I want to say THANK YOU for your free training videos I'm on a fixed income so these videos have been a big BLESSING. By using your videos I've been able to train my rescue dogs he 4 and he's come along way. Thanks 😊 again 😊

Update on Ace - I have gotten him involved in playing some of the games ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx1_veP7CApJK_GWy_TczaMciuG64PqJeU and I can see a difference in his confidence already! My other dog played along and he became intrigued - now its a daily part of our routine - about 3 times a day we do the shell game and the muffin tin game. I am so grateful for coming upon your training techniques!

What I like most about this channel he works with untrained dogs

Yes! It is so much easier to understand the baby step involved when you actually see the shaping happen.
What I like is he knows to train without punishing or hurting it.
It takes more patience to train a dog with love.

Hey, Animal Planet, give this guy his own show!!
:) Thanks. However, not interested. I had a show on Animal Planet ("SuperFetch), and the BBC ("Who Let the Dog Out?"). I LOVE UA-cam for so many reasons...worldwide distribution, ultimate creative control, and of course I own my own content. TV is not as good as what we are doing together as a community right here! Plus our numbers are far better here than on TV...so this is where we can make a bigger difference!
Zak George's Dog Training rEvolution m, I hadn't thought of those things. Well, I'm glad you're here at least. Now, do you have a video on pawing behavior? And how about a dog so fearful of The World outside the front door (and even sometimes outside the back door), that he is still not leash trained?
Will consider these topics! Thanks:)
hey ,if anyone else wants to learn about puppy training classes try Pycanta Puppy Trainer Protocol (should be on google have a look ) ? Ive heard some incredible things about it and my cousin got excellent success with it.
Zak George’s Dog Training Revolution . right, UA-cam is great ,that why I'm watching your video from Morocco , TKS ,

Our dog always barks at us when we try to watch tv so I tried the same tactic Zak uses when she's in the crate & he's talking to the camera. We turned on a show that we've seen before so it wasn't really one that we needed to hear & I kept the treats on the couch next to me where our dog couldn't get them. We started "watching" the show & every time he stopped barking, I quickly looked at him, said "yes, shhhh, quiet" and tossed him a treat. By the end of the 30 min episode he was laying quietly & not barking at all. We've continued practicing "shhhh, quiet" in other scenarios where he starts barking at us & he's doing great with almost no barking now. When he does start barking, he responds very well to our command for quiet & we're much less stressed, lol. Thanks for all the great videos, Zak! ^_^
This is how our first couple of days went, but then Sophie started extortion barking. I just don't know what to do now.
@@springdew9943 hey Stacey, our dog brought a pebble in from the yard once and dropped it on the coffee table. It was so cute we gave her a snack treat 😲. Now we hundreds of pebbles in the coffee table draw. She delivers a pebble and demands payment 😂😂😂

I have a Boxer Mix who is high energy. I got him at 8 weeks and I had no idea how challenging he would be. I actually thought about giving him up more than once but I knew I couldn't do that and live with myself. So I pushed on through and with the help of training videos like yours I think he has turned out to be an amazing dog and much loved member of my family. He is now almost 2 years old and he is awesome. He has made me a better person and I can't imagine life without him. Thank you for all you do to make us better dog parents.
i have a newly rescued australian cattledog and he barks like no other...how long did it take you to finally see results and how long did u train him for at a time"?
I have a6months old Cocopoo he never stops barking even do I take him for walks 3 times aday it adful his barking so so loud I love him but I am finding it so hard as I am nearly 70th am watching your video 💚🍀🇨🇮
That's very motivating, thanks for sharing your story. I'm working on my patience w our new pup we adopted. He's 4 months old, very energetic and loving, but we have a ten month old that I don't want to get startled or wake up at certain times. He's a good pup. He just needs some time, attention and technique I guess. Glad you kept you pup and all worked out for you!

Finally! A dog trainer that shows dogs acting normally! I love that he has dogs who are learning the process, not the perfect "this is how a trained dog looks" video!
Unfortunately my dog started barking once she heard this dog barking and now I cannot watch the rest lmao I will save it for later
Put on headphones
Me also but too embarrassed to admit, almost fell off my couch laughing 😂. 🐾❤️
Love this, it’s embarrassing having ppl over bc my dog won’t stop barking at every move they make
I can totally relate
What did u do to help my dog won't stop barking
Dog is just trying to protect you.
The top thing I’ve learned it how QUICKLY you’re meant to reward the behaviour you want, giving little to no time for failure. Growing up it was always to wait and see if they genuinely understood, but with my new puppy I’ve been rewarding the behaviours I want to see as quickly as I can and I’m seeing amazing outcomes! She’s confused by the reward at first but catches on very quickly as to why she’s being rewarded.
Yeah same here. It's amazing how clever they are, they just don't have as long attention spans as we do and they live in the moment so if you're not quick they've already moved onto the next stimulus and action in their head. I got a 6 week old puppy and in 1 day I taught him his name and to always "come". It's amazing how quickly they learn when you listen to the advice of good dog trainers.
I've joined the dog training revolution because I find positive reinforcement much more effective than positive punishment based training. I love these videos because they are so helpful and I relish at the fact that this revolution is only getting stronger and bigger.
Thank you! It's great to have you here!

