"Okay, wiseguys. You obviously wanted me to catch him. Now what do I do?" -Wile E. Coyote. I may have messed that up a little, but the point still stands.
I got an alert for a second reply, which quoted his sign, but I can't see the comment or even see the alert anymore. Stupid UA-cam. I even tried switching from Top to Newest comments, which often works.
I got the same alert. It's possible that the commenter deleted the post for whatever reason. Happens on occasion. I'm actually guessing that to be the case since I'm seeing your post along with the alert for 2 replies to your initial comment.
Scratch that last. I'm looking back at the replies section and realizing that I'm actually only seeing my first response, although the "down arrow 4 replies" is showing, and every time I click on it only shows my one first reply. Don't even know if you'll see this.
Living in Southern California, I've seen my fair share of coyotes wandering around in, sometimes, the most unlikely of places. And the sounds of a pack of coyotes on a hunt is kind of eerie even if you do know what the sound is. Lastly, one of the reasons that Wile E. Coyote is my favorite Looney Tunes character is because he is a "genius" coyote who absolutely never gives up despite endless setbacks, pain, and disappointment.
Coyote is probably my favorite mythical figure if I absolutely had to choose just one. This video is excellent, and I'd be very glad to see more episodes about Coyote. There is so much variety in the stories told about him!
tricksters are real. they can control humans like puppets. they can shapeshift. a trickster controlled me before a few times(either iktomi, coyote, or Wisakedjak). and my tv shapeshifted before.
Coyote is among my most favorite of cultural figures and one of the most famous examples of the trickster archetype I wrote a report on Native American mythology for an assignment once, and mentioned Coyote, including a tale where he entered a cave and inside found many people half-starved and and trapped becuz the cave was actually the mouth of a giant and they (Coyote and thz people) were trapped in the giant's belly. Coyote helped the people by first telling them to cut the fatty flesh of the stomach walls for them to eat, causing the giant great pain so he would open his mouth. Coyote then led the people out to their freedom, thus Coyote had gotten the best of the giant while saving these people
I like and admire the coyote its not like the wolf but it is a survivor and very cunning ... Nice upload and very interesting, engjoyed it. 💫 The native Indians holded respect for the coyote.
Every culture on the face of the Earth have legends of Were Creatures. What sets Native American Were Creatures is not only could people transform into animals, animals could transform into people. Hence the story of the Owl man who wanted to marry a human woman. He had difficulty in convincing her father to concent because owls were considered unlucky. Then there was the story of (either Apache or Comanche) man whose wife was kidnapped by a Buffalo turned human.
As part of my coursework, I researched and wrote about Native American mythology and the legendary figure of Coyote. One of his adventures was entering a cave and discovering a group of people stuck there, half-starved and ensnared by the giant's mouth. He was in excruciating pain from opening his jaw since Coyote instructed the people to consume the fatty tissue off the stomach walls. After guiding the people to safety, Coyote vanquished the giant and set them free.
Is it a coincidence that this was posted a few hours before the Phoenix Coyotes NHL team played their final game? Also, the conclusion to this video was fantastic. Really profound stuff.
I can't remember the myth exactly but when I was a child I read a story about how cyote dressed up and joined in some dancing in one of the tribal feasts!
I’d love to hear more tales of Coyote; yet I never knew that Coyote is related to huehuecoyotl somehow. But I think both beings are separate; I might be wrong though

Hermes was associated with coyotes. The Egyptian counterpart has literally the head of a jackal. They are usually associated with death. They are also called "song dogs" which hermes was said to be even better at musical instruments and song than Apollo himself. He was known to have a "Hankering for flesh" and in some myths would "lay on his back with his legs in the air, because he had not received sacrifices of meat" His offerings consisted of raw meat most of the time. Today, coyotes are so resilient and cunning that farmers cannot kill them off. They tried everything and it only made the coyotes smarter and bolder. So, they literally leave meat out for them because it's cheaper than trying to kill them or letting them kill entire groups of livestock.
I like the one where he finally catches the roadrunner.
Yeah, but unfortunately the coyote was way too small to take advantage of the catch.

Renard the fox 🦊 is depicted on a building owned by Anheuser Busch, in St. Louis, MO. Drinking a mug of Bevo. It's beautiful to see.

I've been given substantial reason to believe that the same fate befell one of my cats a few years ago.
Sorry about your doggy

Coyote was friendly in Spirit Rangers.
The first time i herd about Coyote was from a creation myth website called the big myth.
So trickster Coyote can be both good and evil. Like Fox Spirits in Asian culture
Thanks for the good video
Coyote got his named because he was running on NDN time (5 minutes or 5 hours) the day they were giving out names 10.000 years ago
I know the trickster coyote or the desert coyote of legend. But folklore come from plenty of cultures
I always liked the Coyote. The Trickster of the original people.
I’d love to hear more tales of Coyote; yet I never knew that Coyote is related to huehuecoyotl somehow. But I think both beings are separate; I might be wrong though
There's a old Navajo story about how Metor Crater
He Threw a stone because he kept tripping over it
Are there any folk tales with female tricksters in them in any culture?
🕯️🐺🤘🕯️
Old Navajo Story
Coyote wanted to marry the Bear Maiden
He asked what her requirements were
One was to kill a giant
So he tricked the giant to break his ankle to run faster
The giant believe him and broke his ankle
Right when the giant couldnt fight back
So Coyote deleted the giant
