JINGLE ALL THE WAY is the movie by Brian Levant.

My favorite moment is when he holds the figure up triumphantly shouting “YES!” as the crowd screams in support. Pure magic.
All those days of sacrificing time out of his life to try to buy a doll that brings happiness to his child culminating in him cosplaying as the doll holding Turboman!
I like the bit just before when he starts waving and actually having fun just forgetting about his dilemma for a few minutes

That's how I react whenever I find any NECA Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figures I've been hunting for for weeks or even months in either Wal-Mart or Target.
It's just the feeling of happiness that you're finally able to get your hands on what you've been looking for.

I remember this movie. Brings happy tears to my eyes. It was a family tradition to watch this christmas eve, few years later my dad died. But we still watch this in his memory 😢
I too watch this movie every year on Christmas Eve as part of my (personal) tradition.
A few years ago, we also got Die Hard added to the tradition.
My younger brother (who passed away in 2018) loved the Die Hard movies, so whenever I watch Die Hard (we only have the 1st movie)...
I feel like he's there in the living room with me watching the movie.
The same goes for my Dad (who also passed away in 2018, but at a later date) who also sometimes watched that movie.
Sometimes, it helps to feel like your deceased loved 1 is there in the living room with you watching the movie that he/she enjoyed.
It brings back good memories.

The part that made me laugh was after the mascot got knocked down. You see the ornament mascots walk up to him to see if they’re alright. The context just makes it great IMO

@@amylee8969 That's probably only because it was almost time for Turbo Man to come out and the parade director was mostly in a hurry to get Arnold dressed into the costume than listen to him talk since he thought Arnold was the understudy for the parade because the real person called out from injury. However, I wonder would want have happened if the real understudy showed up and if Arnold didn't walk into that room, the director wouldn't have had anyone to dress as Turbo Man and either the Turbo Man spot would have been cancelled or Booster would have to go out alone.
I love it when the guitar kicks in when Arnold appears.

Turbo Man looks like a combination of Iron Man and the Rocketeer. Honestly, this holiday film goes unnoticed. Arnold and Sinbad made this very entertaining and funny.
I remember being a kid watching this and being amazed and joyful that a man like Arnold Schwarzenegger (young enough to confuse actor with character) still hugged his toys even though he was a big, strong grownup. Like, “He doesn’t even care what the big kids or other adults say! We’re gonna be best friends forever Teddy!”
It was more like he was excited to finally get his son a Christmas present.

Yeah I agree after all the stress he went through and burden as he saw trying to find a peice of plastic to make his son happy, he started to have fun and understand what it meant to Jamie, up until the point he had the doll on his hand, only for Jamie to appreciate the fact that his dad was turbo man, it wasn't the peice of plastic at all at the end

The turbo man theme is just epic and those dudes in the guitar gave me goosies..
I love when he's on the float and that child like joy on his face. Like this dude went thru Hell to make his son happy then once he's in that parade float he's just having the time of his life 'this is cool' 'I could get into this' 😄

They released one in 1996 when the movie came out, and last year they rereleased the Turbo Man action figure, and they're available on the Walmart website
Watching this movie, it was Jake Llyod that stood out more to me than Arnold Schwarzenneggar, as I'd watched Star Wars a few months earlier, hadn't been familiar with the Terminator, or at least who the actor was. All I noticed was Skywalker had a very tough dad.

This movie only gets better with age. Not an "instant classic", but definitely now a classic.

I'm like that whenever I find that 1 hard to find action figure for my collection & it's mostly Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles stuff in this case, but sometimes Star Wars stuff.
I can be like that, especially if I have 3/4 of the turtles from 1 specific line/wave at home & I finally manage to find that 4th 1 I've been missing to complete the team usually at Wal-Mart, Target or GameStop.
But I was also kind of like that when I found, cracked & bought a used NES to play all my NES games again since the 3rd party clone I had bit the dust.
