Hi team 2. This is such a good tutorial. I am still left wondering how do I think intuitively about nodes and know when to call upon which node? I am so not confident in fusion. I hope you do a full course on fusion
Hello, There's so many different nodes in Fusion. We're still learning new ways to use them. The more time you spend working in Fusion, the more intuitively you will be able to work out which nodes to use. Experience comes with time! Keep on plugging away.
Great video - just a hint from me: expressions are slower than modifiers so its better to link single parameters with 'connect to' option with publish modifier. This may not be heavy on simple compositions, but with large amount of nodes makes a big difference.

Two things that I didn't know using tracker was the Publish Points and Reduce Points. Thanks for sharing that! Would have been nice to see the impact of reducing the points by doing a before and after representation. Also, I like how you guys used the magic mask into a merge node. I usually just copy the median anew. I feel kinda silly doing it that way now haha
So glad the video is helpful. Yeah, that's the beauty of node based compositing.... it's so easy to re-use resources throughout your composition without having to copy them. Copying it what you have to do in layer based compositing programs like AE. Great to have you here, thanks for watching.
Fantastic tutorial thank you guys. Quick question what specifications are you guys running? I did the magic mask with my M1 pro 32 Gb and it’s rendering about at 3sec/frame. it’s unusually slow for my system! Overall amazing job I enjoyed following along.
This tutorial is amazing. I'm using it now on a project. Quick question, I think you're pressing a short cut to be able to search for your nodes. What is it?
Wonderful tutorial, very clear and concise. Can this be done in the free version, I assume I would have had to draw the mask by hand on the hiker though.

Really interesting tutorial. However I do have one question that was NOT mentioned in the Tutorial. May I ask how I would include Motion Graphics Plugins from companies like Motion VFX which I bought to replicate what you created by pointing to items on the person walking in the second clip?
That's a great question. I'm sure it's relatively easy to connect the expressions in the correct places... but it's difficult to answer properly without knowing more about the specific templates or plugins that you are using.
@@team2films Is there any way I can share this information with you without the reply getting blocked by the UA-cam Blocker Filter? hey great video, but i only have one question, @ 3:43 you publish all points to intellitrack and they all get nodes, but i do the same thing but only get one intellitrack node. any thoughts on what im doing wrong?
I have an issue with Tracker1.Position5 "It did not move to the head position as per your video only up slightly from its present position. I fixed that in under tracker but wondering why it didn't snap in the first place to the correct position. I also notice that the red rectangle no longer fills the whole screen. It has moved to the left leaving a blank space on the right. I fixed that by changing the Size to 6. The trackers look fine under the tracker mode. I'm using 19.1 studio.
@@team2films The issue happens when I change the text to Equipment. I then select the Merge1 and enter the Tracker1.Position5 but nothing happens. At 19.23 everything goes haywire for me. No issues until that point. Text does not follow the head as per the video. It does not even snap to Tracker1 Position 5. Keen to know if anyone else got this working in 19.1. Things might have changed in this version?
Great video and very well put forward. I have clicked the link but it will not let me submit my email. Could you fix the continue button once email is entered? Thank you.
Hi There I was able to sort my mac mini out which allowed me to do this first tutorial. If I want to extend the the duration of the text "Hazard Awareness" how is that done. Cheers John
I’m currently using intel based iMac 2019 and planning to upgrade. I do lots of tracking, stabilisation and Noise Reduction in my projects. Would you recommend me to go with Mac Studio or a MacBook with M4 MAX chip will be enough for my needs ?
MacBook Pro and Mac Studio will have the same performance if they have the same chip. Check out our new video! Even upgrading to the M1 Max will be big jump for your intel performance. The M4 Max is excellent. Twice the performance of the M1 Max.
Thanks for the tutorial! I'm trying to follow along, but my Resolve is not behaving like yours and I don't understand why. During the rock tracking section, when I select the 4 points and click the publish dropdown menu, the only options are to publish points, publish to path, publish to XYpath, and publish to Tracker. If I click publish to tracker, it does indeed create a singular intellitrack point, but it only does so on the point where I closed the loop for the mask. I've repeated the process 4 times and it always results in a single tracker point. Any idea what's going on? I'm on Resolve 19 Build 25 Studio.
Hello, we're running a newer build of Studio 19 so I can't confirm whether it's in your build. Maybe it's only just been introduced. Try updating, and then please let us know if that fixes your problem.
@@team2films Yup, looks like it is only Beta 4 and later that works with this tutorial. Updated and will continue following along. Thanks again for your super comprehensive tutorials!
Is it possible to create some text template from Mister Horse Animation Composter in Adobe After Effect to DaVinci Resolve? Because the only reason I still use After Effect is just that text template.
Hi again to both of you. I have a fusion Q. I have a 20min timeline and around frame 15000 I want to work my clip in fusion. To save time I don't want to make new fusion clip. Just put the playhead on the clip and get to fusion tab. Then I want to make 5 more media in nodes (importing media from mediapool). The problem is that those new media nodes do not show in fusion so I have to fix Global in/out points. But if the new media is 30frames for example it is very difficult to drag the in/out points to where I want them to show. The only solution I have till now is to loop them and then trim the in/out points. I hope you understand the issue cause my English is not very good. Is there a way (except using new fusion clips or going back to time line) from the fusion tab to drag and drop a clip from media pool and have that clip shown in fusion? Keep up and thanks.
Thanks for the response. Glad you understand my problem. 😁I just tried it but other problems arise. I must not use full extents (in case I must change length) and other effects (retime) are lost. There is no way to work on Sub clips from the start of editing. So the best is loop (till now). I thought there was a way in fusion settings to change the duration of a clip so any secondary clip I bring from pool will be inside the frames I'm working of the first clip. Thanks for your time and have a nice day. Consider this for a future video. I think it will help others.

