I don’t think you get enough credit for the amount of patience you have, Cole. People are literally moving your body - often in a way that’s not really considerate to your specific injury - and you keep good strides with it, which is totally admirable!
It's beautiful to see a couple that met in trachic situation it's nice to see that people can overlook the disability because it could not be easy but you saw the man behind the wheel chair it shows love is more than phisical
Love this channel so much. My best friend sister is also a quadriplegic, and when we go out with new people they are always so cautious and treating her like it is some tabu and i think this videos help a lot "normalizing" these kind of disability (english is not my first language so i really dont know if you use disability or other word) and i think it is amazing so thank you
An ADA seat would be helpful and extra space! You guys are amazing!!! An inspirational couple!!! I finally subscribed after binge-watching many episodes. As a Healthcare Interior Designer and former healthcare worker in a neuro/ortho unit, I am completely optimistic about your future. Stay healthy! All the best.
Who else was getting angry when they wasn't holding him correctly? I almost started yelling at the phone. I love y'all channel, thanks for sharing with us!
Same... I was getting so mad.. I'm thinking if he falls I'm coming thru this phone.. glad it worked out in the end.. but I know this kind of thing is taught better than this or at least I hope so. They were told he can't hold himself like that. I mean come on take your time and listen.
I have a daughter with severe disability and she is only 3 years old and already to travel can be veryy hard sometimes.. those airplane chairs definitely not supporting enough for people without trunk balance. But even if it's hard to travel it's not going to stop us from traveling ☺️
Thank you so much for this video. I have worked for an airline for 20 years now. We are given minimal training on transfer assist. We are taught to ask how the best way is to help you but unfortunately we don't have a chance to practice transfers much. I will be showing some of this video to my agents so they can see your more personal view of the airport/airplane experience. Your perspective has also helped me to see how we may better assist those with mobility issues. So keep doing what you're doing. You are helping people everywhere!
That is the most invasive body search I’ve ever seen. Omggggg I’m like so uncomfortable for you Cole that I’m shouting at the man through the screen!! I know the man is doing his job but damn! That is so excessive!!!
Are you talking about at the beginning of the video? That was standard procedure as far as I can tell. That's the experience I always have when flying as a wheelchair user. Actually Cole's experience seemed better than mine usually is.
I know it sucks. But i think the guy did a great job at his job. People probably have tried to hide many things in wheel chairs thinking they won’t be fully checked.
I have cerebral palsy and I just flew last week and they check me just like just a little bit less but I got to see my grandbaby for his first birthday and it was all worth it now I'm home safe God bless yous both 🙏🏼❤️😘
I have NEVER in my life seen someone search a person so damn much!!! My Dad has a metal plate in his leg and he tells TSA every time that he does, the machine beeps and of course they have to search him. Doesn't help that he is a 6'4" 245lb dark skinned black man of course. We will be advocating for a better flying experience overall for the disability community 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
Michaela Jordan I have a metal plate in my leg. In an airport down south, where it displays your body and where the “alert” was, and they pat down and checked the wrong leg!! 🤦🏻♀️
@@tiasky3438 Sooo dumb! This is why accessibility is good for EVERYONE it would just be so much better for the whole world if accessibility was considered in everyday things like this
Disabled or not, black or white, I am grateful to see that they take security seriously. None of us wants the wrong guys to take advantage of an easy access.
@@verabolton Yes of course but the point is they need to focus on accessibility. You are just wasting disabled people's time by searching them with tools that obviously don't work. It's already an ordeal to travel so many disabled people don't do it. Maybe if the whole travelling process was more accessible, including TSA, they would travel more. As for being black, systemic racism exists and they target people based on skin color. My dad is black and disabled so x2, but he got stopped and searched every time we went through TSA before he became disabled.
