    Dear Leon and Natalie,
With all my love, I would like to give you a very big and sincere compliment.
For myself, the 3 R's are very important: REST, Regularity and Cleanliness.
These are three elements that I encounter time and again in your training.
Everyone has his/her own way of completing their training and posting it on UA-cam, so that we can learn from it.
What strikes me explicitly about you is that there is no ego underlying this at all. No crowds, noise or other elements that actually have nothing to do with the training. Peace is maintained time and time again, as is the clarity about how and why. And yes, that moves me in a way.
I don't want to detract from the other people who share their knowledge on UA-cam: just knowing that I watch this less and less, as they have different values for their videos. As indicated, I like rest in these types of training programs. For me you are really number 1 with a big dot.
It is always a pleasure to follow you and to really learn from you. I thank you very much for that, and thank you very much for sharing your knowledge with the world in a beautiful way.
Wish you continue to do well.
    Yours sincerely,
    Pierre

Hello Pierre, thank-you so much. What a thoughtful and kind message you've taken the time to write. There's so many other great trainers out there that we are constantly learning from. We appreciate your comments about the clarity and directness of the videos. We know there's so many other videos people could watch so we do our best to make them worthwhile.
We love seeing you in the comments, looking forward to conversing more in future videos :) Thank-you once again.
      Kind Regards,
      Leon + Natalie

I've used the published polygon points with a tracker before, but the "publish to intellitrack" would've saved me at least two hours of work. I had several shots with 6-13 track points for a line to run through, and I manually clicked "connect to" on every one of them. Thanks for the extremely clear presentation!

Two things that I didn't know using tracker was the Publish Points and Reduce Points. Thanks for sharing that!
Would have been nice to see the impact of reducing the points by doing a before and after representation. Also, I like how you guys used the magic mask into a merge node. I usually just copy the median anew. I feel kinda silly doing it that way now haha

Great video - just a hint from me: expressions are slower than modifiers so its better to link single parameters with 'connect to' option with publish modifier. This may not be heavy on simple compositions, but with large amount of nodes makes a big difference.

    • @team2films
      @team2films  Місяць тому

That's a great question. I'm sure it's relatively easy to connect the expressions in the correct places... but it's difficult to answer properly without knowing more about the specific templates or plugins that you are using.

@@team2films Is there any way I can share this information with you without the reply getting blocked by the UA-cam Blocker Filter?
I followed a simple quick Tutorial by Joris Hermans with a Fusion Compound Clip and a MotionVFX Plugin but for some reason when it came time to grade or publish it was obvious where the grades changes.
If you have the time to spare I would be honoured if you took a look at my episode called "Blackpool Skyline and Bonney Street Police Station". It was my first ever attempt at making any kind of motion graphics follow anything. It only lasts a couple of minutes and you can see the colour grade subtly change as the graphics appear and disappear throughout the episode. For the tiny amount of views probably nobody will notice. But for me, it stick's out like a sore thumb and I don't have the skill or knowledge to solve this puzzle.
As you can guess, this isn't my day job, its just a hobby to help me relax and unwind from my day job.

During the rock tracking section, when I select the 4 points and click the publish dropdown menu, the only options are to publish points, publish to path, publish to XYpath, and publish to Tracker. If I click publish to tracker, it does indeed create a singular intellitrack point, but it only does so on the point where I closed the loop for the mask. I've repeated the process 4 times and it always results in a single tracker point. Any idea what's going on?

@@KyleFilmsnot a lot. Remember core features are stable. It’s the new features that will have bugs. Maybe you’ll get an odd crash…. But it’s very unlikely it will corrupt a project. And there’s always project backups if you have a problem.
      It’s really not that risky

I agree with Coffee Lover who says "What a shame that it's using a version of Davinci that doesn't even exist yet and doesn't have a release date... It's only useful for enthusiasts who aren't professionals and for UA-camrs...
It has no use... A subject as cool as Motion Graphics but carried out in the "ghost 19" version - Zero usefulness!"
    Unfortunately he is correct

Hello. Thanks so much for watching and thanks too for commenting. We appreciate that not every video will be relevant to everyone. Here's some thoughts that you might find helpful.
      1. In the video we offer alternative solutions for users who are not using Studio or version 19.
      2. Based on previous year's release schedules, version 19 is likely to be out of BETA very soon. When that happens will it help address the issues of relevance you mentioned? There's a great deal of incredible 17, 18, 18.5 and 18.6 fusion motion graphics tutorials out there already. If you havn't already, please go watch @CaseyFaris he has some incredible tutorials, we highly recommend him. These version 19 tutorials that are being made will now be ready and continue to be useful when Resolve 19 is officially released.
      3. We're not sure why you feel 19 is a 'ghost version' or 'doesn't even exist'. In software release cycles, a beta is a well developed and tested and closely resembles the final release. As a result many high-end professionals are already using version 19. Others might prefer not to, but that doesn't alter the fact that many are. In many respects, Blackmagic's Resolve betas are more stable than some company's official releases.
Thanks so much for watching and commenting. We look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Fusion… Or as my friends and I like to call it…ConFusion … It’s so overly complicated. Doing all this in after effects is so so so much easier. Maybe not tracking, but everything else.

Thank-you for watching. We appreciate you sharing your thoughts too.
We use After Effects too. There are some clear advantages to both programs. But After Effects is not as simple as people think. If you’re used to driving on the left, driving on the right will be counter intuitive. If you are used to AE, yeah Fusion will seem confusing.
Fusion simplifies so many things that are complex in AE. Yes there are some operations that are more complex too. But there might not be a clear cut winner?
We’d love to see someone make an After Effects tutorial that recreates the graphic we created. The files are available, it would be great to have direct comparison.
Thanks for watching. It’s great to have you here.

any node based workflow is going to be confusing for a layered trained person. its not Fusion, its nodes that confuse your friends. Fusion is a compositor not a graphics package. Many people choose it though because it's free and you dont have to be under adobes indentured servitude program. especially their latest effort to steal your private work. no thanks.

I've been seeing you for more than a year complaining about how hard it is to use fusion on videos related to Fusion. If only you would've spent that time learning Fusion, then none of us would've been here. Also, if you think Fusion is overcomplicated, and it takes more time than AE, then why are you watching so many Fusion tutorials?
Bro there are many reasons why all pro VFX is done with nodes and not layers like AE. Only time doing something is easier in AE is when you are doing very basic simple mograph stuff but anytime things gets complex it becomes borderline impossible to work in AE and iterate where it's a breeze in Fusion, Nuke etc. and this is why every big time Hollywood compositing is done with nodes, not layers like AE.

You cut off Coffee Lover's ability to comment... His comments no longer go to your channel...
And why?... Just because sometimes he has a different opinion than you?
He doesn't offend, he's not aggressive... he's a very respected professional and helps a lot of people, but he's sincere in his opinions.
