This may be a stupid question, but is the Nato rail on the bottom supposed to be in the kit. I've gotten to the part in the tutorial where you connect the vmount plate with a mini tripod on one side and then connect the pole to the top of the Vmount plate with a nato rail. But the Vmount plate that came in mine has a female nato rail receptor on the top. And the bottom of the rod has a female NATO rail receptor on the bottom. So, it's trying to connect a female NATO receiver to a female NATO receiver. It's almost like there's supposed to be some kind of double NATO rail device that lives between the bottom of the rod and the top of the Vmount plate. But I don't see anything else in the case that would serve that purpose. Am I missing a part that is supposed to connect the top of the Vmount plate to the bottom of the pole? Good day! Can you help me, please. When I use Tilta Float, the vest puts a lot of pressure on the back, it is very uncomfortable to work. Is this normal or maybe I'm using it wrong?
The Phone Clamp supports devices with a maximum height of 92mm so you could use this with a monitor as long as you had a power and video signal solution!
The body support/vest is where this system fails. Putting the wieight on the waist and only 1 shoulder strap is going to cause back problems, trust me.
Got mine yesterday. If you're a big guy like me, the vest won't even go round your waist. If you try and support this with tactical belts, it's a lottery. If you attach the arm the whole setup will tilt forward, screw up the balance of the arm and place such pressure into your back, you won't last even 3 minutes. It's a major, major issue. Can't recommend a purchase of this at all, even though the gimbal and the arm is fantastic quality. The vest/belt is literally the backbone of the system and it fails incredibly.
Is there a way to supply power to a RED Komodo from the sled? Or do you recommend using Canon BP batteries on the body? Can I mount a monitor/transmitter to the monitor bracket?
Yes! We'd recommend out Power Passthrough Plate for RS2! You can use any cold shoe mount with the Float meaning you could mount an external monitor with a more traditional cold shoe to 1/4"-20 adapter: tilta.com/shop/battery-plate-to-rs-2-power-pass-through-plate-kit/ tilta.com/shop/tiltaing-adjustable-cold-shoe-accessory-mounting-bracket/

Imagine all these set up just for 2-3 shots
So I didn't see him connect anything to the Tilta Float and his phone. How are you supposed to see what the camera sees without a cable.. live stream?
Does anyone have a preproduction unit and plan on posting a review of this bad boy? It is hard to find info on this setup other than this video.
Gopro9 電池不行嗎?
@tilta is there a way to make the belt bigger maybe 50 to 55”?
hi, but what if one wants to mount a monitor instead of the iphone?
The Phone Clamp supports devices with a maximum height of 92mm so you could use this with a monitor as long as you had a power and video signal solution!
I was thinking of building this. Would love to review it sometime. Let me know
The body support/vest is where this system fails. Putting the wieight on the waist and only 1 shoulder strap is going to cause back problems, trust me.
Thats what Im thinking, it needs a proper vest
im gonna be using my steadicam vest and arm with this. cant find any info on the size of the gimbal handle tho
We will be adding an additional support piece to address this issue!
You can use any cold shoe mount with the Float meaning you could mount an external monitor with a more traditional cold shoe to 1/4"-20 adapter:

Is the Tilta Float compatible with the Crane 3?
Yes!
@@TILTA they told me at CVP in London that there is no way to mount the Tilta Float to the Crane 3 so we had to go for the Thanos II in the end. Pity I really wanted the Tilta Float. I did not manage to convince them otherwise, I could not find any videos of the Crane 3 being used on the Tilta Float!
@@InlightmediaUk those guys didn't have much imagination. Its very possible
When is the tilta float back in Stock its beendet over 8 Weeks now
The Float will be back in stock for regular purchasing shortly after all of the backorders have shipped! If you have questions about a specific order, please contact sales@tilta.com
@@TILTA so i might better of to order now?
Is it possible to use the Tilta support arm with an RS2 without the pole? I really just want support because handholding the RS2 is too heavy.
Yes theoretically you could do this with a 1/4"-20 to baby pin adapter!
@@TILTA Can you say more than theoretically? Is it not possible for you to test it in this configuration and confirm that it is possible? It is a lot of money for me to spend if it does not quite work.
Is it possible to set a ronin mx on it ?
Theoretically as long as you can mount it via 1/4"-20, power it via 2 Pin and keep it under the arm's 22lb weight limit
Do you think it could be used as a regular steadycam with an fx9 ? I own a rs2, a7sIII and an fx9 and i thought it could be great to be able to use the fx9 on it also!
Yes! Although designed for gimbals, the Float can attach to any system via 1/4"-20 threads!
hey 铁头! could you please send a unit to Jason Wang’s way at TLDR Filmmaker? We look to him a lot for gears in the Indie filmmaking world. We would really love to see him doing a review of this against the Thanos Pro II! 我们很想看他的测试和推荐这个 Tilta Float!
I'd rather redo 4 years of college than watch this twice. Hey, this thing is cool, who knows how to run it? I'll call the guy from the video. He's the ONLY one.
Can I use it with the Ronin s?
Yes, you can use it for any gimbal with a 1/4 or 3/8 hole but would suggest having the thumb controller.
Does this only work with the RS2 gimbal or can I use MOZA air 2
This is compatible with any gimbal that can mount via 1/4"-20 and power by 2 Pin Lemo or internally!
Does the Float enables 12V power output on the RS2 accessories ports?
The Float provides the same power as the RS2 Battery Handle!
@@TILTA BTW...Would be a form of respect for customers to come in front and tell them when they gonna receive their Float. People complaining on every forum, group i know. Best regards
This thing is sweet but man it seems like a pain in the ass to set up and balance.
My case had no pendulum weights in it.
I was going to use the Ronin battery to power it, but because I don’t have any weights or the pendulum in my case, I will have to buy a TB50 battery.
I’m not very impressed.
These do not include the pendulum weights or Battery Handle Bracket! They only include a Gold Mount or V-Mount Battery Plate!
The full Packing List can be found here: tilta.com/shop/tilta-float-handheld-gimbal-support-system/
@@TILTA So are you telling me that I can’t use it without a TB50 battery??
It’s useless then. What’s the point of giving BestBoyAdam a case full of different weights and battery adapters and nothing to anyone else?
Maybe a video “what is the float system” would be a good start. I have no idea what that was and subtitles for instruction videos aren’t the best plan of action.
