Great video man as a new Tilta float owner still have trouble with my drop. Running the bmpcc6k and sigma art 18-35, when I do the drop my float sways to the right. I think I tried almost every thing. 2 v mount batteries balance the gimbal on the float horizontal and just the rs2 alone then mount on the float Very frustrating. Will post a video
I think you have a twist in your post . There is a little bit of play when you adjust the post and it creates macroscopic spiral. But a long scale spiral turns more and more. That's why when you drop your float it makes 8 shape movement. Also if you look on top where you gimbal connects to NATO rail and goes in to NATO clamp, if you look super close you will notice it's not perfectly straight it likes to lean slightly to the right this is a known issue some people get it some don't some care some don't. I'm super ocd when it comes to precision. There was the first thing I noticed when I got my float and that's what started my modification journey. I actually modified my top I took four screws the holes the top nato clamp and I turned it one rotation that way the whole sits side to side and mini lever handle facing down. Then I found specialty low profile nature rail with a large holes in it like 3/8 and 1/4-20 I then installed manfrotto quick release clamp and I used the plate to be connected with 3/8 holes on the bottom of the power plate. This allows extreme stability without any room for error on top of that it allows my gimbal hybrid and quickly be transferred to different system. Sometime I like my gimbal on the tripod sometime I like it on DIY ring or other types of systems. Soon I'll be making a little video about the top mod so stay tuned.
@@camerariggingmods9667 yeah something is up. I had it for a about 5 days and I mean spent almost 8hrs watching almost every UA-cam video out on the float multiple times the arri trinity video and the videos for the float are edit unlike the arri trinity. I believe yours is the best I seen but they should have a compatible list. You buy it to expect it to work but you need to mod it which can be frustrating for the non mechanical guys in the field. I tried again and got so frustrated it’s heading back to adorama tomorrow… 1500$ for the float you need v mount batteries then extra mods for the belt, pendulum, nato rail, monitor support I mean it’s not so cheap. I’ll send you a video so you can see but man I appreciate the response.
hi brother thanks for all what you do just want to ask you from where i can desactivate the pan and keep the tilt on the joystick because a looked on tne RS2 and APP and tilta remoute and i find is speed and smouthness thanks a lot againe
What is the stand that you're using please? :) ps your videos are really useful to be honest, particularly how spontaneous they feel, would love to see a full set-up, balance, operate video! Kinda like a A2Z, just got my float system and would be useful to just follow one youtuber that I can actaully listen to for an hour hahaha
Important info in all youR DOING W THIS! Hope you get a cut when your mods become the standard in making affordable PROFESSIONAL EQUIPTMENT .. indeed ineed.THANK YOU
Interesting video again, thanks. How did you turn off ability to turn camera left and right with PF mode? Is there a setting for that? It would be very useful to know, it is true that it is difficult to push the thumb always in the right directions just to tilt up and down, without other movements.
Hey I have a few questions. Is there a way to power the camera from the batteries on the bottom? And what do I get to extend where I hold it so I can have a monitor and the controller further away like you have it? I just bought this so I’m new to everything.

I would almost be tempted to use two of those adjustable plates.... that way you could have X and Y adjustment both be incremental
It helps a lot
