    51 year old skater - very sore after a 3-hour bowl session two days ago in high heat. Found this video this morning. Thanks so much for posting - wish I found it 3 years ago! It smoothed out the hipper I took and really helped loosen my back, feet, hips, legs, hands, and especially shoulders, which were cracking like crazy!

    Motivate day 28. March 2023. Got a fit of the giggles practicing without my eyeballs. 😂 lovely practice especially after a short run.
    Play day 20. October 2022. Don’t remember doing this before. Great for stretching out the legs and the whole body. Nice pace. Was a little wobbly on left foot, but managed the balance on my right foot.

    Such a lovely yoga practice. My leg feel so calm and restored 💕. Wanted to make a video suggestion: yoga for sensory overload. Would love something for those who struggle with outside noise and overwhelming situations x

      Have you tried the last session of her 30 Days of Yoga series? She has the mic off, so it's quiet you just follow along by looking at the screen periodically. Very calming and soothing.

    finished the practice today with a big smile on my face. :) I love waking up with yoga. Even when I really dont feel like it, i always leave the mat feeling better than when I got on.

      33 and right there with you. My cardio is good my brain is solid but without these stretches the most I could make it at the skate park was 15 min. Everything would lock up. After 2 times I was able to make 45 min the last session. If I can keep this up all winter I will be solid for the spring. Thank you.

    March Day 28! Today has been an emotional day for me. It would have been my mom’s 72nd birthday but she passed from cancer back in 2016. It’s been a while since the grief has hit me this hard but yoga has taught me to allow myself to feel what I’m feeling and how I can help make myself feel better so thank you so much!

    So different. I had never done this sequence before. I thoroughly enjoyed it and hope you do too. I did find it brought up a bit of emotion. Be sure to follow Adriene's advice at 21:19 and "keep your eyeballs if you have them".

    I found this slow self love practice super relaxing, in fact the first half on our backs made me yawn a little, a lot ! 😆Yummy stretches for the legs and side body and despite my senior yogi arthritis feet, I was proud of my balancing today, breathing deep and focusing on a flower in my garden 🌺 awesome 😊 see you tomorrow for some maintenance maybe 🤔 ? The calendar is flying by ! 🧘🏼‍♀️🧘🏻‍♀️🙏💕

      I love how you described this to be “slow self love” it got me to start it up after not practicing for a while. I finally got my second vaccine a week and a half ago and I’ve been having flare ups every day.
      I love that you are able to see a flower from your yoga mat! It’s too bad we can share pictures on here.
      I am saving this one as a favorite! I love all the detailed guidance and imagery! 🦎

      So pleased I tempted you back on the mat Laura 😉 and that you are double vaccinated 👏👏 but you are unlucky to have a reaction to it, waking up those demons. I was lucky but I know many who were like you 🤨 I’m going to save this practice too. I really enjoyed the way Adriene tweets the details, makes all the difference 😊 funny that you say you wish we could share photos, as it was such a lovely summer morning today and I had my door open for fresh air, so I took a photo from my yoga mat 😂 if I could I would send it to you !     How difficult is it to separate your ego from your body while working with it? I see models putting up yoga videos, wearing clingy clothes and the idea is to attract through the body (though i don't doubt their focus on the practice). I come to Adriene with a certain respect for how she's been able to keep her head over heart and the heart over pelvis as she tells us through all her practices. Gratitude. Namaste.

      That's also why I'm here. I went ice-skating the first time in more than a here, and stretched my groin badly while practicing to turn around. I love the yoga for swimmer's for what it's worth.

    I just did this for the first time today. I loved it, it wasn't too hard which is what really puts me off yoga in general. I skate as a hobby and I'm going to try and do this every morning before the kids wake up. Thank you.

    Finally back for MOTIVATE March 2023 after almost 3 weeks of a break. It feels so good to be back. :)

    For everybody who needs to hear this: it is NEVER too late to start. You don't need to wait for the beginning of a new month / the new year / a perfect moment (because that moment will never come!) to start something new or pick up where you have left off.
    TODAY and RIGHT NOW is the perfect time to start or get back into a healthy routine.

    Skated daily for 30 years. Couple reco structive surgeries, countless slams and In my 40's now. my body feels like a bag of broken glass walking around. Can confirm that yoga is very, very helpful to practice when yer old and broken. For real. Wish I had known the benefits decades ago. This lady is rad and understands it's not about poses or style.. it's about function and feeling well. Thank you for this channel.

    Wow! I am not a skater and at first, I was disappointed to see this one on the calendar 📅. Boy was I wrong! Adriene said that it was good for people who want to balance the left and right sides of the body. I feel so much better!

    I've been struggling with lower back pain for about a year, and this was the first practice in a long time that I managed to complete without pain, without having to modify. I've refused to give up my daily YWA practice because of pain, because it is my happy place. And finally it feels like I'm back on track. So very grateful for this channel ❤

    recovering from an twisted ankle and not being able to skate for 2 weeks has really bummed me out. however, doing your practices to not only keep my body moving and active, but also strengthen and get me feeling my best asap has really kept me inspired and determined.     This was perfect for me today! I've been stressed and emotional the last few days, and it resulted in tension and pain in my neck and shoulders. This practice focused on those areas in such a helpful way. Motivate Day 28 complete!

    I've been doing this routine daily after my calisthenics for at least a year now. Game changer. The biggest difference for me was increased awareness through the soles of my feet. Very helpful on the board! It would be cool to see a part 2. I feel like you have more to offer us skaters ;)

    This feels soooooo good after a long, hard roller derby practice. Even though we aren't doing any contact at the moment because of COVID, it really helps with derby position and lower back pain. I love you Adriene!

    Went for a rollerskate yesterday. Love skating so much, it's the most freeing, fun thing to do. So this was a lovely practice ☺️

    I’ve got to admit that I’ve been struggling to enjoy the last few days of shift for various reasons but this practice has made me feel amazing and my love for yoga has returned!

    I've been skating for two years. For the past year I have been struggling with multiple skate related injuries. I really just want to feel better so I can skate regularly again. I am so happy I found this video. I loved it! Thank you so much.

    I had what I call a down/bad/MS day yesterday and was in so much pain. I know my limitations and I listen to my body and I’m always FWFG and Adriene has helped me with my MS as yoga helps tremendously!!! For whatever reason yesterday may have been painful but I did not give up instead I did some meditation and today with yoga for Skaters has me feeling better and I’m ready to ease back into my routine. I’m thankful for yoga with Adriene 🙏🏽
