for anyone having problems, the red line on the edit tabs timeline HAS to be on your fusion clip. even tutorial i looked at skipped this entirely. otherwise, great tutorial. easy to understand.
I don't care what others say about Shiny doing tutorials on Davinci Resolve. I've watched him do tutorials on Hitfilm and learned that well. Now I'm learning from him using Davinci. Because of Shiny I am about to start freelancing and make a living doing video editing for people. Keep educating the people Shiny. You've helped me and so many others out and probably helped millions discover a way to make a living.
Here's my tip to make this transition even better: Add a directional blur to both media 1 and 2 after the transform node, select zoom as the blur type and animate the length.
I m just trying to learn Da Vinci n when i watched some tutorials on the web i found that it is too difficult. But you have simplified the things so much that shows that you have a great experience in this field. Really helpful tutorial.
4:54 There is no need to rip up the connections and reconnect them. Just type Ctrl-T with the merge node selected. That will swap foreground and background inputs.
Thank you soooooo much for making a DaVinci Resolve tutorial, I love your hitfilm tutorials so much and have used a lot of them, but you have hardly any DaVinci ones. Hopefully you will be doing more in the future!
everything that i know about hitfilm its thanks to you if im uploading videos its thanks to your tutorial i have much to learn yet and cant wait for you upcoming videos thanks alot again
as an premiere pro editor, i´ve started to learn resolve now. the interface is a little confusing, and this tutorial helped me out a lot understanding the workflow of the fusion workspace. thank you very much, mate!
Arvin I´ve had a transition period using both systems while I was learning the workflow in Resolve, editing only short, personal stuff or social media (instagram) oriented content. Now, about 2-3 months later I only use Resolve, and my only regret is haven´t made this transition more soon. Premiere was crashing alot and was not so reliable to me. Resolve, in other hand, proved to be more stable and practical, since I have all the tools i need built in.
Just found your channel. Subbed right away as soon as I saw you're starting DR tut. Been using DR for 3 months but it's very hard to find tut like you did, easy and well explained. Hoping to see more of DR transition for beginner. Well done
This was so well detailed my Grandma could follow it! I'm just getting into Resolve, and videos like these are just too amazing for me! Great content (: (:
Such a well put tutorial. I really really appreciate it. You explained every step, talked us through everything you did and I am really thankful for your effort in making the video!
I do not know English very well. But your lessons are more understandable for me than in my native language. And your diction is just a delight! keep up the good work, you really helped me!
Your channel is amazing. I would love to see more content for Davinchi Resolve. I think Resolve and Hitfilm together form a very powerful editing suite.
What a good video mate, keep it in gong because your channel is fantastic, definitely the best DaVinci tutorials I’ve seen so far on UA-cam. Anyway thanks for the video and keep it up
Words can not describe how happy I am to have found this video man! Thank you so much! Detailed explanations with visual aid. Will definitely be checking out your other videos!
This works very well. What do I have to do when I want to zoom out? I have a clip of a drone and after 3 seconds the next clip is much higher. In between I would like to have the zoom out effect. What kind of numbers do I have to enter?
HELP! I love using davinci resolve, but I can't adjust the playback resolution, which makes it super laggy. I've tried tutorials and websites, but they don't work. Could you give me some advice or make a tutorial on it?
To everyone in the comments COMPLAINING about how this isn't HitFilm: If you watch enough of Shiny's previous videos, you will be able to reverse engineer and/or even read in between the lines and figure out what he is doing in DaVinci for HitFilm. Regardless if you have Express or Pro. I started editing on Express 4 (and still editing with Express 12) with the help of Shiny's older videos and because of them, I can understand what he is doing in DaVinci...without even owning DaVinci myself.
Chad Macato THIS! I was just gonna comment that sooo many tutorials are transferable between different software. You can watch an After Effects tut and apply it to HitFilm, you can watch a Nuke tut and apply it to HitFilm. People need to calm down and actually learn that it’s the principles of compositing, not the software.
for anyone having problems, the red line on the edit tabs timeline HAS to be on your fusion clip. even tutorial i looked at skipped this entirely. otherwise, great tutorial. easy to understand.
Shit took me a few minutes to figure it out, Thanks
gg bro, thanks
I was just about to freak out...
gg! saved my day
THANK YOU
