doing this with your reaction to both vocal and musical buildup.
it is unusual for you Beth for not talking too much about the technicality of the the song but the emotional aspect ... can't blame you of how beautiful this song is . 😁🤘
Lorna Shore helps Beth ROAR!! 👍🤘! Great vid!
Thanks to reacting 🙂 i like your videos thank you so much. Greating from finland 🇫🇮
I'm with you, music can make me so emotional. It's a blessings and a curse
I love her voice.
I lost my dad 5 months ago to liver cancer. And this song made me relive the emotional rollercoaster again. And probably one of the very few songs that made 😭
Holy crap!!! This one was hard 😢
Hi beth. love the reaction. This entire 3 piece is written from the guitarist point of view. Basically its a big chunck of his life which makes it even more real.
I cant watch this video cause I cry my eyes out every time
That's not entirely accurate. The music itself, he did write most of (riffs, melodies, etc) but the lyrics were all done by will (singer) who didn't turn to any specific events for inspiration afaik, but wanted to just write the "saddest lyrics possible" iirc
Great job as always, Beth! Now then...I was wondering if you could do a reaction video to the Beatles classic "Let It Be", but the original version (Or even the version from the Get Back documentary.) I fell you would give the song justice. Plus, it's Paul McCartney!
metal has always had the most emotional songs
Metallllll!!!!🌎
If you like story-based lyrics you have to listen to La Dispute, they're the best at it. King Park is their most famous song
Its a very emotionell video. Will Ramos voice is both scary and beautiful.
I absolutely love the whole album and the pain remains trilogy is and absolute masterpiece. Something I hear about the second song is that without the video it doesn’t carry the same emotion, but I would beg to differ completely. If you read the lyrics it actually reads out like a suicide note (I think that is the point).
Beth, can you explain to me what the attraction for vocal coaches seem to be for metal of often the loudest kind?
Metal conjures the brutal honesty.
"I hope hes ok." *coughs and looks away..*
Oh Beth, sweetheart, please prepare yourself for part 3
Those quiet outro screams were soooo errie
I watched this while you had 666k subs
Highly recommended - Sinead O'Connor - Chiquitita: ua-cam.com/video/a7IuSajxPNQ/v-deo.html Have the lyrics (and tissues) at hand for extra impact. Warning :this is not straight-up ABBA, but the best ABBA cover I've heard. You're looking for comfort in dire times? This is for you.
Disculpa mi ignorancia no es la misma canción anterior pero diferente vídeo gracias
Make sure to remember the melody of the chorus for when you listen to Pt. III. No reason, just saying...
умничка
I think I found the right voice
It's been scientifically proven that listening to metal music decreases feelings of hostility, stress, and aggressiveness. Some of us have known this for a long time and it heals us.
My heart breaks for everyone in reality that goes through this, and everyone emotionally compromised through this trilogy. 🫂, Beth.
Afarin
Please reaction to Ado’s "Tot musica"!
Oh my, Beth is so sensitive!
Merci !
Thank you!
Great video, btw they're Deathcore, not Metalcore. Symphonic/melodic Deathcore specifically.
Ya need to listen to some good old underoath
hello dear beth . i sent the songs for you . what's your idea. salar
Time of commenting, the sub count is 666(k)...
Can you please please react to yen by Slipknot 🙏🤘
آفرین خوشگله
I'm sorry for saying this but the lyrics don't say "don't disappear" they say "i'll disappear"
With no video there is no way the message gets out because there is no way you can decipher the lyrics.....AND I LISTEN TO THIS TYPE OF MUSIC
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 como se puede analizar una voz asi? De perro ladrando hahaha
I honestly can't tell what language he is using, let alone any lyrics. It's super frustrating.
Sucks how long you're taking between these. They hit so much harder when you watch them consecutively
Yall cry too much 😆 it's a song.
holy yo I am getting sick of all these Lorna Shore vocal reviews and dont get me wrong here I absolutely love this band been listening to them for years now but the new singer is not much different then any other brutal singer out there if you really want to hear an unique singer check out Stomp of Typhon - The Shift EP that singer has some of the craziest lows I have heard in awhile and there are many other bands out there
you're a couple months late
I can't understand a word this band is saying, what the fuck is everyone talking about?!
I just wish he would be more like his own style, instead of trying to be like CJ
najs track ...very cool react ... GREETINGS FROM POLAAAND ! :D
