Hey mat, quick question, did you try the CAMVATE 360 Swivel VMount Battery Plate and it not work? Seems like the answer to this solution instead of each individual part, and it may be a smoother swing in the swivel..??

Hi there, this is a really creative solution. I was curious, is there a way i can remove the sled from the bottom of my digitalfoto thanos pro x and add this? Any thoughts or recommendations? It’s so annoying to balance the thanos pro x.

I think it's possible with some modifications brother but digital foto actually makes nice mechanical pendulum designed for your rig!

@@camerariggingmods9667 thank you so much for taking the time to answer. Can you explain the benefit of the pendulum weights? What does it make easier? I haven't been able to pin it down.

This looks pretty nice. Have you found a way to rig those two batteries to power the RS2 and the whole camera package?

Hey there, I'm having the same problem. Many thanks from berlin. So your entire counterweight is this DIY pendulum now?

    • @camerariggingmods9667

Yes sir. I also added little smallrig Tripod with 3/8 on it to the accessorie plate and it looks beautiful! If you don't have your float stand and you need to set it down you unfold the tripod and ready to go.

@@camerariggingmods9667 Thanks for your quick response. So you are using the DIY pendulum instead of the tilta pendulum or instead of the entire counterweight? Your entire counterweight in the first video is much heavier than this DIY Pendulum. Just to be sure :)

@@felixroben6686 so in the first video I build nice battery SLED like SteadiCam with two Tilta Pendulums because one was not enough but in the video I am using 14mm small lens. When I put my main lens back on 28-70 f2 rf 4lbs lens lol I realised my entire set up is so heavy that my float arm reached the limits that's when I started to experiment with diy Pendulum and single battery and much more. After all this time I came up with best solution to reduce weight is by turning my own battery in to Pendulum. But my goal was to make it as cheap as officiant as possible by only using Amazon so most of the people have easy experience shopping for the device I made. I was trying to replicate Arri trinity Pendulum weights so it has friction control for the weighs aka battery in our case. So yes I am 100 using my battery Pendulum as of now. Add me on Facebook "Vaho Mat" I'll show you pics

Thanks for the build video!! I put together the sled and I am having no luck!! : ( The Float returns to horizontal no matter what I do. What is your balancing procedure? I must be missing something!!

    • @camerariggingmods9667

Put Battery Pendulum little bit more towards you that way it's pushing the bottom away from you just a little bit and let me know if it helps experiment as well every set us is super different. Your goal should be to be able to have it in horizontal or vertical on its own with nice slow slow drop in between.

Hey there, this is looking interesting. In your last clip with the Tilta Float you had 2 original pendulums attached. Could you tell me about the difference between this and your old solution? Are there certain benefits? Could you post a video on the new version attached to the Float? Best regards and much appreciation

The difference is the load of the entire system to start with. Since I overloaded my gimbal part I couldn't have two pendulums and the sled setup it was too heavy for the float arm. So I found solution how to have a better pendulum cheap to make works great and my systems 10 times lighter now. Also the benefit of this pendulum is it's so much longer than original tilta ones that it helps to balance your system much better and easier.
