I just made this but I used frozen blackberries that I completely defrost and blended(juice and all) then strained. Then added sugar and the liquid along with lime juice in a pot and reduced until very thick. Made blackberry swirls and it came out delicious! Thank you!

The loaf turned out very moist. You could use extra lemon juice if you are a fan of the lemony flavor. Overall, a great recipe!

Just made this. Just subbed out the yogurt with heavy cream because I didnt have yogurt or sour cream on hand. I also ran out of vanilla extract of all things and used almond extract. OMG this came out soooo good. The berries bursting inside the cake makes it so moist inside. I also really like it with the almond hit so think it was a good sub. Thank you! I was going to take it for a party tomorrow but my family jumped on it so guess I will have to make another haha. I bought your book because I love your recipes. Have yet to run into one I dont like! You are the best!

Hi! You'll need 1 1/2 tsp of baking powder for this recipe. You can find the full list of ingredients here: tatyanaseverydayfood.com/blueberry-lemon-bread/

Bake at 350 for 25 min before checking with t pick. Continue as needed. These are very forgiving, smile, and to die for delish. I used 3 mini loaf pans.

I continue to have a loaf that doesn't seem to rise. Yes, I've got fresh baking powder. Any suggestions?

Hi Al! I'm so sorry the recipe isn't working for you. When you add in the flour, are you mixing for a long time? Make sure to mix the flour in just until it's incorporated. Overmixing the flour can cause the batter to be too heavy and then the bread won't rise.

@@TatyanasEverydayFood I'll give that a try, thank you for the response.

I was wondering, can I use whole wheat flour instead of the all purpose? Do I need to change anything from the recipe if I do?

Hi! I personally haven't tried this recipe with whole wheat flour but it should work well! The bread will be a little denser than if made with regular flour. Enjoy!

You do need some type of either milk, buttermilk or even sour cream.
