I don't know about other people but I came here from your other channels and am really enjoying it! But I don't watch other Lego channels so I would like to see the modular being built as I won't see it else where.
Hey! Don’t mean to self promote but my whole channel is basically building Modular’s for my city if you ever wanted to seek something like that! If not, have a good day!
I like your idea of showing us the rebrickables, and special sets like the castle and batman art. This is the right focus for me. The city problem solving is also a good focus. Im not a big fan of shopping hauls videos, but thats purely down to the fact that if i see something i like in those, I'll probably buy it too. And life is already expensive enough 😂😂
The shopping hauls get the most views and they’re easy to make, so they’ll be sticking around. But hopefully as part of a nice mix with the other stuff
the city is looking awesome under Gonzo's watchful eye. Anna's room and builds are very cool. Am jealous of your Donald Duck brickhead. My favourite Disney character and nearly brought him while in Copenhagen last christmas, but only had hand luggage, and had brought 2 of the Christmas Muppet funkos you couldnt get here, so didnt have room. And then of course you cant get it anymore. If only there'd been a little Kev voice saying buying it and take it out the box and just squeeze the bags in, which is immediately what I'd think now
If it is just following the LEGO instructions... not so much But you figuring out how to MILS plate it, integrating it into your city doing it as a revere build, or modding part of it - that is interesting
I'm really enjoying this series, however I'm just wondering where the left side train tunnel is going to come out. From the earlier videos it looked like it was going to come out of the front of the raised section, now it kind of seems to be coming out the side and running right under the edge of the raised section?
The edge of the wooden board isn’t necessarily the edge of the raised platform, there’ll be MILS plates on top and a wall on the side so the plan is for the train to run fully underneath it. I can move it in half a baseplate if it doesn’t fit when the time comes
@@blockpartyuk Right, got you. I move into a bigger apartment in a few months time and will have a dedicated Lego room. After seeing your city, I'm def going to go the way of a raised area at the back, much less space lost to the train. I think I'm going to put the tram on the top level though and have it running back and forth, trying to decide whether to use the holiday main street tram or the new city tram, I'm tilting more to main street as I think it fits the feeling of the modular buildings more than the new one, and I think it's going to be easier to motorise
Agree entirely on your thoughts about what is interesting to watch. Definitely the unique problem solving. if you are going to go too heavy into particular builds just do so for mocs/non official/rare stuff.
I’d be one who votes for too much being built with no reference to it/look at it. Even if they were just shorts of a closer look at the builds or a short video review of them. Just seeing it appear with no context or real idea of what the builds really look like/include doesn’t work, makes the city less interesting to follow as apart from the small at a distance looks in this video, I still have no clue what the majority of the sets you have added look like.
I’ve only added currently available sets that have been covered hundreds of times on other channels, and are readily available to buy. If I add something more unique, then I’ll show it in more detail, but I think it’s pretty safe to assume the vast majority of the viewership know the Natural History Museum or the Avengers Tower by now, and if they don’t, most of them probably aren’t interested enough to want to see them in detail now.
I don’t think that’s true at all. I found you originally on a Disney Vlog years ago. Have since watched the football manager stuff and now this, we have a bigger Lego collection than you, that we’ve been collecting for over a decade (Lego was even part of our wedding!) and we haven’t seen half the stuff you’ve added to the city. So more casual “kev” viewers won’t have seen most of it I’d guess. Me and my wife have been watching your content for years and being big Lego collectors ourselves were interested in the concept you outlined of seeing you build a city from beginning to end. Like you said yourself in an earlier video that’s rare to see. But by adding massive amounts off camera and not really even showing them it feels like you are missing your goal of showing the city take shape completely due to the excitement of building lots off camera (which I understand too as Lego is fun!) but it has made the city content (at least for us) less interesting.
what's your favorite modular? out of every modular made, non marvel.Love your videos came from your other channel been watching the years, love how your making a lego city its gonna look amazing
@@blockpartyuk Ah, thanks Kev mate. Appreciate that. 👍🏻 It's my new baby and passion. I should have started this a long time ago! Really enjoying the Lego community. And thanks to you, DJI are now £89 better off as I've just bought the Mic 2 solo pack. 👍🏻😄
@@blockpartyuk you do! The appeal is wearing it under the shirt and it still sounding good, and not looking intrusive with just that little magnet on show. Ideal for vlogging out and about 👍🏻 It arrives tomorrow....mildly excited!😂
Because it would make the whole process take much longer! Building is more likely to be on streams and TikToks, and for newer or smaller sets. Big sets like modulars, that aren’t particularly clickable anymore on UA-cam, I don’t see much benefit in doing it. Unless I managed to find a really rare one.
is lego paying you to make these videos ... ?? not hating but in the last month it seems like 100 new lego channels have popped up, just wondering if lego is paying loads of influencers for this
I don't know about other people but I came here from your other channels and am really enjoying it! But I don't watch other Lego channels so I would like to see the modular being built as I won't see it else where.
I do really like all of the work you have done with the city so far. I can't wait to see what else you are going to do with the city.
There’ll be some of that in streams, especially for the newer ones. Just not everything.

Yeah, that’s my thoughts on it too
I agree about building sets off Camara then adding them to the city
You'll need wile e coyote by the tunnel on the raised section!!
Excellent idea!

Great Job Kev

Looking forward to seeing you integrate the tram lines into the roads 😊
Should be relatively straightforward from what I can tell
Love the Cada set you are incorporating, it was a fun build
Yeah, I couldn’t resist an underground station!

Assembly Square will take some beating!
It's certainly coming along. Looking good 👍🏻
Thanks! Been enjoying your channel, keeps coming up on my recommended so you’re doing something right in the algorithm!

Sweet update. First time watcher and commenter. Good to see another UK brick builder! City looking good, looking forward to see what’s next
Welcome aboard!
Nice City
Thanks!
LEGO City is looking good
Thanks!
Big theme park would look amazing 🤠
I’m certainly collecting a lot of theme park stuff that’s going to need to go somewhere…
Bro did you previously stream and make videos on football manager?
I still do!
Big fan mate loving the content from you and Anna on this channel, keep it up 💪
Thank you 🙌
Looks great good job 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
The bristol store has the dragon sitting on the bridge like the box.
I’ll never believe it!
Great video. Are they Billy bookcases from IKEA?
Yes. All the furniture across the 2 rooms is from Ikea. There’s a video right at the start of the process where we show exactly what we got
Hi Kev, do you know the name of the shelves from Ikea that you had the Batman set on? Love the vids :)
Mosslanda I think
Just leaving a comment for my friend Al Gore Rhythm
He appreciates it
Why don't you record just your hands building the modular buildings and then upload them as speed builds?
I'd like to see some more building.
That's fair enough. Was just an idea. Very much enjoying your lego content
I thought it was a decent size city but from what i am looking it looks cramped
It’s not a particularly big room unfortunately, stupid modern UK houses! I plan to expand with a couple more tables though