I think the biggest reason I subscribed your channel is you train dogs without yelling at them or not hitting them.......you just use food in the best possible ways......thank you for this new way to train my pup........keep making videos
thank you for developing a cruelty free way of training dogs, I have incorporated many of your techniques and they work amazingly well!! keep it up
Luckily my pup has grown up, it even irritates me watching this dog barking. Zak you really have so much patience.
That dogs not very professional she's looking right into the camera

Hahaha!! Funny!
No she looking at Zack only once she looked at the camera 📸
Barbara Von Traumer Herder dogs don’t have to herd, just as hunting dogs don’t have to hunt. Dogs don’t care what they do so long as they get sufficient physical and mental stimulation.
Duh he’s trying to train an untrained dog what did you expect I am not t trying to be rude but it’s just the truth
By watching your videos I have learned that you have to be patient with your dogs because getting frustrated or mad could possibly make things worse and even break your bond with your amazing puppy/dog.
I LOVE how her eyes are 2 different colors!!!

The most valuable thing I've learned from watching some of your videos is to do training walks as separate events from exercise walks, and to work incrementally. I appreciate that your videos work with dogs that are not yet perfect.
i love how all u ever use is a treat for about everything u teach the dogs

One of my favorite quotes from Shrek was when Fiona said, “it talks?” And Shrek said, “Yea it’s getting him to shut up that’s the trick.” This is the same problem I’m having with my dog.

I like your positive and relationship-oriented training methods. Your videos are just the right length with just enough information and demonstration. It's the perfect balance because I don't get bored, but I'm not left wondering how you did it. I also like that you use others' dogs so they aren't already trained the way other training videos often do.

I really appreciate the fact that the dogs are not trained, little steps I learned. A variety of breeds, ages, etc. are shown. Zak obviously adores dogs, and accepts puppy kisses.
Great training, thank you!
I have learned so much from your videos! We have not had puppy for 30 years, so potty training, crate training, and everything else seemed daunting. Your positive, common sense approach to integrating our puppy into our home has been extremely helpful. I refer back to these videos frequently when our Corgi seems to be struggling with a behavior. I have discovered that her struggles are usually because I am needing the training. 😊 Thank you!
Thank you so much for not dramatizing this. I love how you give results without wasting our time with drama like those dog shows. This was very informative and I learned a lot from this.

Very similar to how I taught my mini schnauzer ( a yapping breed) not to bark in a noisy apartment building.
1. Taught her the "look" command. She had eyebrows and didn't always look at me unless I got down to her level. That was uncomfortable for me, so I taught her to look at me tilting her head up. Rewarded every time.
2. I did the same reward for quiet training as shown here and extending the time. Added the verbal "Shhhh!" When she barked and made her lay down on her side, a submissive posture. Thevreward for submitting quietly was being let up to play with me. But reward for quiet as before in the same training session. So reward for quiet, Shhhh! and submission for unwanted barking, then when quiet submit the reward of play. This took a while but she did couple Shhh! with lay down on her side and submit. Very helpful later for other training.
3. l added the door training by saying Shhhh! as people walked by and rewarding quiet submission with play. But if someone touched the door or wiggled the door knob I let her bark but quieted her on command. So now I had a dog that alerts if someone touches the door but not if other people or dogs pass by. That was my goal. And I could control the length of her barking by the command Shhh! Which put her down quietly on her side.
4. Final stage was a verbal reward and pet but no consistant treat. Do this by inconsistently rewarding with food interspersed with verbal reward and a pet. Frustration barking got stopped with Shhh! and down in submissive quiet posture and no reward. Now I have a dog that alerts when necessary, is quiet at other times, I can control the length of barking and I don't need to have treats on my person always.
Success!
You are my favorite trainer. I’m using your guidance to leash walk my puppy. Works like a charm.

I salute you dr.Zak.......
Awesome video !
these are just some notes for myself, ignore this!
exercise 1
- get their attention before they bark
- reassure/guide them if they are anxious
- teach them the treat won't be given instantly
- acknowledge restraint, no matter how small
- pull treat away if they bark
- if you are teaching a new skill, ignore barks
- keep eye contact with you, not the treat
- slowly push for longer periods of silence: 5, 7, 10, etc.
- if they bark before they're supposed to, take a step back
- just focus on basic communication, not really finetuning
exercise 2
- start small
- gradually work you way up
- vary the scenarios you train in:
-- in the crate
-- at the door
- in total, 3-4 weeks of training
alternative outlets
- 20 min walk
- engaging chew toys
- 20-30 min of fetch
I subscribed after getting a German Shepherd puppy and wanting to what's best for her. I watched your potty training video and have been a sub ever since!