Hello, sorry you are having problems. Unfortunately it’s really hard to diagnose the issue from a short description. Can you provide any more detail?
@@team2films The issue happens when I change the text to Equipment. I then select the Merge1 and enter the Tracker1.Position5 but nothing happens. At 19.23 everything goes haywire for me. No issues until that point. Text does not follow the head as per the video. It does not even snap to Tracker1 Position 5. Keen to know if anyone else got this working in 19.1. Things might have changed in this version?
Great video and very well put forward. I have clicked the link but it will not let me submit my email. Could you fix the continue button once email is entered? Thank you.
Thanks for your speedy help Leon, downloaded now.
Hi There I was able to sort my mac mini out which allowed me to do this first tutorial. If I want to extend the the duration of the text "Hazard Awareness" how is that done. Cheers
John
Check the length of the node in the keyframe panel. Hope that makes sense
do we know when version 19 is coming out. I don't the beta version, when will rev 19 be released.
Not sure when the official release lands. Last year 18.5 came out around the end of July. The beta is pretty stable if you feel like giving it a try!
Hey, Would you suggest windows or Mac for the professional DaVinci?
Either. Great movies are created on both Mac and Windows. It doesn't make a difference.
@ I did watched that video but you deleted it

How can we use intelitrack to stabilize?
@@StuartHetzler Thanks for letting us know. Great to have you here.
Is it possible to create some text template from Mister Horse Animation Composter in Adobe After Effect to DaVinci Resolve? Because the only reason I still use After Effect is just that text template.
Yes, it’s possible to create templates for Fusion. There’s already lots of amazing fusion templates out there
why not?
Good question. Would sub clipping the clip first help? Then you can set the I and O using the source viewer in the media page.
I think it will help others.
why do some media pools while importing in fusion shows black screen?
What exactly do you mean?
The download doesn't see to be working. I put in my email but it says "Email required" so I'm stuck.
my publish points has only the "tracker" disponible, maybe my davinci is not that up to date
Intellitrack is only available in v19 studio. Not free
Wait! Is the version 19 out for public? Not in beta anymore?!
19 is still in beta. But the beta is really stable. Lots of people are using it in production.
@team2films thank you so much. I about to get my hands on the new micro panel but fear of beta. I'm glad to hear your information
@@KyleFilmsit’s not completely risk free, but we’ve been producing all our content on the beta since NAB. If you are in a Mac it’s easy to keep 18.6 installed. You can always backup your projects too. Just incase….
@team2films oh crap.... I'm on Windows, and may I ask what will be a major risk when update to version 19?
@@KyleFilmsnot a lot. Remember core features are stable. It’s the new features that will have bugs. Maybe you’ll get an odd crash…. But it’s very unlikely it will corrupt a project. And there’s always project backups if you have a problem.
It’s really not that risky
What is a magis "mosque?" Is he trying to say Mask?
Grow up.
You are the man but I hate home work.
Hahaha sorry! Short term pain, long term gain 😋
The links to download the files has been broken for months. :/
Just checked them and they are working just fine! There's two clips inside the lesson that you can download once you have logged in. What problem are you having exactly?
Right click, save as, and drop into the media pool. They do work.
Davince resolve STUDIO - Would love to hear this before I spend minutes in glacier pace video even while listening at x1,75.. not a nice way to atract clicks.. :-(
Hello, the video demonstrates both features for the free version and paid version of Resolve. It's possible to use the normal tracker to produce this effect too. Hope that helps.
